While I think Cable's time-traveling shenanigans will fix everything, I kinda hope he doesn't. Because after giving this some thought, this could be awesome if they left the deaths unchanged, because it means we may get Revolutionary Cyclops. We saw in the episode how pissed he was BEFORE the massacre happened, this will definitely push him over the edge, maybe make him start his X-Force team like in the comics. Also, notice how Emma wasn't in the 'dead mutants' pile despite being next to Sebastian Shaw earlier, who is in that pile. If they follow the comics, it was this event with Genosha and the giant Sentinel that awakened her secondary mutation/power, her Diamond form, which saved her life. I think that might happen here, afterwards she joins the X-Men and maybe Scott's new lover, like again, maintaining comic canon.

If they are going with a Multiverse direction with X-Men 97, they could have tie ins with other X-Men series that were released since. Like the series Wolverine and the X-Men did leave off on a cliff hanger

Yes, we saw a Watcher, but, it does not have to be Uatu. There are many Watchers 30 of them are listed on the Marvel Fandom database.

As much as i want this X-Men in live action i kinda just want it to be its own thing. I think marvel should do more else world stories based on comic book stories. Everything doesn't always have to be connected.

The rumor was during this new run of ol x men cartoon. Idk who said this. Or where i heard it. But rumor was that some how this wouod connect to mcu. Idk how but i guess by the looks of this. Back in February 2024, X-Men '97 creator Beau DeMayo stated the series is not canon to the MCU (via X). However, the Watcher's appearance in X-Men '97 episode 5 hints at more concrete connections being established, which could bring this version of the X-Men into the mainline MCU, perhaps in a multiversal crossover project such as Deadpool & Wolverine or Avengers: Secret Wars. The fact that the Watcher appeared in the lead-up to sheer catastrophe in X-Men '97 episode 5 teases the series' existence in the MCU's multiverse, and could hint at even more cameos popping up in future episodes.

A tragedy occurred in the latest episode and people wanna bring up MCU multiverse connections? X-Men 97 and all the other animated Marvel shows were a thing way before the MCU showed up and replaced them. The MCU's multiverse doesn't even make any sense, so it's best to just let the marvel animation shows tell their own stories.

What if the X-Men 97 characters will be the live action X-Men in the next phase? There’s at least one more season coming before Secret Wars, they could show up there as the “new” cast in the rebooted universe after Battleworld.

Incorrect. There is a different Uatu in this universe. He is not the same one we see in What If.. This one we had already previously seen in the Phoenix arc. As I keep telling you all there are multiple multiverses. The Uatu of the MCU watches over the 616 brances and this one from X-Men watches at the very least this universe. X-Men 97 even had their own version of Immortis who watches over a different junction at the end of time.

"multiple multiverses" A Multiverse, infinite parallel universes. Multiple Watchers designated to various networks of the Multiverse. People don't quite get the scale of the Multiverse. What Loki is currently doing is like holding a handful of sand in the Saharan Desert. He's holding a band of probable parallel universes that are unwinding. A band of parallel universes interwoven by the Loom, pulled from the Multiverse.

Honestly, they should have used the watcher from the very beginning of phase 4 as narrator to create a consistent through line connecting all the projects. Most of the mov is es are still bad that they put out but the universe wouldn't have felt so messy and disconnected. Whatever, Gunn's going to set the record straight with Superman and restores DCU to it's rightful place✌🏻

I'm expecting The Avengers crossing over with X-Men 97 and I also want to see the fantastic Four crossing over and I want to see Miss Marvel in X-Men 97 but the original Miss Marvel not Kamala Khan And I also want to see Spider-Man in X-Men 97 and I want to see the X-Men 97 crossover with the fantastic Four and the Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk I think they should add secret war in the X-Men animated series X-Men 97

No he's not. The Uatu in What If watches the timelines branching out from the 616. The Uatu in X-Men we saw before in a previous episode. He's clearly a different Watcher and most of the time Uatu can only see events in a single universe. Point being, he's a variant.
