Kevin Durand, my favorite actor.

It’s weird because, while I’m certainly not a fan of this film, I really like this take on the Blob. Yes, he’s mainly used for comedy, but I found him to be really tragic. The idea that he’s a traumatized war vet whose coping mechanism is to eat until he turns into this is…really sad, honestly. I feel bad for the poor man.

They never turned him into a slob. They made a subtle note of giving him an over-active hunger which caused him to get enormously fat. He was never a "muscular guy turned fat slob" because he maintained all of his muscle, maybe even more, while putting on a crapload of fat.

Makes no sense that the bub line is iconic, but apparently the Martha line in BvS was waaaaayy too much. ITS EVEN DUMBER IN THIS CONTEXT. A miscommunication is poor story telling. A character using a key word to trigger another’s characters memories is way better storytelling
