Also, if you played this in the 90's as a japanese that didn't know anything about X-men, I would imagine you'd think that the sentinels were "the evil mutants" led by Magneto, since the intro doesn't really explain anything, and their classic design looks very "organic".

@@thosemerc3113 LOL! Right. Because the narrator kind of goofed. And Magneto didn't have his usual gang with him. Plus, the Sentinels are robots! LOL! Though, I'm surprised Toad wasn't in this game. Plus, Magneto doesn't really want to destroy the world, so much as he wants to make it a better place for mutants, since he views humans as vermin. In most media, Magneto is more of a tragic misunderstood villain who believes in his cause. But this game makes him seem like a bloodthirsty psychopath.

The only point of reference the developers had for this game was the cartoon that came out in the 1980s for one episode. All that, and the game still came out amazingly well. That's ingenuity on a big level.

@@MentalLiberation Quite true. Still, its nice that they took some creative liberties with the source material. And I think its a clever idea to have the Sentinels as normal sized regular enemies in the game. Cuz you'd think they'd come in all different sizes as opposed to only being giant like in most media.

CAM8689 should of been on the neo geo console its perfect for it one of the powerful consoles of the 90s.

Sigit Priyono I believe in the 6 player version and Japanese version there are pink and white Sentinels that drop energy capsules. In the 2 player and 4 player versions of the game, they’re gone.

+Super Rabbit I'll have to look into it again, but I thought I couldn't actually get the game running in netplay. I'm also not sure if I could even get the players for that one because of how long it is.

+Super Rabbit Well, I'll get back to you after I see what my options are for MAME and netplay. I could very likely do at least a 2p video of the whole game, but I'm not so sure about more players than that. As I mentioned, length is an issue.

+Super Rabbit I found out that the game only runs at around 40-50% speed on my computer, and this is even on the newest version of MAME. While my computer might not be the fastest, the main problem here is that the way MAME emulates 3D games tends to not be the most efficient for running them at a reasonable speed. If you wanted me to play one of the console ports, I could possibly do that, although I'm still not sure if I could do it with more than 2 players.

I stumbled across something that I really should have learned a long time ago. If you press the O key, a master volume slider pops up. This is something I had known about for a long time, but what I didn't know is you can press up and down to cycle through other sliders, including the sound channels and overclock. I don't normally mess around with the sound settings too much, but I'm assuming that what you're looking for is in these sliders, since they're the same as what I found on a more recent MAME version.

arronmunroe do you also think there’s a way to get rid of the “move the joystick left to right to continue and this game dosent work properly” screen? It’s annoying for it to pop up every time I want to play sunset riders of tmnt in time. Thanks

Unfortunately, I don't think you can do that. You can skip the regular game info screen by checking the box that says "skip game info", but this doesn't skip the screen that refers to known problems with a game. There might be builds out there which let you skip that screen too, but then you would be back to a build that doesn't allow overclocking to be saved. I can't say with 100% certainty that there isn't a custom version of MAME somewhere that has both of those features, but if there is one, I haven't heard of it.
