Have you ever played fatal fury, it's a game by snk, a fighting game, you should check it out or a game called the art of fighting and king of fighters, you probably never heard of any of these games but they are fun
i mean its not like voice acting jobs were booming. the people got a call telling them they were gonna get paid, so they showed up. thats just how it is.
+ChrisJWattsTV thanks bro, it was a blessing. I met lots of tournament level players and just genuinely good people. Some of the guys, including the owner of the arcade have sadly passed away, or have gotten in trouble with the law. One guy I met is a director for WB entertainment and one guy works at Capcom. Arcade is closed down and is now a Walmart... Everytime I go to that Walmart I feel like crying. I try explaining to my wife about it and she understands...but could never imagine the connection between gamers at the arcades in the 90's
Aww Man. So Sorry To Hear That Bro. Seemed Like It Was Nothing But Good Times Back Then. Crazy How Life Is Sometimes. That's Why It's Always Good To Reflect Back On The Good Ol' Days Every Now And Then, Ya Know?
Yes! It's like the perfect visual representation of the ultimate cross over. The mere suggestion of it made us wet our pants. Or maybe that was just me.
The DAY I saw Rogue as a playable character in this game in the movie theater I almost fainted. I COULDN'T BELIEVE it, and I don't even know why I couldn't. She was designed very, very well. It's still impressive to this day honestly for me.
oh man the battles that would go on at the local arcade downtown, guys lined up to play all day,,,, this instantly takes me back to better easier days, no cell phones,,, had to meet your friends downtown or use a payphone to make a call , vhs movie rentals also attached to the arcade, juke box playing nothing but 90s hits,, ride my bmx or skateboard to the arcade after asking my dad for some quarters for games and 5 cent candies,,, , slushies only $1, O'Ryans sour cream and bacon chips, fooseball games goin on , dudes chillin inside the arcade smoking cigarettes lol,,,,,,, man the memories , thanks for upload
One of my all-time favorite games, and the only game I could beat at the arcade. I played with Ryu and Ken, and Ken's Shoryu-reppa was my favorite move. This brings back some good memories.
@@eliasnicolasmiranda4940 At this point I don't think disney cares anymore lol. They've made arcade machines with all the games before MVC2 on them recently.
Fuck that, the arcade version and the Japan Sega Saturn version was the best, the ps1 was crap. The Japan Sega Saturn was close enough to the original arcade. Thanks to a modding switch for the U.S. Sega Saturn version I can say I lucky to owned... SMH ps1's version was good bleh
best not to... look at what they did with marvel vs capcom 2? Intro movie was completely left out... you couldn't even press start or A to start the fight faster. you are forced to see a loading screen which wasn't there on Dreamcast. Sure it needed to load from battle to battle, but by just pressing A or start you could make it start faster. it was all gone in the remaster. The only thing that's good about it it's 16:9 screen. But all characters are already unlocked left a bad taste in my mouth. Such horrid remaster/port. Not planning to touch it ever again
My middle school friend had rich parents and got to play the Japanese Saturn version at his place. The weekends and holidays we spent playing this, I miss those days.
Why in the blue hell, did PS2 not release an anthology like they did their other games? A lot of my family members missed out on the Marvel vs Street Fighter games....
Anyone remeber the shockwave version that had a chat room and ladder but half the characters? It turned into Streetfighteronline instead becaue of copy right issues. I remembered playing that game for years, it had a great community with clans, forums etc. my in game name was dark-guardian, one of that beat chunli users in that game at the time.
I used to trip to Bangkok Thailand for playing this arcade game Xmen vs SF at the merry king mall when i was so young. Always bothered my dad & wasted his damn coins lol
when i had an nes i made the mistake of renting uncanny x men,but when i saw this in the arcade and played it? i fell in love with it and wanted to play it all day
During this, they also should have made another game called "Capcom Versus", for the CPS-2, with characters like: Strider Hiryu Captain Commando Megaman Black Tiger Knight Arthur (Ghosts N' Goblins) Mike Haggar (Final Fight) Ken Masters (Street Fighter) Blanka (Street Fighter II) Rose (Street Fighter Zero) Ton Ton (Son Son) Donovan Baine (Night Warriors) Michelle Heart (Legendary Wings) Joseph Gibson (Mercs) Brave One (Magic Sword) Soldier #2 (Forgotten Worlds) Lou (Midnight Wanderers) Ryu (Avengers) Casber Rublan (Varth) Onslaught Lieutenant Henry (Side Arms)
I always loved when someone switched characters there was a little moment where they were vulnerable. It was the perfect time to unleash a super or an air combo and punish them for switching out.
A capcom vs compilation needs to come out with the street fighter 30th anniversary collection coming out in may, it only makes sense to add this along with msh vs sf, mvc1, mvc2, plus a bonus xmen children of the atom to complete the collection.
***** Just a thought. I used to own these marvel vs. games and learned the teams arcade mode puts you against. Those teams usaully are: Cyclops/Ryu Cammy/Wolverine Chun-li/Rouge Storm/Charlie Sabretooth/Dhalsim Juggernaut/Zangief Gambit/Ken Magneto/Bison
This and MSH v SF were great. I miss the exciting twists of these games. Whatever happened to mini-games and sub-bosses in fighting games? Heck here you HAVE to fight your partner at the end! That's epic. I miss that.
not by me. Always cammy or chunli and sometimes Ryu/Cyclopse or Ken... sometimes other fighters too but I couldn't careless about wolverine. See? There are other people out there who doesn't want to select Wolverine :P
Why cant stupid fucking Marvel/capcom work out a way to make a "MVC Legacy collection" from MSH to MVC2, and make them HD /enhanced 60fps with awesome filters?? MK arcade "Kollection " was amazing on the 360, i hope they do the same for these amazing fighting games, i honestly prefer sprites over 3d animations.
I loved playing this game when I was younger and looking back at it now is nostalgic. However, looking at this video I am wondering two things, firstly where are the air combo's? secondly what level is this on because it seems rather easy for the method of play style used...
I love the sprite based artstyle and to me this will always be how I want my 2d fighters to look. Guilty Gear Xrd looks pretty good as well but I will always prefer the sprite based.
@@montelhelem8707 Basically an Aracde1up is just a scaled down arcade machine similar so you play it like you would with a normal size machine. To set it up, there's step by step videos on how to set them up on RU-vid.
The PlayStation version was HORRIBLE just TERRIBLE but THE SEGA SATURN WAS FREAKIN PERFECT i remember that my brother n i bought this game not knowing ww had to also buy the import converter lol so we had this game just sitting in our room for 2 long long days felt like weeks while we washed, cars and mowed lawns to gather the cash to buy the converter..good memories R.I.P BRO YOU'LL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART
***** Like I said. Your opinion, not mine. The PS1 version was never a crap port & that's a fact. And I know that the Saturn version was arcade perfect.
Spent many days playing this game with my boys when we were teens. This game was amazing visually, and nothing like we’d seen playing SF Alpha. We used to rock Rival Schools too around this time, using the the multi-port for the PlayStation. Man they just don’t do it like that anymore..
My favorite part about this game was killing someone from the corner of the screen with a simple light or medium punch and kick and they would just bound all the way to the other side of the screen. Hilarious stuff.
