@@SlugSage I theorize that the Sentinel Overlord was referring to the manifestation of will, that it cannot be destroyed, because fear, aggression and resolution will always reside within every sentient form.
Him saying this after only a minute ago he was having an emotional moment with his fiance about not leaving anyone behind this time shows an amazing depth to his character, Dealing with the trauma of loss, the responsibility of leadership, but his rehtoric with his teammates is still in tact.
Johnny Cage: You wouldn't hit a man with Sunglasses now would ya. Cyclops: Don't push me around cause I'm not afraid to shove back. Johnny Cage: Do you think your Heat Vision can stand against my Shadow Kick. Cyclops: Than come try and force it out of me seriously Mister Hollywood.
@@metal87power Just to note, Charles was not 'crippled by injury'. The use of his mutant power weaken his lower body, which forced him into a wheelchair. If he could remove his mutant power, he would walk just fine.
@@crsrdash-840b5 He should use one of those anti mutant bracelets just so he could walk whenever. Also rogue could've slept with gambit if she wore one.
Agreed! It's so accurate to the comics and the art style was gorgeous. There was something about the characters that really made you feel for them as well - everything was perfect. The only other series that is as good is the Batman TAS. But both were done in the same era
The Friendship between Magneto and Xavier always has been epic, Mags just wanted an end to the persecution of his people knowing the hate would never end
WOLVERINE: The next time I try to save your life, have sense enough to let me do it! GAMBIT: What makes you think there gonna be another time? CYCLOPS: Wolverine! You coming, or is this your day off?
Xavier: "Team, before we leave I need you to load the Blackbird to the brim with TNT and gasoline ... uhh just in case." Still love this cartoon today.
He can do loads with his optic blasts but rarely unleashes his full power blast. He was probably using as close to full power here to get everyone to safety
@@walker1984 even that wouldn't be a full power blast, a full power blast from Cyclops while it will exhaust him (except in the occasion where it got extra amped from being Dark Phoenix) it's the equivalent of several nuclear bombs going off.
I agree. There have been sentinels in several movies, but ehhhh, I didn't care for the ones from the 60s. The ones from Days of Future Past were awesome, but I didn't like the whole "shapeshifting" Mystique aspect of them (but I did like that they seemed to be patterned after Nimrod). I think the closest we came was a Danger Room scene where the head of one flies off.
At this point of the series, they got pretty damn good at recycling tin cans. Compare this to season 1 episode 1 - night of the sentinels. There was only 1 the whole episode.so either mass production used cheaper materials or they just turned into professional can openers.
Omar Herrera remember those sentinels were different..they had Mystique power or genes to take the form and imitate the power..which made them very powerful
Master Mould is the only guy in this whole series that understood the crux of the fighting between humans and mutants. And they rammed a damn ship into him. I thought the plan wasn't bad. Actually give a politician a functioning brain.
1:55 I'm still not sure how Bolivar Trask escaped both the propane tank he exploded with the laser and an exploding mountain. He didn't flee with the X-Men in either case.
I love how magneto and professor x work together to destroy master mold. What show if both work together all the xmen apocalyptic future will be fixen.
I still have all the episodes of x-men right here in front of me. and they were better this way i dont know why disney took over. i cant even watch the things they put out because its so messed up now. the best way to go is ol' skool.
Long before Disney acquired Marvel, individual characters were licensed out to different studios. X-Men has been owned by 20th Century Fox since the 90's. Disney has nothing to do with any of the shitty X-Men movies made. Which explains why Apocalypse looks like Ivan Ooze in the upcoming movie.
this was one of the best episodes of the xmen! and agreed.. the cartoon series was 100X better than the movies. In fact, I never watched the movies of xmen because I knew they would not be that good!
He had that tone with wolverine due to wolverine being mad that he abandoned morph to die in the first season. He stayed in the mine to find gambit and wolverine to try to save them. He was in full leadership mode.
It’s only on this rewatch of this scene that I thought to wonder why Xavier loaded the Blackbird with explosives and and began flying it towards where Master Mold would pop up? Did Magneto warn Charles that Master Mold would survive the the explosion that blew up the place he was sitting?
Cyclops is regularly underestimated. When Cyclops gets tired of Logan's shit and they finally duke it out, Scott usually beats Logan. Also in the early episodes, most of the xmen members have trouble taking out one Sentinel solo while Cyclops casually takes out 4 or 5 before he gets overwhelmed.
His blasts are insanely powerful. That's why it's one of the few things capable of harming Mister Sinister in this series. He tanks everything else, but those optic blasts actually blew him away into a cloud of dust.
@@edntz Sumaritan did the next best thing. Calculate human actions and deem them either enemy or doing it’s will. It still needed humans for other tasks. Did you watch the Terminator show? One of them taught the machine ethics from the Ten Commandments. Based on these, that machine would of wiped out all humans due to human sinful nature haha
@@solidsnakemgs2180 I did watch the original terminator movies. It needed humans in the beginning to build the factories and what not, but after that it aimed to completely wipe out humanity.
I know they are robots but I like the voice and voice acting of Master Mold and the Sentinels but my favorite voice acting but he isn't in this clip is Apocalypse.
You know, watching this and seeing what humanity has done with the sentinels, its easy to see why machines feel victimized by the time Hickman's Inferno ended
