Cyclops, this whole season, had such good dialogue. Loved when he tells Logan "Don't you dare break her heart. Be the best at what you do....heal"...he knows how much he cares for her, and is the bigger man in that moment knowing it's what he needs to hear.
Yeah, this series truly did my man Scott Summers justice and truly showed people why he was the first X-Man and the leader of the X-Men. Seeing his dope fights with Bastion and how he tried to empathise with Bastion, not to mention seeing his tearful goodbye to Nathan/Cable
The irony is that in the XMovies, James Marsden was a _perfect_ casting choice for Cyclops. His looks, his voice, his mannerisms and physicality were all spot-on. It’s just a shame they never gave him anything to do.
To every single individual involved in any way to make this season possible, take a bow! This series single-handedly rekindled the dying embers of my love for comic book stories post Endgame.
You know we haven't seen Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Elektra and Moon Knight as cameos in every animated series throughout the years.
I just want to say, I found you via X-Men reactions and you have been a joy to watch through this first season journey. Your positivity and insights made me a subscriber after the first reaction! Well done. :)
I love that y'all are such comic fans. Nothing has surprised you guys with this show because you know ALL hehe. Its been great watching your reactions to this show!
I believe Storm, Morph, and Wolverine were also on the board labeled as "Missing - Presumed Dead," because they were still in the jet on the Astroid when it teleported through time. We don't see where they end up, however.
@@murk4552 Bishop, Forge, Cable, Jubilee, Sunspot are the 5 in the present. The new team created that Bishop and Forge were talking about is likely XFactor and will be everyone still labeled active on Forges board, 9 in total. They'll take on Apocalypse and his Horseman (mutants that "died" in Genosha) in the present.
Imagine Cables face when Scott and Jean return and tell him that the ones who taught him the stories of the xmen when he was a kid were actually those two lol
I honestly cannot put into words how phenomenal this finale and, frankly, this entire show have been. This show is the best Marvel Studios has ever given us since Endgame! *PEAK MARVEL MEDIA!* This show makes the Fox X-Men movies look like amateurs Bastion honestly became one of my favourite X-Men/Marvel villains after watching this show and this epic finale. Bro, the number of cameos in this series is INSANE! Cyclops and Jean saying goodbye to Cable/Nathan honestly has me in tears🥺. YO, APOCALYSE IS COMING BACK IN SEASON 2 AND DEFINITELY BRING GAMIT BACK AS HIS HORESMAN OF DEATH, JUST IN THE COMICS! I can imagine how heartbroken Rogue will be when she is forced to fight the man she loves😱💔
16:02 I realized something. That point, the first time Bastion shows any physical damage like that? It was because of Jubilee. I'm so happy she got that respect
Gotta love MVP Magneto! I bet Magneto heals that stab wound in his ribs quickly with the ancient magic/technology of that advanced civilization in the past.
Wolverine was absolutely zapped--he was on the Blackbird on Asteroid M, along with Morph. So we get to explore their interesting relationship next season in whatever time zone they wound up in. :D And Roberto & Jubilee were asteroid-adjacent but maybe far enough away to not be zapped, giving them "elder X-men" status for any new team, which would be interesting to explore.
Great reaction. I always look forward to it. You guys have some of the best comic insights, having read the comics. The little details they put into this show really shows the love the creative team have for this series. When Bastion said it took him 4621 seconds to destroy Genosha that is the amount of time from the 1st ep to ep 5 when it all went down. Crazy. Awesome comic room, that Alex Ross lithograph is amazing. 👊🏼
BC Egypt - Charles, Erik, Hank, Kurt & Rogue Future - Jean(Madelyn in mind) & Scott Present - Lucas, Forge, Roberto, & Jubilee Unseen - Logan, Morph, & Ororo Is this correct for the current locations for the team? The unseen could be horseman. War, Famine & Pestilence.
i suspect cable was raised by scott and jean in the future and these are the "future rebel leaders" he's been talking about and referencing, he was just bitter bc he felt he should have been with his family
I have to say it's been a joy seeing your reactions! Very joyful and emotional. I'm so happy that such an amazing show has unified the comic book fandom this much! Cheers and greetings from Colombia!
Thank you! I’m cataloguing the boxes now 😅 it’s catharic and relaxing. but almost at the halfway point. 73 boxes in….. but it’s good having identifiers for single issues with boxes to now find easier haha
I don't think Morph's words, as Jean, were entirely to make Logan feel better, I think those were actually Morph's feelings that they never said out loud. At least that's the vibe I've gotten through the season.
