He did win a La Liga so his reign has been far from a failure.

Barca experienced a rebirth since Xavi came, he completely transformed their playstyle and mentality. He pulled them out of the mud and fixed a lot of things. He brought back discipline, tactics and style. In my opinion he made the right choices in squad lineups, discarding some players and helping others to flourish. And overall he seems like a good man with good energy and vibes. He won La Liga and he made us forget about the dark depressing days under Valverde, Setien, Koeman and Bartomeu. And that says a lot about Xavi who came in such a messy situation with Barca being on the lowest bottom, having financial and political issues, and him not having too much experience as a coach.. Barca fans asked for a miracle and we got Xavi who truly did a miraculous thing. Honestly, i think no other coach in the world could fix that team under such circumstances, not even Guardiola himself. Pep would probably be so pissed off with the team and the board, he would beg Man City or Bayern to take him back, or he would even take Stoke City just to get away from Barca. But Xavi took the job like a real man and did his best, so thanks to Xavi now Barca is closer to the right path. He repaired the foundation of the club and paved the way for other managers to come.

I don't know why people think he's not a good coach. This guy have won the la Liga as a coach. For me better than klopp in his first years as coach. Klopp become a better coach after lots of experience in Mainz and Dortmund. Xavi is only few years into the coaching and people are criticising him already. Give the man time. I am sure he will be great coach in the future. For me he's even better than Arteta.
