As a Padres fan I want you all to know that we appreciate the hell out of Don over here. The banter in between calls with Mudcat (Mark Grant) makes every game we play fun to watch which is hard to do when the Padres have been as disappointing as we've been basically forever.
can totally feel for red sox fans about losing multiple staples in boston including the best pbp announcer that is don, but as a padres fan it’s both funny and just wrong that these guys can’t comprehend another teams fan base caring for don just as they did. while its not the same as don and jerry (nothings gonna replicate that) don in san diego with mark grant is just that. don and mud. listen to a single game with the two of on the call and all of the “in-between banter”, “family member”, “summer” don is still alive and kickin’, just no longer with the franchise that did him dirty. we love him for who he is and our franchise reflects that. you’re right about 0% chance of him going back tho, don diego forever!

Well, was a good run while it lasted. You guys didn't jinx the Sox, you guys have reason to be hyped. I originally made the statement jokingly, but then the Sox started kicking ass after I made it. They even started moving above .500 by a few games. So I felt compelled to keep making that comment while they were still winning. If looking like an idiot makes the Sox win games and series, I'll do my part.
