The difference with the door is the cut out for the charge connection. Maybe plug the station in before u put the controllers on top

Seems like my controller isn't charging when using the stand.. the light goes from orange to white and when i turn the controller on it shows medium battery instead of full. Any reason why? Additionally.. is it okay if i charge the controller with a USB-c connection (with the battery pack installed on the controller)?

Is it really necessary for the rechargeable batteries? Like cant you just put in the normal batteries and charge it?

No it’s not necessary but it’s easier this way since you don’t have take the batteries in/out and it’s always ready to go if you put them on charge when you’re not playing.

How can i know that it is charging and how long it will take to charge?

The night on the unit indicates if it charging or done. Orange means it’s charging. White means it’s done. Unfortunately there isn’t a timer to tell you much time is left while charging.

Try to reset it if you haven’t already and make sure that the the try is in the unlocked position (not pressed in).

What’s not? The charger? Make sure you have the controller sitting properly and make sure you push down on it

Ughh! That sucks. Sorry to hear that! The only other thing I can think of is that to make sure the adapter is plugged in fully under the unit.
