Hey everyone, welcome back to another video! Today we're wrapping up part two of my review of the X-RayPad x WALLHACK Obsidian Pro Dot Skates! Now these were a very weird skate to test, at first I had really high hopes for these "pro" skates but over time these skates had some serious inconsistency issues and it became clear that these Obsidian Pro skates were overly-optimized to a fault, making these skates very disappointing. Much like when I talked about the Jade & Obsidian donut skates I'm hoping we'll see a V2 of the Obsidian Pros that can hopefully fix some of the issues with these skates. Haven't gotten my hands on them sadly, since they're a UK company they're VERY expensive to get here in Canada so I've been stuck waiting sadly. I'll cover them at some point I just don't know when.

Does the obsidian pro make a glass pad more like a cloth pad with PTFE on? Or worse, in terms of having more friction and so stopping power?

The best way I can describe the skates is that they feel sticky on both fabric & glass pads. Very high static friction and inconsistent glides on all the pads I tested. Stopping power is insanely high too. I found that these skates took away all the positives of a glass pad while also making them feel worse than a fabric pad. Hope that clarifies.

@@mel0nFPS thanks a lot! Just thought the same thing. It is a pity we don’t have other good skates made specifically for the glass pads. But pulsar is already working on it, hopefully, we will see something soon.

As someone who plays tacfps and just got an Artisan Zero xsoft, Tiger Ice V2 feel super uncontrollable (they feel massively faster than the stock pulsar x2h skates). I was recommended trying the Obsidians instead… but it seems maybe that they are too controlled? Is there anything in between the two?

Hey! Oh yeah, ICE V2's will be way too fast on the Zero. Plus the stickiness of the X-RayPad Obsidian Pros wouldn't play nicely with the surface of the Zero either. My go-to's are the X-RayPad Donut versions of the Jade/Obsidian dots, they're larger in terms of surface area but still maintain the uniqueness of each skate type! They're also much better on soft & x-soft pads as their larger surface area prevents mice from bottoming out if you press into the pad. I'd actually recommend getting the Jade / Obsidian Donut skates instead! They're larger surface area so they work on softer pads (dots don't) & they have better performance in my opinion! Based off what you're looking for the Obsidian Donuts will likely be the best for you but the Jades are also viable on some pads. @@mel0nFPS thank you very much for the detailed comment, will absolutely check that video (; edit: saw the video, wil probably get the obsidian donut then! also i wanted to ask you, if you know some mousepad that are slower than the gsr and not effected from humidity, but still being very smooth. i know the ESPTIGER Titan Revolution and the lgg jupiter should be similar or slower, do you have any recommendations?

i found the other skates I've tested(including red obsidians) except for obsidian pros and regular corepads(shocking) got really scratchy after they developed a flat spot(worn in). the speed wasn't really affected, but the feel was smoother on pros and corepads.

@@ashy3340 had the same experience with tiger ice v2s but the full skate design. as soon as they get a flattened out they are scratchy AF.

@desufps I have! It felt OK but again too highly controlled for it to be worth it, normal obsidians felt best on the V2 in my experience.
