@zbellman your comment is the only cringy thing here. That was an awfully harsh and dismissive comment. I hope you realize that not everyone is a bonafide comics expert and people come the The X-Men in different ways. As the old saying goes "if you don't have anything NICE to say...."
Fuck that Era, I really want Slym Dayspring Cyclops. That Scott went with Jean in a fucking hellscape to raise Nathan and didn't need to be discount Magneto to be cool...
@@saidi7975 Nope, like Scott said to Magneto, “I am nothing like you. I am winning”. Magneto/Xavier both conceded he’s the best leader. He’s pragmatist instead of an idealist. His philosophy is more in the middle of the two. You clearly dunno what you’re even talking about. 🥱
@@AzulApe ... heard this song and dance a thousand times and I am fairly able to recognize a dumbfuck when I see one. Pragmatist ? Didn't know it was synonymous with being unethical or a cunt but hey, I know which version of Scott I would rather read about... and it ain't the shithead who sends death squads after his own son and who still breathes cus the once powerful villains are reduced to jobbers. So, I say I have a fairly good idea what I am talking about . If you disagree, good for you and live your life...
I don't know what he did. I really don't care. But if these episodes that he wrote are any indication they need to be able to keep it up, or bring him back
I don't blame Cyclops because he did have a life with Madylyne Pryor. She was there for him through think and thin. He was married to her. He had a child with her. Granted, it was because he thought that she was Jean Grey, but still, he had a whole life with her. He can't just let that go. I know you can't fully blame Jean either, but still. Also, it is hypocritical how she can blame Cyclops for that, byt she kissed Logan.
How do men equate have full on sex with another woman where she has his baby to a kiss Jean has with Logan? Are you kidding me with this right now? My god no wonder I broke up with my ex boyfriend the same thing Smh
Jean is def being hypocritical, but also kinda right to be pissed... kinda... I mean Scott just lost a kid AND a baby momma but he can still contact the baby momma. Idk, weird situation man, not sure what the right thing is here
Even if you go back to the original series, Jean ALWAYS had a soft spot for Logan and in those moments we were allowed to see glimpses of how Scott grew to become jealous of it and sorts of takes it out on Logan in field deployment. At least, that's how I see it in the original X-Men: The Animated Series of 1992.
The Watcher's presence in the sky was foreshadowing. He witnesses big moments, and this, indeed, is a GIGANTIC moment. Also, it adds a layer of connected tissue to the MCU.
You are the only novice “surface” X-men fan I’ve watched so far. We can tell you don’t know very much about the source material which is fun to watch as a diehard. Well fun but frustrating like me yelling “that’s Nightcrawler!” Thank you for diving in though, I’m going to stick with you and see if this series brings you more our direction
Dude thank you! I very much appreciate this. It’s been a hell of a ride so far and I’m stoked for the rest of the season. I thought that my lack of X-Men knowledge was going to hurt my experience but it’s honestly done the opposite. I’m all in haha
That was the watcher. Whenever he shows up, that means something big is gonna happen. Remember his job is to observe Major Events and not intervene (though he’s done that like once or twice in the comics).
Did you ever watch the 90s Xmen TAS? Sebastian Shaw and Emma Frost are apart of the Hell Fire Club (The Inner Circle). They turned Jean in the Dark Phoenix
@JonesVibes Understood. I would recommend watching the animated series from the 90s since it's direct continuation. Most chatacters have been introduced and given good character development since they had 20 episodes per season. My only critique of 90s animation is that it is a victim of its animation style of the 90s, but still mature for what was Saturday morning cartoon.
In this episode we also see Rogue's "evil mother" in a flashback who is also probably the UN Representative Dr. Cooper (the way she reacts when Magneto says he offered Rogue to be co-leader)...and that would be Mystique who adopted Rogue!
Nah. Mystique is Trish Tilby or Apocalypse is literally impersonating as a human being to gain more information on the X-Men before Cable can get to them via the psychic rapport that is shared between Maddeline Pryor, Jean Grey, and Scott Summers.
