After reinstallation it worked as before. thx man. However, even if I pressed the share button like before, screenshots and recordings did not work properly. I had to plug in a USB C cable for the share button to work properly. Is there any solution to this?
Glad to hear it's working again! The issue with the share button might be related to firmware or settings. Make sure your controller's firmware is up to date and try resetting the controller settings in your device's settings menu.
I have both these settings on and it still doesn't open. Win+g opens it but when I want to get a recording in the heat of the moment I can lose a good chunk of time by having to get up to go get my keyboard just for a single shortcut. I have a back injury and it takes me a good few seconds to get up so it's pretty frustrating I can't compensate with the controller shortcut any more.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:Ensure Xbox Game Bar is Enabled:Go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar and make sure it's turned on.Check Controller Settings:Open the Xbox Accessories app and ensure that the controller's button mapping is set correctly for the Xbox button.Update Your Controller:Make sure your Xbox controller firmware is up to date using the Xbox Accessories app.Reinstall Xbox Game Bar:Press Win + X, select Windows PowerShell (Admin), and run the command: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackageThen, reinstall it from the Microsoft Store. Background Services:Ensure that Xbox services are running. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and check if "Xbox Accessory Management Service" and "Xbox Live Auth Manager" are running.
@@Ralwor I got mine workin by fresh driver install. Go to device manager, Xbox peripherals, uninstall the controller. Should require a restart. Then reinstall mine finally worked after that.
@@TechTipsContent The Xbox button to bring up the game bar. What this video was supposed to solve. I got it working after going into device manager, uninstalling driver, restarting computer, then reinstalling driver. Since all my buttons were working I didn’t think this was needed but it was the last hope.
First, try restarting your PC to see if that resolves the issue. If not, double-check your Game Bar settings in Windows by going to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar, and make sure it's turned on. Also, verify that the Xbox button on your controller is correctly configured to open the Game Bar under 'Shortcuts.' If the issue persists, you might need to update your controller's drivers or reinstall the Xbox Game Bar. Hope this helps!
