Xmen is my favorite team. Hollywood couldn’t replicate what the animated series did. Maybe marvel can make it work now. Brian Singer failed in my opinion.
@@Shogun8888 i guess so based on what we knew the comics stood for originally But i'll always have a sweet spot for XMEN AND XMEN 2 with DAYS OF FUTURE PAST being the cherry on top for me!
The Avengers were better than the comics in my opinion. Get the right directors (Russo Brothers) and cast, they can definitely make a great Xmen movie.... and im hoping they do.
"The brave are always the first to die" Even as a kid I realized that the XMEN series dealt with grown up issues. They were always ready to put their lives on the line for a just cause. Miss these kinds of great animated series.
I love Magneto's righteous bad guy portrayal. It sets him apart from Sinister, Apocalypse, and Juggernaut. What other villain would you leave in the mansion by themselves?
If made today- Wolverine: I'll handle the sentinels, you guys get Kelly. Cyclops: Don't be a fool Logan, their's thousands of them. Wolverine: I know. They should have sent more.
This was the ultimate episode for me.. From Professor deferring to Cyclops, to Jubilee's speech, the weight of the moment and the daunting task... just greatness
I like how Cyclops said he doesn't know how long Rogue and Storm can hold them off for. No offense but in Jubilations defense she's one brave kid for showing up and assisting without fear that in itself deserves a thumbs up. God I remmeber these shows. Amazing.
Jubilee: "Hey, no fair sneaking up behind me!" Rogue: "You better be more careful, gal." *immediately gets hit from behind by a train* This is comedic gold.
Rogue Rabbit yeah, I’m with ya! She’s my favorite character too but it’s hilarious when she told Jubilee that she’d best be careful, yet she should too and that is comedic gold!
and Storm did the same thing she did in the movie, except she didn't use the jet for an explosion. 2:39 lol It even looks like she dies at the end of this clip
Same with Wolverine, he’s the Reason Logan is my favorite cartoon/comic character of all time. In any video game I always pick him and hear this voice actor portraying Logan. Classic
Storm and Rogue are the most useful X-Men. They got all the necessary jobs done. Gambit, Cyclops & Beast are pretty useful too. Wolverine is so overrated. Jean Grey is the most useless. Jubilee is quite useful too at time
Storm kept that fucking team together you can say what ever about phoenix but my team would be storm cable cable from 5 minutes before cable again old longan and guts from berserk. You can criticise my team but we both know your just jealous.
@@xaagripha7326 No since you're not following Xmen logic. Why not Storm,Collosus,Rogue and Bishop since the last one can absorb energy and reflect it 10x stronger.
Lol. She was ALWAYS the mvp. Look how she single handedly mop the floor with the Inner Circle club. Haha. She's the best and most useful member of the team!
I wish Brian Singer would watch this. THIS is Storm and Rogue. They were left to fight the 1000 sentinels outside. The women of the Xmen have carried the team for YEARS!
+I Kuzuri sit down. It is a FACT that the female characters in the X-Men are far more powerful and skilled than the male members. That is still applicable even to this day with an exception of a few male characters.
Would have given them a easy excuse to give her the comic version's powers, eh they went with cutting her out of the whole film. The Rogue cut was cute though...
I would too except they need to fix Jean Grey because she's an Omega Level mutant even without the Phoenix Force no more moaning falling and needing aid of one of the guys or Storm and Rogue
@@wallacesousuke1433 we know your gay its ok just not next to us who like the real xmen. You can go sit next to Brian Singer as long as your don't mind him molesting kids.
It makes me so happy knowing this many of us are still remembering how great this show was to grow up with, before all of the movie success. Collecting the '94/'95 cards, everything
Speaking of which, I just started watching this show with my own mom to prepare for the revival. This is actually my second viewing. First time watching the show for me was in 2019
-"I'm not a kid any more!" Immediately starts crying. -Magneto rather comically standing outside the Manor, just shouting, "you're all fools!" -Sentinels are easily duped, allowing the rest of the X-men gang to tiptoe past them, almost Scooby-Doo style. -"I got one!" Good for you, Not-a-kid! Now only thousands more to go! -Sentinel goes full derp and gets chin-checked. -"You better be more careful, gal." Immediately gets crushed. Ahhh... I miss this show~
polo bubble vest wait'll u getta load of DOFP man that i watchin NOW and its no joke how OP they are! they killed the x-men THE INVINCIBLE X-MEN WITH EASE not breaking a sweat! they scary AF bruh!
