Pretty damn good. I only wish the rhythmic crash was much lower in pitch. A deeper, perhaps more distant sounding banging would have really elevated this.

The air was thick with grave silence as X entered the room, and stared at the somber throne before him. A lonely prison that would hold captive the last remaining evils of the world. And he would be the lock. Since Omega's defeat, Zero had gone back into stasis. The Elf Wars had decimated the world... but it had survived. Once he confined himself here, they could rebuild. He pondered it. Perhaps, someday, the Mother could be cured, and he would be awakened in a new world, to enjoy the peace he'd worked so hard to purchase. Or, perhaps he would remain here for the rest of time. If it meant everlasting peace, that would be fine. He had been fighting for a long time... perhaps he should be grateful that it was time to rest. He drew one last, measured breath... and took his solemn seat.
