UPDATE 2020 !
So down the line I tried multiple things with this Xbox including taking the front panel off to see if it was the sensor. It did the same thing over and over. Turned on then shut off. If the strategies I use in the video and in the comment section don’t work then your Xbox is COMPLETELY broken !!!

So this was a gifted 2nd xbox one. I alreadyhave a working one and this one is just for friends to have and extra so we can play multiple games together

So it worked then did an update and it failed and then wouldnt turn back on. I recorded it but deleted it because im an idiot.
Tips !! (2022 update)
A few tips. Try a different outlet. Try a different power cord. Try a different tv/monitor. If those don’t work then try cleaning your Xbox with dust spray. If that doesn’t work then I recommend you get a new Xbox because the price of fixing one is not worth the price compared to getting a new one. Sorry if this didn’t help. Just trying to spread the message at this point.

So my Xbox keeps turning off but through out the day when I’m in my room you can hear the xbox turn it’s self on/off noise but won’t actually turn it self on does this happen to anybody as well??

SOLVED: What worked for me was to spray a can of compressed air into the side vent adjacent to the Xbox button. It worked on my third attempt at spraying air into the vents after hours of trouble-shooting.

Thank you so much man I tried everything and all I had to do was hatd reset it I thought my xbox was toast there not cheap I didnt think this was going to work and this is coming from a guy who has alot of bad luck but it worked again...thank you so much