I don't think so because why didn't the sentinel target her like it did all the other mutants she was running with if she was a mutant. I also don't think Emma Frost is dead, it was during this story in the comics that her secondary mutation kicked in and she mutated into her diamond form that is how she survived the attack
@@mrcleane6559 Because the Sentinel only targets mutants or humans with DNA that resembles that of the X-Gene. Besides, Moria McTaggeret also was killed in the destructive blast as well and she's not a mutant by blood; which, aligns with my idea that it's Apocalypse behind it since he hates both mutantkind and humankind. For episode references that back this idea, I'd suggest looking at X-Men: The Animated Series '92 Season 2; specifically, the episodes where Cable comes back to stop Bishop from destroying the virus which is needed to continue the mutant gene going forward for his (Cable's) time. Another episode which shows Apocalypse's sheer hatred for humanity as well as mutant kind and that is Season 4's "Beyond Good and Evil". I truly believe Apocalypse is once again trying to shift the timeline again, create more havoc, and has employed Mr. Sinister again (which, also correlates with their partnership show in the S4 episodic BGAE).
@@dionsherman3824 They also didn't notice he was learning to control his powers, it used to just happen if he was near you, your powers would shut off. But in all the scenes he was playing with the other children they were all still using their powers, and in one close up he was sweating, I think it was him struggling to maintain control and keep his field dampened
Jones' power is that he's apparently all categories or versions of hot guy ever invented, all at once (Jock, Silver Fox, Otter, Himbo, Golden Retriever, etc., etc., etc.)
Hi, first time watcher. Heads up, I was having a difficult time hearing the show. You sounded clear. But to hear the show, I had to turn up the volume. It made you sound like a booming giant. Not sure if this can be fixed in future videos?
When, Rogue, forgets she can’t “touch” and almost touched nightcrawlwer 😢. That scene was powerful!!! So well written. I too forgot in that moment and wanted her to help nightcrawlwer until I realized Rogue can’t TOUCH😢😭 this episode was intense! It started off upbeat and positive, but wooooooo the intense dark shift 😮💨. My fav show hands down right now.
@@ItachiUchiha-jv3rfGlob Herman was introduced in the Grant Morrison Run in the 2000s. But there are more newer Mutants, which were later introduced, like Pixie (the Girl with the 4 wings who is with Glob in every Scene). But not only the Mutants had their first appearance in the comics a couple years later than 97. The Story of the Episode about the destruction of Genosha and the killing of 16 million Mutants is also from the Morrison Run.
This is based on several stories. "E is for Extinction" from the 2000s and "Hellfire Gala Fall of X" from more recent, plus some elements of other stories. In E is for Extinction, a wild sentinel basically nukes Genosha, with only two survivors: Magneto and Emma Frost (it was how she developed her power to turn into diamond). The high council and gala are from Hellfire Gala: Fall of X, which has a similar massacre occur as well. The psychic affair Cyclops has was with Emma Frost in the comics in another story. That said, Cyclops is actually less of a dick here than in the comics, as Madelyne Pryor was basically discarded by him when he found out she was a clone even though it was her that he married and had a son with (she wasn't even pretending to be Jean, they just thought she looked like her).
captain spider-man aka cosmic spider-man was needed for this mutant massacre. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mrhS3Id1O3w.html this tri-sentinel was enhanced by the inspiration of final titan, on the 'attack on titan" series finale. this tri-sentinel was too enhanced for it to be constructed by humans... during this time period. either it was from an alt. future or someone like apocalypse created it to start a final war btwn mutants & humans. this would explain cable's appearance.
Magneto is 99.99% not dead. The Wild Sentinel simply couldnt sense the omega-level mutants threat anymore, but thats because the morlock Leech was touching him. Im sure when be appears, we will get a flasback where Magneto tells Leech to use his power to remove Magnetos mutant ability and its why he tells him dont be afraid of the risk.
I also wanna say..Kevin Feige hired the right writer....Beau DeMayo...he wrote (co-wrote) all these episodes as he watch the original Xmen TAS and read the comic books. In this particular episode he combined 3 comic book stories into one 26 minute animation episode..and it works, the comics are: E is for Extinction Murlock Massacre The Hell Fire Gala #12/13
Im a big fan, and I def love your reaction from someone that actually don’t know so much the comics. Everyone must starts from somewhere. Glad you like it 🫰
Cassandra Nova must be behind this! However, Cable said, " *he* is coming." So maybe, if it is not Cassandra Nova, then maybe it is Onslaught, because in the comics Onslaught was able to control Sentinals, and if it is Onslaught then maybe that could lead to Professor X coming back, like before he died he transferred his consciousness, or the bad parts of his consciousness to somewhere else and he just comes and raises hell. Tell me what you all think.
