How to use Discord Voice Chat on Xbox. Discord voice chat is now on Xbox and you can use the Discord Voice Channels on your Discord Server through Xbox with this new Xbox Update coming soon. Xbox and Discord integration isn't new but previously there wasn't a way to use Discord Voice for Xbox Party Chat.

@@akaScratch Yo I got banned yesterday, no you can't access discord while banned, the banned account doesn't have the ability to join,create parties.

it does, i am currently com banned and can be in these party/voice chats with friends perfectly fine, however not everyone has the ability so ur friends might not be able to connect the app to their xbox

It took me a long and incredibly frustrating struggle, but I found out how to do it. Once you've got your Xbox and Discord apps on your phones and sync them to your console, you have to join a channel on your phone using the Discord app; if you swipe up on the channel (both mic symbol and green "Join Voice" are next to each other), there should be a new link that says "Join on Xbox [BETA]". Press the button, it'll open another dialogue box in the Xbox app (provided you've already signed in and have a console connected) and it should say "Transfer voice", confirm the request to transfer and it should be available on your Xbox account.

If you guys screenshot when he puts the qr code up on the screen you can use that to connect it if you weren’t able to goe to photos click and hold onto the qr until it says open in discord

I signed up in the insider hub but don’t see any updates. If these get rolled out randomly to only some users, how likely am I to get picked? I absolutely appreciate that a official support for discord is in the making, but this is probably going to take ages until it’s shipped with the regular OS…

For those who get stuck after linking accounts you have to get into a discord call first. Then you will have the option to launch the Xbox APP and then in the Xbox app you will chose what Xbox to use “discord” on

I just added my discord acc to linked accounts in settings, after i scanned the QR code and it just brought me to my chats on discord, no new screen to link no nothing

Ok so heres my issue. Ive connected my xbox and discord however when i go to party and chats that doesn't show up. I linked it from the qr code prompt on the home screen. Anyway when i go on my phone and try to get it to work it says success and go back to discord. So when i do that it wont connect

IVE FIGURED IT OUT. You have to get into a discord call and you will have the option to launch on your Xbox. It’ll take you to the xbox app and from there you will have to choice what xbox to join on

Personally i was hoping for screenshare option in there, but that's too much for a first release. Way better than talking to friends on my phone, Xbox and Discord are so Gigachad. plus i can screenshare all i want on Twitch. Probably my favourite "Social" update so far since i bought my xbox one a few months ago

kinda wish they just made a xbox app and then it integrates that way allowing you to go through all the channels and voice channel etc on xbox and if your in game you can just do it through that way but i guess this works

If you don't have the option on your own console, you'll have to wait or join the xbox insider hub for the update if you haven't already.

@@jessepinkman594 Are you opted in to preview? You have to go to the preview section and join it. It will then prompt you to update your console to the test build.

I’m an insider but I don’t have all of those voice options on my discord app, I feel like you skipped over something because when I use the link it tells me it’s set up but I never get the option to switch it over to my Xbox. I don’t even see a voice chat page on my discord

You need to be an alpha member of the Xbox insider program. Just do some surveys and reach level 2 and you should be good

What does it look like to other users? As in does it tell them you are in discord chat the same way as a party

It shows your name in the voice chat with a xbox symbol next to it. Unless you mean other xbox users, in which case, I dont know.
