@@tovsteh i didn't say anything about anyones opinions, "offensive" or not. Misinformation, meaning blatantly untrue statements presented as truth, are rampant on the platform. that's not a matter of opinion.
@@maximiliandort3489 It depends on the subject. Its too popular for people to label something they disagree with as "misinformation". The mainstream media/governments do this all the time. Nobody is an arbiter of truth, because that insinuates that you know everything. Nobody does.
I actually deleted my account recently. I hated it when it was too left, now I hate it that its too right. I see no point in using it. Its just pure chaos with the absolute worst takes on every issue 24-7.
It's a disgusting app. I can't look at it for more than 10 seconds, it's all trash. Even things that might not be trash then become trash because they're in that dumpster.
I deleted my reddit account because the heavy left wing bias on there, and I lean left! Echo chambers just get annoying, and they prevent me from rethinking any poor views I might have.
@_WeDontKnow_ Yeah Reddit is one of the worst for that. It's almost cult-like. I still have my account as its useful for game info at times. But yeah, it's bad.
@@kizzumeReddit is very useful if you’re just passing through, but it’s easy to get sucked in where you will find a group of “regulars” who are generally part of the hivemind. They’ll pounce on you and shame you for deviating at all from the most left wing ideas.
I have said for a long time that Elon is not the hero people pretend that he is. He bought a big boost for his product and his ego when he acquired twitter.
I am middle right politically but the last year I see the rise of the woke right who show the same behavior has woke left. There are some nuances differences but it boils down to the same excommunicato, canceling and "if you not for the group you are against it" type of acting.
I have views that mix elements of the left, center, and right so I'm friends with all kinds of people, but I left Twitter for a different reason. The site has become pay-to-play. When people began paywalling their tweets, I was like "I'm done", people can pay 35 dollars to read something an internet personality typed on the toilet, but I'll pass.
I don't know, I just use it to follow artists. I don't see much political stuff on my for you feed, though with the election I do see it occasionally. If you click on the trending tabs, thats when I get inundated with politics.
There are a lot of solid and really good points. Right on brother, great video. Don't Forget To hit that like, I definitely hit the like, whatcha waiting for 👍🏼🤙🏼💯
I'm fairly conservative, and hated the extreme liberal bias of old Twitter, but I wish we had that Twitter back. Not because the new one is too biased or whatever, but because the For You page sucks ass (hard), and you have to have it on the FYP in order to see if there are any spaces active and who's on them. I tweeted at Elon to change that but obviously it's like that for a reason. I'm sick of the engagement farming and the randomly violent videos of black people pummeling a white girl or whatever. I don't want to see that shit.
Still the best audio, the best lighting and the most authentic channel on RU-vid. Thanks for what you do brother Even billionaires can be dead beat dads. I wish Elon would do better.
Hey I like the cops, but I'm also a criminal in my state(I smoke weed) I love watching body cam videos and really respect their job. They are basically adult babysitters with periods of paperwork and occasionally something harrowing. I also know there can be bad cops and i call it out when i see it. Midwest and WI body cam videos hit different too. I've seen some of the most respectful kind and caring cops I've ever seen on those channels. i remember showing one of my more lefty friends a bunch of WI body cams and after vid 3 she was like "WTF? fund these police! they are example to all other officers" never thought id hear that from a ACAB person.
What I'm tired of is being called "Right wing" because my opinions do not lean to the Far Left. I consider myself a (classical) Liberal, but that word has been corrupted by the modern Left who are not Liberal by definition.
center left is being pushed more to the middle because of extremists. It happens on the right too but not as often lately. the pendulum will swing back soon
Classical liberalism is right-wing. Liberalism is right-wing. Neoliberalism is right-wing. Unless you decenter the market from influencing the distribution of power, you have a right-wing ideology. This is quite simple, please don’t be offended by people simply stating the truth You even claim yourself that left-wingers are not liberal (which is true), so why are you surprised to hear that liberals are right-wing?
I'm not on X. I agree with the view that Elon bought it so he can use the platform as a megaphone for his opinions. He sees it as a way he can help to push society in a direction he thinks is good for mankind. The problem is that everybody feels that their ideas or beliefs will be best for mankind, but some of us understand that it can be a dangerous thing when its one man's opinion that is so amplified.
I left X 'organically'. It's just not engaging for me anymore. It was already quite bad during the end of Twitter. There is no good discussion to be had there anymore. Just charged statements, bots, clout chasers. I could care less what politics are promoted there, but the site is no longer usable. RU-vid comments are better, and RU-vid comments are terrible. He really ruined that site.
@@kizzume you know it's a choice right? No one is forced into X Not even Corpo ads But i remember in 2020 how unfair Twitter was for Republicans. Today it is a safe platform for both parties. But left, like a spoiled kid wants everything for themselves, you already have everything, you got Disney, Hollywood, News, Facebook, Presidency. But i guess left wants everything for themselfs
Like with most of what Elon Musk is doing, he only banned "cis" because he is trolling. He is trying to prove a point that the left is "over censoring" words by over-censoring words of his own. While I don't think 100% of what he is doing he is self-aware trolling, I think a lot more of it is than what people would like to admit.
What is this 90% figure you're bringing up? What is 90%? Also, X doesn't censor the things that other platforms do censor. People on the left leave when there's not enough moderation and censorship.
I've been going to political text forums since the BBS days of the late 1980s, and what holds true on *all* forms of political discourse online (and often offline as well), if there's too much moderation, people on the right leave because people on the left keep labeling people on the right as bigots (or something that ends in ist or phobic) for simply stating facts, even hard statistics. If there's too little moderation, people on the left leave because they want to control people's speech and get so offended at anything that doesn't affirm their inaccurate worldviews. So no, I disagree with your assessment.
X is the only major platform that does not supress right wing opinion, which represents roughly 50 per cent of the Western population. It seems odd because we are used to having half the political opinions available stepped on or banned.
Correct. The Left will label any opinion that goes against their narratives as "hate" and justify suppression of said opinion accordingly. I dont use X, but I am glad it exists.
Before twitter was bought by Elon Musk, it was a predominantly left wing platform so i guess it's fair it's right wing now. X is the only big right wing platform, everything else is left wing so i think it's fair game to be honest.
Good. Time to balance the scales.. (Ummm, no- there wasn't 'always' rules on social media. MySpace was definitely the Wild West. Looking forward to the return of actual free speech)..
2:45 I dunno, I see a lot of conservative-leaning people being anti-police and pro-Constitution. Not the majority I guess, but a lot, a lot more than in recent years
