Oh, OK, I did not know there was 2 Wyndham Alltra Resorts, thanx for clearing things up for me. Strike 2 lol one is a family Resort, and the bars close at 11pm at the other, I don't need to drink after 11pm, but I do want the option to, if I wish. Guess I'll look up in the Cancun area, thanx again for setting me straight on the 2 Resorts 😁
Im here already for 5 days now.. i totally agreed with the food part that the hot dog and buffet is really suck. Room service is extra charge, and nkt sure if they changed now or its been like this. The first 2 days they did come and clean the room and since then no one ever come and do it
just call front desk to get it cleaned and make sure u tip after each cleaning! yeah next year i'm going to do a different resort! i might goto Puerta Vallarta next
Awesome Review. Beachside Walkout Rooms. We have two under two and hoping to be able to stay close to the room with a camera while still catching some rays during nap time.
yes they offer it, but its not by the resort. there are people on the beach that offer the activity! im not sure how much.... i would guess $50-$100 USD per person!
Ah Desy this is the best video review I've seen for a Cancun resort, as someone looking for our best option with young kids. Thank you! Based on this, I think this resort is a little too small/ boring for us as adults, but I love the kids pools. Any chance you have any suggestions on where else you'd stay with young kids (our are 2 and 6)? Looking at going in a few weeks time, so I'm mindful that we should be aiming Hotel Zone or further north for hopefully less seaweed on the beach. Moon Palace looks amazing but actually sounds like a nightmare haha, Grand Fiesta sounds almost perfect, but their kids pool is meh and you have to go into kids club to get to it. Planet Hollywood and Nickelodeon is way above budget. So I'm stuck.
Hi Hannah, So this was our first resort with kids, all of the other resorts I went to were with no kids, so kind of different perspective! You don't need to stay in the hotel zone, because we never left the resort. I've been to Dreams Riviera Maya 3 times and loved it, but again no kids. Barcelo Maya Palace I remember was interesting because they had their own kind of like private beach and they were in a cove type area so waves were super minimal. That was years ago so it might have changed! I also enjoyed going to the Royal Cancun (which is now the Hyatt Ziva next door)
appreciate your honesty. great review. Quick question will my 2-year-old be able to use the pirate ship pool as well as the other pools for her age? It is her Birthday and would ruin it if they restricted access for her. We are not really concerned or interested in the indoor kids club for her. Just the pools.
there is no restriction on the pools so yes your 2 year old can use the large pirate ship, the small pirate ship, the outdoor playground, and both pools! Theres only a restriction on the big castle slide and the kids club. BUT they do open up the kids club for an hour at 9am and 5pm for family time, so you can go there with your 2 year old and play inside the kids club, only during those times, or when they ssay "family time" on the schedule
I really enjoyed Dreams Riviera Cancun. Went there 3 times. There was another placed called the Royal Cancun, adults only, but it has now changed to become the Hyatt Ziva (right beside the Wyndham). After it got bought out by Hyatt, I haven't been there so I can't comment if its good or bad!
Hi! Thank you for your amazing video! Just have a few questions Is it really all inclusive? Or is there anything that wasn’t ? How long do you think is enough to stay there? Did you go during spring break? Thank you!
Yes it was all inclusive! Tips on top. I think that was it! And yes I went during spring break in Vancouver. I think the US has a different spring break
so i couldnt hear the guests next door. i only heard the people above us and it was only 1 out of the 7 nights. That night, I did not have the AC/Fan on so you can hear a lot. but with the fan on, it kind of drowned out everything and wasn't bothered by any other noise!
Awesome Review. Thanks. We are from Vancouver as well heading there next week. May I ask what kind of arrangement did you make for transportation from Airport to Hotel and back?? Please and thank you.
Ah nice, hope you guys have a great trip! We used First Choice VIP Cancun! They were great, also they were cheaper than the 2 other quotes we got! Alberto the owner was VERY responsive to messages which I really liked www.firstchoicevip.biz/ Another friend from Vancouver recommended them
it was open air lobby! no AC in the lobby. When we went, it wasn't bad at all. I wasn't sweating or anything in the lobby. Hallways are not AC'ed. Mexican restuarant, ice cream shop, buffet had AC. The italian restaurant had AC but it wasn't the greatest. Outdoor restaurant did not have AC as it was outdoors. Azul the asian restuarant and breakfast restaurant had AC. It was only the Italian restaurant that I had a complaint about
@@DesmondCheng Thanks! I’m guessing it will be hot & humid at the end of May. I heard the Italian restaurant is popular and has a wait. Since the restaurants don’t take reservations, did you guys go at 5pm to eat dinner every night?
@@JessieJoy-g8b Yeah its definitely a bit hotter at the end of May but I would just stay tuned for the weather! Restaurants will take reservations, but you need to arrive right at 5pm to make the reservation. So if you wanted a reso at 8pm, you need to line up at like 4:55pm, then make ur reso at 5pm for the 8pm, and then come back. Since I was with kids, we just ended up getting seated at 5pm!
Hi desy. Thanks for the video. I just booked this resort and I totally agreed with you about the Asian restaurant as I'm Chinese and also from Vance too lol... You really can't compare as I live in Richmond too. So I'm probably mostly gonna go for steak there and is the Mexican restaurant the only place that has steak? What about the premium package that you get to have premium drinks? The beach is beautiful. And if I go across the road ..I can reach the city center? I have no kid and I'm going with my gf there only, we are not young so is it a good place to chill?
Hi! The Italian had a beef short rib which was good! not steak but close enough! As for the premium package, I did not stay there, only my friend and yes you have your own private bar up there =) No across the road is just another restaurant. I think if you walk maybe 10-15min you will hit the mall. But yeah its a decent place to chill, beach was great! Night life won't be as entertaining for adults so I would suggest going into town! Coco Bongos was really fun! I went there a couple times (no kids)
@@DesmondCheng thanks again Desmond... Oh 1 more question.. the all inclusive include red and white wine too right? As my friends said some resorts don't include red wine ... But all the ones I've been to all have. Thanks
This was a GREAT review. You were honest with the pros/cons, and it didn’t sound like you were just summarizing what you read off the website. This was super helpful. Thank you!
You totally didn’t say how gross the stairs leading to the slides in the kids water park section were. I’m talking mold/mildew on the astroturf stairs that all the kids had to climb. It was so gross! We just got back, and my son ended up getting a horrible stomach bug our last day there. I posted a review on TripAdvisor. Also, the pools were way too small for the amount of people there and didn’t seem very clean.
@@dennisthemenace5150 Did you look at the astroturf stairs at the White Castle kids slide area? My husband and I saw the mildew/mold going all the way up on the stairs. I am not making this up and reported it to a kids club employee there.
