ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

this is some heavy nostalgic stuff here, before the animated series, the arcade and movies...comics and cards were just the thing growing up when I was in grade school in the early 90s....these were like my treasure back then...

Bro you just brought back my childhood thank you very much. I wish they still sold comic cards I miss the ones that were puzzles like the one I remember is where on one page was Spiderman in the middle, then there was Cardiac, at least two goblins were on there and black cat too, I don't remember the rest. But collecting those things were freaking awesome.

I'm pretty sure the only guarantees with a box of cards is like rarity ratios, I don't think anything guarantees the full set from a box but this is also more simple than what I'm used to seeing unboxed

I’m glad the put one holo in there. Five would have been better. Very good collection. Iceman, Beast, and Maverick cards are my favorite. So glad we have got Lee inspired Marvel Legends figures. I’d like some more Shi’ar inspired figures as well as Brotherhood and Hellfire club. Never rally read Xcallibur but I may.

i like the different kinda review. things like this that attracted us collectors that were kids in late 80s and early 90s to marvel or action figures. to some this may not b relevant but personally this, the cartoons, and then the comics attracted me into my adult days of this hobby

There is no guarantee that you will get a complete set if you buy a box of cards. That’s how they make their money in the trading card industry by hoping you will have to buy tons more than you want just to complete the set. LoL in the days before the internet and if you didn’t have friends who collected the end result was maybe you completed the set but your also had crap ton of doubles or more that you needed to get rid of. Also keep in mind they usually purposely make some cards rarer than others.

Thank you for keeping it real...other people that did this unboxing didn’t record every pack and at the end said they got all 4 holograms in the box... which I don’t believe there are usually 2 holograms per box...too bad you only got one

I just watched this, a little late, usually with boxes youd get a whole set at least (maybe 1 or 2 missing regular cards) though with the holograms or special cards those would be harder to get and usually you'd only get about 1-3 per box depending on the size of the complete teck if Im correct (you wouldnt usually get a complete set of the special figures) at least that was my expirience when I got full boxes as teen (some other marvel series like the marvel masterpiece or something like that). BTW I still have these cards from when I bought packs at a card store when I was young, dont have the complete set but I do have the complete danger room set and (luckyly) I think I did manage to get 4 out of the 5 holograms

I bought a whole box when it first came out, it didn’t have the whole set, i was missing 1 or 2 danger room cards and maybe another 1 or 2 from the regular set, and i got the same hologram as you. I was really upset the whole set wasn’t included for me. Later on when other card sets came out, I found out at conventions you could just buy the whole set for like 10-15 bucks already made.

Trading cards have always been one of my side collections. Here and there when there’s no figures to collect I’ll hit up eBay and pickup some vintage topps cards. Loved these two videos man, would love to see more trading cars unboxing! I found it relaxing and exciting to watch.