I watched all the late X men cartoons. And the movies came one after another. But I still love this X-men cartoon serious. This is the best and original one. They had all. Especially nice story line. (Scripts). Good characters Cable, Bishop, Sentinels, Juggernaut,Omega, Colossus, Cassandra, phoenix saga of course Apocalypse(Not the lame duck in the movie who used to give me goose bumps when I sees him). Love ; Odd couple Gambit and Rogue(All movies missed out this), and love bond with Cyclops and Jean.(They turned this to a soap opera in movies) I love Magneto and his attitude. The great leader cyclops. And seductive Gambit. Strong but vulnerable Rogue. The sensitive Jean Gray. Looking at this bring back my memories. My tv had nor signals(those days no cable tv). So I had to ride mu bike to my friends house and we two gave our best to adjust the antenna to get a better coverage. But well worth it. Now X men got too commercialized and all of them turned out to be a another Wolverine movie(One way or another. Wolverine here , Wolverine there, Wolverine and ....etc). They totally ignored Cyclops. :(. The only good thing about the movie is total kick as Quick Silver.
Rogue looks at Gambit like a wife to husband & immediately complies. Zero speech , 100% communication. My wife and I do this. It's awesome. "Get your ass over here" look.
MArtin Luther King, MalcolmX, JFK, James Dean; yup the brave are always the first to die indeed! that's real life right there comin from a cartoon=GENIUS!
Fix has a point. Until the Phoenix saga, Jean was always fainting when she used her powers and at times was just there to be a damsel in distress for Cyclops and Wolverine. Don't get me wrong she's great in the comics but in the context of this cartoon Jubilee was more useful than pre-Phoenix saga Jean.
Storm: Gambit?? Gambit: shakes head Storm: (thinking to herself) That's how u feel? I thought we were in this together bro Good thing he went or she would've been very disappointed in him (as well as the entire team of course). Being that she knows him better than everyone and he saved her life once upon time
This was the first episode of this show that I saw. I was ten years old and I was honestly awe struck. I didnt know who the X Men were yet but I did know Marvel to a certain extent and loved the Incredible Hulk and Spider Man but for whatever reason never heard of XMEN and this episode was my introduction to them. After they destroyed about the five thousandth Sentinel and then Professor X flys his fuckin plane into Master Molds face and kills him I was like "Holy Shit, this show is awesome."
0:23 Aww isn't that so sweet. The little woman following her man into battle. SO 1990's. You wouldn't dare write and create this shot to be watched by anybody today. XD
What I love about this? Despite being an army of sentinels, they are consistently durable as they were in the first episode. Normally tv shows make multitudes into much weaker versions of themselves... not these.
+Kevin Vo She had absorbed Ms. (Captain) Marvel's powers during her youth when she was Mystique's daughter. There' s a whole character arc devoted to just that and it's amazingly gripping and psychological and makes Rogue question who she really is (since it's also implied that the reason she became a hero is BECAUSE Carol Danvers is a heroic person). It's a very good story about self and choice and what makes a person a person. That's one thing that ALWAYS bugged me about the movies: they chickified Rogue and basically gave her Jubilee's role story-wise. The reason behind this is because Singer wanted Natalie Portman as Jubilee to get star-power but she turned it down (plus, Jubilee is CHINESE American, considering the appeal of Xmen is variety that would not have been a good move), so he instead made the movie version of Rogue into an amalgamation of Jubilee with Rogue's powers and some of her common sense. That's always been something that bothered me about the movies since Rogue is one of my favorites. I didn't mind that she didn't have Captain Marvel's powers because of rights (Xmen Evolution had Rogue without them either and she still stayed Rogue and an interesting character besides), what I did mind was the way they dealt with her character.
Sure are alot of negative comments from people who obviously can write bettef stories and create better animation (sarcasm). For it's day and compared to other series of this genre, Xmen tas was awesome. All you naysayers need to get a life!!!
or maybe because he knows it's the right thing to do being an X-men. More people would've been disappointed in him than just rogue had he stayed behind. Like storm for example
Me too dude... As kid born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s it will always be *THE GREATEST DECADE* far as am concerned! The 2000s turned out to be such a massive disappointment!
Umm, I read the comics and I like Jubilee, but I wouldn’t say she’s “way stronger.” Jubilee even when she had her mutant powers, was not that powerful. I don’t remember ever seeing her take out a lot of sentinels.
"PREPARE TO DESTROY THEM." "DUDE, YOU DON'T NEED TO REMIND US. THAT IS LITERALLY WHAT WE'RE BUILT TO DO." "YOU KNOW, TONY, I'M GETTING TIRED OF...WHAT IS THAT OBJECT?"
The brave are always the first to die but is what they give there's live for to give us and the next generation new hope and respect those who sacrifice there very lives for past present and future generations of this very planet .
Great show. But I just laughed pretty hard at the second sentinel Jubilee took out. The cartoonish way it was hunched over and chasing her was more like something from Tom and Jerry. I wonder if that was intentional? Throwing in something silly to help defuse some of the stress of this bettle for kids.
