Yeah I felt like this was a retread of ideas they explored in KillSwitch but it was shot so much better and the pacing was better and they let David and Gillian improv and mess around and it shows! Because they're funny !!

Jillian Fitzpatrick, yes! This whole episode felt like "Kill Switch 2!" I kept expecting "Bite me" to show up on the screen. However, loved that ep and loved this one... I also am loving these recaps!

Regarding the SpankBank folder; Frohike had the hots for Scully since the season 1 episode E.B.E. when he was taking her picture with his camera. The picture on the folder looked like Scully in Mid-Season 1 and early Season 2.

Yup. Mulder had said that everything regarding Langley was deleted, but Frohike and Buyers files were still there. The SpankBank folder was in Frohikes file.

seriously though much love to Chris Carter, but bring in a team to write eps. Vince Gilligan kills it, and there were scenes in this one that made me like 1999 level happy. Scully being bossy on the bus, hell yes. I watch stuff like that, and I'm like this can go on forever. 5 eps every few years until I die... pls.

I loved this episode! it was amazing! the only thing i had to say is did we forget that Scully DID live with Mulder at the little house that Mulder lives at? I would imagine that she still has some things there even tho she has her own apartment in the city.

Mulder and Scully are older although the look Scully gives Mulder at 5:21 is precious. It reminds me of the smile she gave him in the pilot when he tells her it's Steven Spielberg at the door. They finally stop running from each other and own what everyone else already knows, there is no one for them except each other. Content with their relationship, in a rustic home (love to have it) it gives the fan hope and yes you are right: their touches = sex for every other TV couple. We are grateful for the simple touch of the arm or chest as it may be. It is a shame the X-files ended.....but thankfully "streaming" and DVD's exist!!

Great review. This episode was vastly different from the season opener. CC lost his touch and just needs to stop, he doesn't know how to write the characters anymore and his plots suck alien balls. This is the Mulder and Scully I've been waiting to see, pure chemistry in motion. The story overall wasn't too bad, the plot ties into another we see more of in his upcoming episodes with residual of the previous syndicate. Now, why would they upload the assassin to terminate Langley? He was an actual living person, and it got me wondering if a part of Langley is alive and lost in some dark dank matter hole, not just as artificial intelligence data. Which also remind me of Killswitch. Great episode, very well done. And next week looks just as good, I can't wait

This episode was better than last week's even though i prefer the mythology episodes. I wish the writting was way better. Because you can see even the actors not as much interested in the series. I wish they would bring much better writters because i love this series and i'd love it to continue for a couple more seasons. If not then i hope this season ends up in a good note with a happy ending for Mulder, Skully and William.

The black mirror's vibe was a bit strange since they throw so many elements without really explaining them but as you said the important thing is Mulder and Scully back together in action! They were adorable with all the little jokes and touches and the bar scene with Scully trying to sleep is perfect (and I think there's a theme here with Scully not having a good night sleep since starting the x files)

I completely agree with you on everything you've said! Especially about how other fandoms get kissing, foreplay scenes, post-coital scenes and we're freaking out about Scully rubbing Mulder's clothed chest and him with his hand on her shoulder. Get your shit together X Files writers!

Be carefull with the drinking. I had to deal with withdrawal symptoms after I quit drinking last year. I was drinking regularly but I wasnt a typically drinker. More like you, drinking some wine, beer whiskey like one - 3 times in a week. Sometimes there was a 2 weeks break. Sometimes I was just dizzy or drunk one time in a week. I did this for about 2 years without realizing that my drinking behaivor was getting problematical. Idk how often you drink, but be careful. Alcohol is a hell of a drug and underated.

girl you're so funny I'm a fan, you make me laugh so hard with your comments and I can totally relate... This episode was a winner in my book, the opening scene was litterally perfect. Ah that good ol' chemistry is back! Love them! The only thing I could have done without was that part where scully winks at the guy and Mulder acts like a 10 year old. no seriously, they are on this very important and dangerous mission, risking their lives on it and they act like two teenagers. They have the unspoken communication for that, you know... other than that I loved every bit of it...

I think the reason she says our home, is because the break up hasn't happened yet, if my theory is correct season 10 was in Scully's mind, I think her relationship with Mulder is going to be challenged when they find out CSM might be their son's father... I know that things don't really add up, but hey it's Chris Carter's episode right, nothing really makes sense anymore... I think she still lives there but while working they keep different room for professional reasons... we'll see what comes out of next week's episode!

First Person Shooter and Kill Switch traces throughout this episode. I still saw some flaws but I'd gladly watch more episodes like this than what was done last week. Hope we get more of this kind or even better in the coming weeks. :)

Ditto on all of that ... you stole the words right out of my brain only probably way better versed. Cuteness overload but we need more because there could never really be too much. Dare I say it but this episode was like soft core for me. Can't wait for more of Mulder and Scully hotnesstogethernessallofdat!