One more possibility is, that Bastion is behind the attack. Because he is also a Sentinel and Secondly the last 3 Episodes are titled "Tolerance Is Extinction". There's a story in the comics called "Operation Zero Tolerance." and the main villlian of this story is Bastion.
The reason for that is… because I pretty much haven’t haha. All I know is from the recaps I’ve watched. This is definitely making me want to dive into all of that though.
@@JonesVibes its gonna be a pain to watch that series now due to age but if you can get past that, its worth it. Especially for the context 9f this show that for some reason took the smart decision to go forward and not recap the past (hinted at by jean saying "ah yes, you were there" to logan which was actually directed to the audience). (Not ironically i think its a smart decision)
I know that Magnito is Omega Level and all, bit what if the Omega Level threat that the Sentinal was talking about was Leech, because Leech can depower absolutely everyone.
The other Omega level the Sentinel was targeting was Gambit. He has an inhibitor that dampens him down to Alpha. But somehow it was eliminated during this?
Man sorry but without you knowing the history of gambit Wolverine Magneto and all of this stuff especially when I saw your reaction to Wolverine and Jean your reaction is not that much and enjoyable.
@@JonesVibes i still watched the video, i liked the ep so much it made me cry and because i wanted to rrwatch it, i saw like 9 rraction videos to it. Maybe that numbed me by this video :P
HE DOESN'T KNOW NIGHTCRAWLER?! SERIOUSLY?! So, somebody doesn't read the comics, at all? Well, that's sad. I mean, they've covered Krakoa era mutantkind on RU-vid. You'd know most of character names. Ijs
@@mrcleane6559 and dont you read comments or do you just react to partial shyt? And also I said THEY COVER THE KRAKOAN ERA ON RU-vid. So he doesn't view videos on the subject matter? He doesn't do research just to be knowledgeable which should always happen before uploading? Not to mention he fukking doesn't know Nightcrawler's name but he's seen him before? A core member of the X-Men for as long as I've read the X-Men, 45 years. Couldn't be bothered to look it up for the video?! You personally have me fukked up just replying with nothing of note to add, number one. He liked my comment and probably will keep it in mind and grow his channel because there are DIEHARD X-MEN FANS LIKE ME(BUT A LOT MEANER) that WILL SUPPORT him or BURY THAT A$$ so do your research. ASK GOOGLE AND KNOW YOUR CRAFT BETTER. READ A COMIC. They're FUN and they have pictures. But let's wrap it up with your disrespectful a$$, little boy. I see you don't actually read comments. It's all new to you, right? Now, I'm being nice. But don't push me. I'm an Elder not a child on here. I said what I said.
@@JonesVibes it's cool. And I liked your video and commented to help your engagement. It's always good to read up on the subject matter unless it's a live reactionary video. I'm just the tip of that online marvel fandom that will subscribe, support, and we're gonna comment the Truth. You responded WELL and I'm old so I'm not gonna penalize you for some random child coming all on my thread with an attitude. He has said that about 10 times now to different people, that he is new to all of this, and that he's learning, give the guy a break...geez. It literally gives the rest of us geeks a chance to help clue him in and help bring him up to speed 😅😅
The real question I have, is, How does she know his name is Cable? It's her first time seeing him as an adult from the future.....presumably. ..m I'm sure they will explain it. Dope episode though.
She has Jean’s memories, and Jean has interacted with him in the previous series. Also, In the Beyond Good and Evil story arc, Jean was the first psychic who was kidnapped. Sinister had access to both her and time travel. It could be that Maddy made her first appearance then as the new Jean and none of us knew it.
Lol. Naw. That's not how this works. Hahaha 😁 She also didnt use her powers really through out this episode, which I thought was odd too, but I didnt care about that so much. 😁
This is a continuation of X-men TAS. she knows cable. Theyve met each other. Cable could not mention his history so as not for alter their future. But this is the first time she’s seen him since she gave birth and just put it together.
Right off the bat, Magneto is like "Gambit, shut up, my di*k* is way bigger than yours". But nothing good ever happens in Kenosha... it's 10 mins from me, I would know. And $10 apples?! Even Jessica Walter would wtf. Its like whoever shows the most power ends up being killed at the end. Magento knocking down Charles and killing so many mutants in the process was super symbolic. This is the third time that Erik has had to go through a genocide and it's fucked they did it. The train whip reaction was more than justified. "Sugar, I can't feel you." broke me. This entire ep was fucked. No way they keep it as cartoon cannon.
