Hey cool video man love the table. As a full time wood worker and furniture maker those little dents/ dings can be easily fixed, simple take a damp washcloth place it over the dent and put a iron on steam setting. Put the iron on top of the damp rag and hold it on the dent for a few seconds they will go away as the wood expands. Good luck happy gaming!
I am an august backer and I’m glad you’re happy with yours. It’s encouraging to see them in the wild instead of the train of disappointment that are the Wyrmlife episodes and weekly updates where it’s just problem after problem after problem. Here’s to hoping production ramps up and we all get ours before they launch the second Kickstarter for MGT!
I'm hoping production ramps up so they can get them to the rest of you soon because I'm now waiting on that second MGT kickstarter to get more accessories. ;)
For what little its worth they've said a time or two they don't want to do a second table KS if they're still trying to deliver tables since it'd be a huge slap in the face to people. It's sad that they're not doing much for christmas promotions this year but they definitely need to take the time to focus on catching up before they collapse.
@@Alconium yep, that's what he said, he wants everyone that has ordered a table to recive them as quickly as possible, so that they can launch a new KS (where he would get more accessories for his table). Btw, i realize I'm now the third person in a row to say the exact same thing, long live the chain (?), I guess😄😅!
Hi! I realize this comment is a number of months old, but I did want to advise that I'm in the May 2021 tier and mine just arrived today (unfortunately work has me too wiped to build it tonight). Hoping you'll get your BackerKit and all that soon for deliver in a month or two. Fingers crossed for you!
Awesome video man, looking forward to my table that much more. I was having a hard time imagining what my large would look like. Seeing the medium tells me I ordered a monster. Also a March backer and now I'm anxious to get mine. Enjoy your table man.
As a "May" backer, I'll be waiting a little while longer still for my BW Wargaming table, I'd love a "one month" review after you've had some opportunities to get to use the table and if it has held up to expections
It will depend on if I have anything new to add; but I've added a reminder to my calendar around the 6 month point to think on it then - If I don't have much new to say, I'll still wait until I'm able to get new accessories, and of course will discuss it at that point.
@@JadekindGaming Perfect! My wife and I are interested in a gaming table, but are still undecided on whether or not to build our own, or go this route. We really like the different attachment options that this table has to offer.
Wyrmwood's very approachable if you have any issues with the table, and they have a channel on youtube, a vlog really, where they document the trials and tribulations of running a rapidly expanding business.
Haha, yeah, I follow Wyrm Lyfe, that's how I knew about the table launch early enough to get the 'March' shipping block. I've not really had any issues with the table; the very minor flaws in the surface were only noticeable because of how perfect it was in general, and the damage happens to be on the aprons that I shouldn't waste time replacing now, as I'd rather wait and get them once Wyrmwood has the laser to be able to engrave their logo as originally intended anyways.
@@JadekindGaming Well, you can always put in an email or contact them by phone to see what they can offer through the Craftsman's Promise. Even if you wouldn't get something now, at least it'd be on record.
September 2021 backer; hopefully will get mine by March 2022 if the 6 month delay is a constant. Maybe they will get through the backlog at a faster pace, but their latest video indicates they are having production issues in other aspects of the business. Time will tell. Still looking forward to getting my table! Thanks for posting your video; it gives me hope.
Awesome. I have been in the same boat wanting a table like this for years and I am a May backer waiting for my table. So starting to get excited that I might get my table here in the next month or so. I also got the dining height medium so it was nice to see what it looks like in a real gaming room and not just the promo footage.
Great video for setting expectations! I ordered a Large for the November wave, so fingers crossed that I get mine before the end of the year. Glad to see yours arrived in such nice shape!
I have been very pleased, and I also hope they manage to ramp up production like they keep saying they should be able to; I want them to finish fulfilling so I can get a chance to order more accessories.
Makes me more anxious for mine to arrive. I've got a bit of a wait as I'm in the International tier of shipping. Hop and skip to Canada. I went for the Wargaming table in Maple.
I know this is an older video but sometimes with dents like that you can get a damp wash cloth and a clothing iron, and the steam will lift the dented part up.
Really cool. I’ve got to wait a while for mine as I got an international one which is the last month. Glad to hear you feel it’s a bit higher up as the big worry when I ordered mine is my long legs might be uncomfortable under it. If you can message the gap from floor to under the vault that would be really useful
If it really looks jet black even in proper lighting; I'd contact customer support - as the specs & tolerances document (found here: wyrmwoodgaming.com/the-modular-game-table/ ) makes it clear that it should be dark brown...
There is a small ledge that one could balance a book on or write on if needed. Otherwise, books can be stored in the vault or on the floor and I have clipboards if anyone wants a larger writing surface.
We solved this issue with our table. There is 14” all the way around..ample room for books, dice trays, towers, etc. debuting at GenCon 2021. Check us out!
Hi Adam, do you mind if I ask who the shipping company was? I used to work for one of the most notorious freight carriers in the business for being lackadaisical about safe cargo handling, and this has their careless M.O. written all over it. :-(
@@JadekindGaming Ah, gotcha. :-) I worked for FedEx Freight, and they were JUST AS BAD, I assure you. :-) That table is awesome. I really want one now. Thanks for the video!
Hey, do you think a medium table could sit 8 people for dining? I know their photo shows 6 placemats. I have a table that's 36" x 60" overall and fits 6 comfortably for dining. Considering it's 44" x 72", it must be able to sit 8 for dining? Thanks for taking the time to make this video and thanks in advance if you are able to answer.
It would be tight - I think it would work if you sometimes have some spare guests, but I wouldn't want to try to do so on a daily basis. The extra width doesn't really help with additional seating unless some people are at corners, so really you are only getting an extra foot of space compared to your existing table.
@@JadekindGaming well there’s always the conversation kit one day! Thanks again for the answer. I’ll try and return here and post my own opinion on it once I have mine too. I’m hoping 3 on each side and 1 at each end for occasional guests.
I also backed a table but I haven’t received mine yet. How easy it is to write on paper with the table? Are you able to write with the paper on the felt or do you have to use the wood ledge? I’m mostly playing board games and wondering how I’m going to write scores on a score sheet.
On the table surface or the ledge it is simple to write on - some pens might give difficulty as it is a hard surface. I have not actually tried writing on the felt, but would not bother to try as it seems clear that it would be too soft of a surface to write on. Personally I have clipboards around and anyone not wanting to use the ledge to write on when the vault is in use can use a clipboard.
How thick are the topper pieces? Do they come together so that the seam is less noticable? It seems like a larger gap on the video than in their photos.
The location of the gap is noticeable, as there is a chamfered edge on each one - however, there isn't any gap, the bulk of the topper is held together with strong magnets and there is a gasket of some sort between each piece.
I would call it more 'leak resistant.' If you left a spill sitting there, it would eventually get through and a bit of liquid could splash out that sits above the gasket when you pull the topper apart after cleaning up the spill that can be seen - but it will certainly reduce any spill issue.
@@JadekindGaming I just went to confirm my order. I got pretty much the same as you, but the large size instead of medium. The difference for medium to large was $200 I think. The shipping alone was $780. My total cost was considerably over $1600. I think their prices went up.
No, it's a mortise and tenon joint; which I should have remembered as the reason that the table was late was because the M&T machine didn't arrive to Wyrmwood when it was supposed to - and M&T is short for mortise and tenon...