@@ManOfX305 That makes it even more likely since all the hallucinations were based off each individual person, that's why when Morph says "don't you know? We're in hell" the mansion shifts into a hellscape
@@bfang19 tell me you've never read an X-Men comic without telling me you've never read an X-Men comic. This entire season has had queer undertones throughout, hell Jubille & Roberto's dialog, in the aftermath of the Genosha massacre, was influenced by the Pulse Nightclub shooting. I don't have any "gay fantasies", I'm straight, but I can read undertones, especially when Morph says, in a sexual way, "Do you need me to wash your back" when he thought Wolverine was in the shower.
Like I feel most people, I discovered your channel through this show. I love your reactions as comic fans and readers, as well as having good insights. I was a reader, but I gave up on comics around the time that Bastion was the big bad before it was revealed who and what he was exactly. This season has been phenomenal and is my new gold standard on reviving a decade(s) old show for a new era.
I want to say thank you to both of you. I have no one to share this with and watching each episode again with both of you lets my dork flag fly free. Thank you!
Just want to say it’s been a pleasure finding this channel for these reactions. Your knowledge and passion for the material is fantastic and brings a whole new level of joy to the experience.
The showrunner confirmed on Twitter that Morph was revealing they have feelings for Logan. I think we have to wait and see if it’s reciprocated though.
Such a pleasure watching your reactions. The passion and knowledge that you have and share are so refreshing to partake. Totally thought we were gonna get Onslaught. Maybe we still can, but I can't wait to see where we go from here. This series may have restored my faith in Marvel's(Disney's) direction.
The one thing shocked and amazed me here is that they finaly showed Jubilee being able to handle herself...she was downplayed and disrespected in the movies, and downplayed in the 90's version...knowing her powers are on sub-atomic level...that even emma frost said she can also block minor psychic attacks... Also gambit is gonna be a horseman of death... Rachel summers/askani showing up Peter parker and mj cameo, dr strange, black panther, psylocke, wanda and pietro and polaris in the boat... Bishop coming back Apocalypse being a main villain in season 2... My theory on who sent them away from past and future might be Bastion, i don't think he is dead... can't wait foe season 2!!
Just wanna say your guys’ reactions have been awesome, and I LOVE your breakdown/commentary after the video. Love it. Other channels just do a minute or to after but I really love you guys diving in after. Will be back for more reactions!
I believe the area of the moon where they were fighting is the same spot the Shi'ar and X-Men battled for the fate of Jean during the Dark Phoenix Saga in the original series, which established there was air on different hidden pockets on the moon. As for Jubiliee and Sunspot breathing in space... uhhh.... yeah... your guess is as good as mine.
Bro, I appreciated you putting relative comics in the background the whole season. You have a massive collection. I’m down for a video of you just showing off your collection
Not sure if we'll ever get Colossus. Most of the characters Morph turned into was a tribute to their voice actors that passed away. The voice actor for Colossus and Juggernaut passed back in 2017 I believe.
I want to lead with how much I love your informed analysis, thank you!! But I think you may have overlooked something. Jubilee and Sunspot got back to Earth after getting sucked out of the falling asteroid. Wolverine didn't. He and Morph were still in the medbay on the plane. And Storm isn't shown in the end scene either. And if Storm was with Forge, she'd be shown working with him. So do you think Storm, Wolverine, and Morph might be in a third timeline? Or does Apocalypse already have them for 3 horsemen, just needing Gambit for the four? That seems to work, but then we miss out on the whole feral phase of Wolverine. It might be neat if those three are in the Savage Land (or a time of dinosaurs?) where the feral aspect will fit in. Then Bishop and Forge can rescue them first while the Apocalypse storylines develop? Anyway, can't wait for next season, or any other shows you guys react to!
In my guess...I actually think they are in the present (event though Forge hasn't found them) there is a comic book where the xmen get "blip" across different timeline periods and they were covertly to take down their enemies....but it just a guess
Also, notice how Gambit was never fully removed from the opening? He was still in the jet at the beginning and still ran alongside the team at the end. So, in a way, they were always hinting that he would come back. If we are going based on the fact that we have gotten so many hints about what was coming in the intros.
Wow such amazing collection you guys got! My cousin when i was younger had a chest full of comics and thats where i discovered the stories of the x-men 😊
The bastion Form with the "wings" is from the comics from "Second Coming" 2010's X-Force #26 Spoiler Rogue is crazy powerful and bastion Kills Nightcrawler while he is teleporting.
