Great video! I believe you forgot a major feature that the Xbox One has: backwards compatibility with many Xbox 360 games and some original Xbox games.

If you want a definitive list of exclusives: - Crimson Dragon - Dance Central Spotlight (Kinect) - Fighter Within (Kinect) - Forza Motorsport 5 - Fru (indie?) - Halo 5 - Kinect Sports Rivals - Powerstar Golf - Shape Up (Kinect) - Space Jam: A New Legacy (also on Xbox Series) - Xbox Fitness (Kinect) There is also Rare Replay but those games are a collection of previously released Rare games so they're available on other platform. So if you discount all the Kinect games, it's 5 games.

I had a xbox one and completed Ryse, Gears of Wars 4, Gears 5, Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break. I also played Forza, Halo, Rare Replay, Ori and many titles on Game Pass and Ea Access not to mention the big multiplatforms and xbox 360 games (I got to complete Red Dead Redemption 1 for the first time on the system). Overall by the time I sold my console in 2020 the left thumbstick had visible wear by how much I had played on it, although it still worked great. I think much of the hate it got was just because people were still sour from 2013 E3. Saying "yet another Gears and Halo" could also be said to God of War and Spider Man, but you don't hear it as much. In the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. Also the biggest sellers and most played games on consoles are the likes of GTA, Fifa and COD anyways. I'm a pc gamer now, seeing that both sony and microsoft are releasing their games on pc. But I do think that exclusivity drives the development of great games and I'm not sure if it's a good thing that consoles seem to be dying a not so slow death.

Never wanted to spend money on Killer Instinct but the music in that game SLAPS. Sea of Thieves seems like so much fun, a bunch of my buddies love that game. But yeah I've heard the launch was ROUGH. Seems to be a trend with Microsoft in the modern era lol.

I've never owned an Xbox console and probably never will because of this very reason. If MS releases a new major release I can just play it on my PC and have a superior experience because of the more powerful hardware, it's the same for Series X.

@@Rawk__ MS knows this, so now they are pivoting from console gaming and now having a much heavier focus on having more sales for their games overall by porting to PC, being able to play Xbox games on your phone or tablet with Gamepass and even porting a couple of their games to PlayStation. I think that Microsoft's strategy will actually be the future of gaming in the long term.

It's a crime that it was left to rot on Xbox. I still wish they released the PS3 version or even a PC version... At this point you can emulate it now at 60 FPS on PC.

I bought one used in 2023.I was gaming on ps4 all these yrs before and it has many exclusives.Was going to buy a ps5 but got bored to see all the remakes and lack of exclusives on that console.Somehow xbox one seemed like a good system again lol

sea of thieves is by far my favourite xbox one exclusive! getting some friends together and playing through one of the big cinematic questlines, or going to take down some big sea monsters is so fun! big recommendation to anyone who hasn't tried it! other than forza and sot, i personally have no interest in any of the other big xbox titles (i never liked halo or gears)

I haven't played a great deal of it, but what I have played has been pretty great. I'm sure there are other people in the same position as you, which is why I think Microsoft really dropped the ball when it comes to exclusives. There isn't enough variety.

While some people might see this as bad. I think its a good thing. i see consoles are just what eco system you want to be in and ngl for pc gamers i recomend just using xbox if they need a console for console exclusive games that never come to pc for some reason. (looking at you EA UFC)

And that's completely fair! The topic of console exclusivity is such a nuanced one, so I find everybody's different views and perspectives really interesting. I'm personally coming into the discussion as somebody who isn't really that big on PC gaming, so console exclusives are really important to me.

Alright, so I bought an Xbox One on a whim a few years ago at GameStop. Why? I... don't really know. I was in a very big collecting phase back then, and it was on sale for a pretty decent price, so I went for it. Couldn't hurt to have one, right? And... I've barely used it! Pretty much all of my Xbox games are just games I bought because, "I went to GameStop, they didn't have it on PS4, so Xbox it is." The only exclusive game I have is Rare Replay and I think that says a lot. Of course, I have The Master Chief Collection as well, but what's the point if my PC can play Halo too and so much better? I'm very much considering picking up a Series X or Series S in the future to use as a Game Pass machine though! My PC is kinda ehhhh (that sounds contradictory to what I just said; my PC is better than the Xbox One, not the Series X), and I can forsee myself getting a ton of use out of Game Pass, so if I see one of those consoles at a decent price, maybe I'll nab one. I've rambled, thank you for the banger Rawk!

Yeah, it's always nice to have the console there as an option, but if a game is multiplatform, I have veeeery little reason to buy it on Xbox One rather than PS4. This console's exclusives are pretty much the only thing keeping me using it, so when they're dwindling in number and lacking variety... why own this system?

hey if your going too do this for xbox you need too dops5 has no exlcusive there losing too them on pc . pc we got horrizon ghost coming soon rachet and clank sack boy soon demon souls got leaked from the nvidia leak there also ps2 and few ps3 games on pc i see on steam heavy rain .

As somebody who is primarily a PC gamer, a consoles exclusives are pretty much the entire reason for buying one. Nintendo generally always has enough to justify buying whatever their latest console is for me, for Xbox and Playstation have never really caught my interest too much! Really liking the thumbnail/format experimentation atm, great vid!

Yeah, I get what you mean. I did give Halo, Gears of War and Forza the credit they deserve, but the thing is, even if you do discredit the PlayStation series you mentioned, I'd argue the PS4 has a much more compelling line-up of exclusive games compared to the Xbox One. There's a greater number of them, sure, but there's also much more variety, at least from what I've seen.

xbox one games that used to be exclusive ar enot a big deal anymore, because at least when the Xbox One was new for a while you could only play those games on that system. The much bigger issue is the Series X not having any exclusives at all.

Oh definitely! I just feel that the amount of games you can/could only play one Xbox One is still pretty disappointing. But yeah, Series X has a much bigger problem from what I've observed, I just don't actually own one.

Xbox died, murdered by Nadella and Spencer. Without a team like Peter Moore, J Allard, a team that cares about hardware and competing for our currency etc, Xbox never stood a chance. Spencer cares more about safe spaces and when we all play we all win(whatever that means), Nadella wants a Game Pass stick/App to replace hardware, and Bill Gates never wanted the Xbox, he was just scared of Sony dominating the living room. PS5 is my last console, gaming is on a downward spiral and the reasons are too long to mention and could alert the new gestapo.

The funny answer is, that's exactly what Xbox does to a man, but the real answer is that I've been making a conscious effort to be much less over the top with my delivery, be a lot more natural and authentic. So, I kept things pretty mellow this time around.

I think with discussions like this, I prefer to keep emulators out of the conversation. But yeah, as far as I've seen the PS5 has the exact same issue. If I ever end up owning one, I'll probably make a similar video on that system.

Yeah, I think it's the best move from a business standpoint, ensuring as many people have access to your games as possible, but it does make the consoles the games were originally released on feel less worth having.
