In this deck tech we discuss strategy and card choices for an X spells deck lead by Magus Lucea Kane. Decklist: www.moxfield.com/decks/K56m9m... Discord Group: / discord
I appreciate your style...I have adapt your decks to my play group...and they still are salty that I win a lot...they are happy to not see a Thassa Oracle win con. I build to win but not filter to win con. again, I like thus concept and look forward to putting a version of this together.
It always feels great winning with a deck that runs no fast mana and/or tutors when your opponents do 🙂 Have fun continuing to be the archenemy lol and let us know how the deck goes 👌
So you are telling me that if you tap lucea for 2, then untap it with something and tap it again for another 2, if I then cast a creature spell with those 4 mana from lucea, it creates TWO copies and not one??? Thats AMAZING DUDE, ive been playing this deck since it came out not knowing that interaction!
My friends have asked me "so what does your deck *actually* do? Whats its thing?" I didnt quite know what to reply with.. big x creatures? Bit of this bit of that? Would you agree?
Nice deck! I’m playing her already and got some of the cards in my deck too, so I’m going to buy the rest and give it a try. I’m wondering, if some of the more expensive cards might be replaced with cheaper alternatives: - prismatic vista - Otawara, Soaring City - Boseiju, Who Endures - Fierce Guardianship - Deflecting Swat - Cavern of Souls
Thanks!!! Yep you can certainly replace the lands with cheap duels or even basics, as the decks color requirements aren't that great. As for the protection spells, replace them with whatever you feel the deck needs more of eg interaction, card draw etc.
i am using tyranid deck for casual game and i have been told that when lucea copy the X creature with ravenous, the copy doesnt draw you any cards; only the original one does as it "comes" in with X +1+1 counters but the copy doesnt comes in with X but copying the original stats. And secondly, tapping and untapping lucea for additional 2 colourless mana also doesnt make another copy of the creature, that i still havent got a clear explanation.
Wizards has some release notes confirming that she indeed does draw you cards with the ravenous copies and makes additional token copies each time you tap her. You should be able to google them and show your friends 🙂
Used Blue suns twilight today copied three times. Stole my friends yarok along with his board and the other friends atla. Safe to say i swung in with 4 primordial hydras and won. "Your decks too strong lol" was funny as hell to hear that. Thank you for making this deck it's amazing.
That's awesome to hear and your welcome!!! Great you also got to try twilight. As soon as it got spoiled, I knew it would pull its weight and then some with Lucea 🙂
I took out Sanctum Weaver for Magus. So many times Sanctum was a dead card in my hand because I had no enchantments, I honestly don't know why it's there if there is only 5 enchantments in total. Magus is soooo much better in comparison.
Kalonian Hydra doesn't really synergise with Lucea and I'd rather just run another x spell instead to break it with her. Doubling season doesn't work with the tokens Lucea makes unfortunately. Awaken the Woods is one worth including, but at this point I don't feel we need the ramp. Hope that helps 🙂
I forgot to ask.. does finale of devastation (paid with 10+ into x) get any creature out the deck and give it counters? Or does it die because the creatures are technically "0/0" Before casting?
Hey man love the video, just have some questions 1: if i were to tap lucea cane say 2 times but she dies before i use her ability do they disappear or stay untill i summon the next x spell? If so if i recast lucea Cane agian dose tapping her agian go to the previous stack if they were unused? 2: if i taped lucea cane say 3 times and since every tap gives 2 manna dose the manna stack into 6 manna and if so can i use that manna on x cast spell then copy that 3 times? So tap 3 times and cast thassa's intervention with a total of 6 x manna an their being 3 copys of thassa's intervention with x equals 6 Thank you for responding in advance
1. They should stay so it counts for the next spell you cast, including when you recast her. 2. The mana and copying ability counts for the next spell you cast. Its why so many untap effects have been included 🙂
@casual_commander oh so dose that mean each time i tap the manna adds up to a manna pool so instead of 3 copys and 2 manna separate for each copy I can pool it into 6 and use it to make 3 copys of that 6? Agian, thank you in advance for responding
I don't think it's necessary. I'd rather have an untap effect instead to get an extra copy out of Lucea when copying an interactive or card advantage spell.
