It's an interesting time in gaming! Also To King's point on AI. Palworld might be the best example of that so far, and that was a hit game.

This is going on across the business and financial landscape as a whole. Look at the music industry layoffs and sudden departures. The money is slowing down and certain positions no longer make the companies money.

Chasing 4k 60fps with ray tracing on sub $1000 boxes was bad enough, the suits had to go nuts with the size of games and budgets. Unsustainable. A collapse is what awe need. Sony is just gouging folks with more hardware and weak lineups. Current gen is a holdover gen until 4k hardware is actually affordable for the masses. Sad to see. I'm just glad Nintendo are the only grownups in the room and indie devs can still shine.

Dam I just started IT 5 years ago and was recently laid off. Been so flipping hard to find a job even entry level especially in California so that line hit home.

Haven’t given it a listen yet but I used to be die hard, Xbox dei washed out all the passion and watered down everything xbox, after raising gamepass prices to the point it’s not worth it for the regular consumer and even some hard core like myself who just don’t have the funds, I find myself listening to less entertainment in the space because of these reasons and I blame xbox for promising the future will be better just wait. I waited two console generations, they bought cod for the mainstream people over spending and toppling a leaning tower Xbox has to earn me back or I’m going pc and never looking back next gen

I pay for Game Pass with Microsoft rewards and have never had to pay out of my own pocket. But even if I did have to pay out of my own pocket, it's still the best value in gaming. Anyone saying otherwise is lying or delusional

@@jessep5280 there’s a lot of sales and stuff without owning a game with game pass and only renting it and only while it’s there kinda sucks, I’m someone who goes back and plays games I enjoyed tho so if you don’t do that I guess? I’m not paying for gamepass when it’s mostly things I own or wouldn’t play anyway, and I’ll end up spending more in the long run since I actually have to pay for it and my finances are strained

@@jnunya3833 I don’t understand why it’s a argument when people can have different opinions? Different finances available? Differ amounts of time to game? That might be the subscription numbers but like the guy above who is actually paying might be different. I’m a Xbox fan but I can’t justify making a bad decision because it’s right for others. It’s no longer the affordable option it’s 22$ with tax it’s near with 30 I can buy games for that price and have them forever.
