The opening scene is probably still the coolest display of Nightcrawler’s powers Xavier can’t freeze time, he can freeze people’s brains. In the comics, Mystique is Nightcrawler’s mother. Though it was very recently retconned that she’s his bilogical father. She mimicked a couple men’s genetics to make a baby with her female lover. Which is what her creator originally wanted to do a long time ago. 27:06 If you mean her super name, it’s Deathstrike. Her real name is Yuriko. Ice Man is an incredibly powerful mutant (omega level), and could definitely have helped, but this version is untrained, not even on the team yet. He wasn’t exactly helping fight against the soldiers when the mansion was raided. That was a bird like shape under the water. That’s all I’ll say

You are correct that is Lamplighter aka Shawn Ashmore . However, he has an exact duplicate twin that also acts, Aaron Ashmore. The only way you can tell them apart is if they are together. One is like two inches taller than the other. Other than that you have to look up the credits when you see that face.

It's called X2: X-Men United following a trend of titling films that was quite active at the time, and had been ever since Terminator 2 was marketed as T2: Judgment Day back in 1991. The 'united' is implying both the 'goodies' and the 'baddies' working together against a common human foe, which you likely worked out by now (I've yet to watch the reaction, I'm assuming).

I really love how they played Dies Irae for Nightcrawler's fight scene. Not only because it's sung in German, but also because the song is about God (perfect for Kurt).

Magneto is great villain because he is not wrong... His method's are just extreme. Ian McKellen is amazing. But then he is also Gandalf and has top Narrator voice with Morgan Freeman and James Earl Jones.

If Bobby made an ice wall, the force of the rushing water would have pushed it into the ship and probably crushed them all. Also, they did give the 'female Wolverine' a name: Yuriko. Stryker introduced her earlier as such. And she was being controlled too. Right after she gets stabbed with the adamantium injector, you can see her regain herself...just in time to die a horrific death. Yay comic book movies.

When you get the chance you should watch X-Men ‘97! Much closer to the comics in terms of focusing on all of the characters and the storylines. (This is a great adaptation of the comic God Loves, Man Kills though!)

I think it's funny how in the movie Logan wants to be with Jean, but can't since shes with Cyclops. Because I think in the comics he ends up in a polyamorous relationship with Jean AND Cyclops. If you can't beat em, join em. Problem solved.

If I had an X-Men power it would be to shape shift into any animal. People shape shift is cool, but I want something like Beast Boy from the Teen Titans. Any creature, just nothing human. Imagine needing to just run down a thief and just BOOM cheetah. Or you fall off a cliff? Bird! Mouse, cat, dog, you could go anywhere! It would be so nice to just be a sleep cat all day. Plus if it is the Marvel universe who knows what other worldly creatures are out there to mimic!
