Hot take: Making Colossus Deadpool’s point of contact with the X- Men instead of say, Wolverine is genius. Where Logan would just kill Wade, cut off his head, stuff his head in a sack, stuff that sack in a box, stuff that box into a hole, and fill that hole with concrete, Colossus is actually willing to help Deadpool, even if Wade doesn’t want help.

Attention to details is always nice. The timeline is subtly suggesting the 90s without any affirmations. It has to pretend to be before most of the MCU but not to leave the 2000s, no easy task to do so. But Cyclops is younger, Quick Silver is wearing a Nirvana shirt.

Great detail shown how you can see the expressions on Colossus's face even though he's all metal or whatever it is he's made of. Older movies wouldn't have taken the time to do that