Heard the actress who voices Rogue just posted that she's done with recording her lines. Wouldn't they need to have the animation mostly done so the voice actors can see how the scene plays out so they know how to deliver the lines??? Season 2 might not be as far off as we think.
I believe the wait time would probably be a good 6 months, I don't think Marvel wants to lose the momentum they currently have, that's why they are so eager to find a new head writer for season 3....so they finished with season 3 developments
"ALL HAIL THE APOCALPYSE! LOOK UPON HIM AND DESPAIR." I was worried they might shoehorn him in this season and make it feel bland. I am happy they didn't. My favorite character of all and hopefully there won't be any shenanigans happen to keep season two from launching. (Look at you Wolverine & The X-Men... that tease at the end killed me). I can't wait to see all the Apocalypse storylines played out. I was sure that Age of Apocalypse would happen before Onslaught could fire off. Small notes: Storms's "you're fucked" laugh at Bastion. So good. Between Allison and Lenore, I can't ever see these characters without their voices. Grayson Creed getting the push for President. Feels like a Registration Act , a Civil War, and maybe an AvX. I feel that is set for an Avenger animated show though. The "Board": Cable, Jubilee, Sunspot AWOL. Sxarlet & Quick "off world". The others were marked "Presumed dead", includeing Wolverine. Wolveine, Storm, and Morph not shown scattered in time. Perhaps Storm and Wolverine are in the Days and Morph went to Age?! Curious to see were they go with them. (To Deadpool and the Wolverine!! Not expecting it, but who knows....) Thanks for being the bridge in my lore gap. Will be around when season two drops and perhaps for other shows as well.
I wouldn't call Charles being a hypocrite here. He gave Magneto every chance to reverse the damage to the planet on his own. Should he have just let everyone on Earth die? The moral act is to save lives if you have the ability and he did. Excellent episode though; the character beats and moments were spot on. They also didn't do Onslaught, which I think is a good thing. It wasn't/isn't that good of a story in my opinion. This was better than Onslaught.
I think wolverine, storm, and morph will be sent forward just maybe a year and will have to help deal with present day apocalypse while the other teams deal with him in other times
Yea, I had similar interpretation that the Xmen are spilt across, past, present and future to fight Apocalypse. My guess (don't if I'm wrong or right) that Wolverine, Morph and Storm are in the present day, hence the reason we didn't see them
My guesses....Bastion use that singularity, created by the missiles hitting the core, to power his ability to time travel....since he took Cable's techno-organic virus infected arm with the time traveling computer cube....so Bastion is probably not dead.
Another great episode…I can’t wait for season 2. I think season 2 is gonna be even better than season one, which is gonna be hard to top. I think Logan will probably get his own mini arc as well.
I think they are marinating the onslaught story...it took time in the comics for it to happen and by the end of it all we had everyone converging to take onslaught down like in the comic book storyline. I see season two having charles thinking that he senses something but is unsure and maybe unsure of his abilities, then slowly acting extremely strange/out of character. onslaught will be introduced at the end of season 2/after credit . I think that season 3 we will have the avengers, fantastic 4 and other non mutant characters be introduced and by the end of season 3 we will have the onslaught storyline and a version of what took place at the end of first onslaught story.
Im thinking next season is going to be(in no order). Introducing XForce or the start of it. Starting XFactor - they havr ti bri bgg Havok in now and "maybe" some star jammers but i think more Havok. Wolverine bone savage Renuilding thr Xmen with all the above i mentioned. Current Xmen will need to statt the 4 Horsemen/Apocolapse saga. I hope they hit Season 2 as well as Season 1. But we know how that goes. Lol Great reaction folks.
Comics to read: Rise of Apocalypse, Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, and Blood of Apocalypse. I’m really hoping we get Colossus, Dust, Magick, Shadowcat, Emma, and Havok next season. I need to see Havok and Cyclops meet.
Forge already leads X-Factor in this cartoon's continuity, I'd love to see them plus Iceman try & find the X-Men. Then we have Cable stuck in 1997 so he can form a more militant New Mutants/ X-Force. Perhaps AWOL Jubilee & Sunspot are with him, plus all the younger mutants like Shadowcat & Dust. I need Cannonball up in there to be Sunspot's bff, & they can go pick up Magik & Colossus in Russia after a tussle with Omega Red & the Winter Guard. Then we have Emma trying to rebuild the Hellfire Club or establish her Massachusetts Academy now that Xavier's School for the Gifted is closed. I mean they could go any direction.
Speaking of the world's perception of mutants, the radio Forge was listening to was talking about Graydon Creed climbing in the polls against Kelly. So I'm guessing the perception isn't great.
