I had this exact same problem turns out that the power box inside was disconnected, the clip to hold it in place had broken so it was disconnected. I opened it and put a little super glue and taped the wires to keep them from moving and now it works fine! Try it
@@eoinsheridan5619pry off the black bottoms piece then you need a torque screwdriver but only take the green ones out then u can slide the top cover off and viola
This issue might have several causes, first you need to take it apart and check the standby voltage and power rails. If those pass the check and everything looks fine on the motherboard take a look at a chip called "TDP158". Not exactly sure about the 'name' of that chip as I don't have a clear pic but check to see it the solder has oxidised and apply fresh solder with a soldering iron. That fixed my problem on 2 separate xbox one s consoles. Obviously I'm no expert but if you know how to solder and how to check power rails and mosfets and they turn out to be good then try my fix. Obviously you need to rule out HDD, blu-ray drive, wifi module and the power button daughter board first, not to mention good known power supply. Let me know if this helped any of you strangers. Kudos 2 u all
This problem happens when liquid is spilled on the xbox. That or power supply gone out, it can be either of the two. If it's the first problem , using a blow dryer on cool air on all of the vent's / holes and letting it sit for 1hour-2 days should fix. If it's the second problem just get another power supply cord.
I’m having the same problem with my Xbox one halo edition. This thing is low key valuable to me and I don’t wanna take it in somewhere for them to charge me 3-400 dollars for something simple. Any help would be amazing
Just want to say, this was about 3 years ago and has been changed to a short, this happened because my little brother had spilt coke over the Xbox, I could’ve got it fixed but it would’ve cost a little less then getting the newer Xbox at the time so I did that instead.
No really just take the case off the Xbox off clean the whole system wit sum wipes n u should be good to go don’t forget to shake the Xbox for dust or roaches 🪳 😂
But the second time it’s now this, I had a 32.5v compactor that was net the membrane attached to the disc reader and it had high amounts of thermal spikes so after I had soldered the used compactor and checked it, i found some silicon and made sure that shit don’t come loose again. Also hit the front control and side control panel jpin box with wiring grease, hopefully the fan won’t vibrate the system till it croaks again
I have the same problem Here could be three solutions 1. Replace the HDD 2. Replace power supply 3. Replace IR board I’m doing #3 just in case because the IR board has wifi and Bluetooth also the power and eject button on it, and it’s pretty easy to replace you just have to be very delicate with the board buttons (I’ll give updates if #3 worked for me)
@@Idkagajsjzb infrared board It has the power/eject/sync buttons all on the same board I got mine today and it didn’t fix my issue so I’m getting a new power supply next
@@FaresAbughoushno I’m afraid not As it turned out when I took my console apart and looked at one of the pin connectors it looked like the pin melted into one of the sockets due to having a lot of heat so this console I had is done and can only be fixed by either a brand new console or a brand new motherboard
I’ve got the Xbox one s used aswell and works like brand new try taking ur wires out including hdmi and plug back in if it doesn’t work I don’t know how to fix this 😅
I have the same xbox one s that's in the video and I've had it since March and this started to happen to me almost a month ago because it went without power for way too long but if you get it to stay on again don't unplug for too long or it will come back
I have the exact same problem, tried to change the power supplie, still the same fault... Will try to change thermal paste tomorrow, but what else could it be?
For anyone wondering this usually happens when there’s a problem with the hard drive, replace it with a new one or do what I did and place an ssd, once it is formatted you can place it in your Xbox and proceed with the offline system update process and voila your problem should be solved.
For those who have this problem, it’s unfixable, it’s the red ring of death almost but for Xbox ones, all I can say is that it’s time to upgrade to series x, I just did and it was the best decision.
This happened recently with my xbox one s, i got it checked and th problem was in the motherboard of the xbox like it was severly damaged from the southern bridge through which current passes thats why it was able to produce current on
It is fixable but you need a new power supply for your xbox so if you and buy one and do it urself or just toss her, repair shops are way to overpriced
Bro that happed to my Xbox one I tried the hair dryer didn’t work tried talking it apart didn’t know how I left it in my room for a year plugged it in and it works
Js happened to me I took the shell off and cleaned the fan and dust that’s most likely the main issue if that don’t work then probably need to get it fixed as it might be messed up
I know this video was 2-3 years ago hut this is happening to me today Also the my Xbox some how recovered from water spill a long time ago so i can probably see why rhis is happening
@@RandomSTREETguy I am so heartbroken, was waiting for starfield so eagerly and this happened. I hope mine will work too. Already was having drifting issue with controller as well but it worked after blowing air on RB stick.
@@RandomSTREETguy bro my xbox is working now. I am glad that it worked. Although I feel it can do the same problem again but atleast it's not a motherboard problem. Although I am having a drifting problem with my RB button.
This happens when 1. your xbox doesnt get enough ventilation or is full of dust 2. Bad hardrive 3.bad power supply 4.processor needs to be repasted because the thermal paste inside has deteriorated from all the heat the system emmits due to POOR VENTILATION. Truth is xbox needs to be in a well ventilated area and if not the heat the system produces will cause this to happen. Keep the system clear of dust buy vacuming it two to three times a week. If not then the dust will act as insulation causing the system to be twice as hot.
