Xbox Series X vs S in 2024! (Still Worth it?)

This was what i was thinking, I don’t have an eye to notice the difference between 30 and 60 fps and the new starfield game only runs at 30 fps anyway, the series S is the way to go if you have a ps5 for sure

@@Red-qv4nb good 30fps isn’t bad at all. Honestly with the way games are performing on the PS5/SX it looks like this gen is CPU bound again anyways so the extra power of the Series X GPU won’t matter a whole heck of a lot. You might see better shadows and texture work here and there but the resolution and fps differences aren’t gonna be super noticeable. From experience on a good TV nobody that has a Series S is missing out on a whole heck of a lot.

@@craigsurface9147The Series X has a disc drive so that alone to me is worth the upgrade. Microsoft removed a game from my digital library and my Xbox crashed so I spent $60 on a digital game I can no longer play. I will NEVER buy a digital game again! I have lost all faith in digital anything other than music streaming.

Yeah people don't realize how close the Series S and PS5 are its close sometimes you can't tell the difference I have the Series S and Series X and the X is truly better than PS5 although PS5 is nice too and has better games for now.

@LeoClarke44 actually spending mote time on older games like destiny 2, fallout 4, gears, even viva pinata because of the increased resolution and most importantly the 60fps. Bethesda need to give us a 720p 60fps starfield

I have a ps5 and a series s and I’m being completely honest here. The difference to me is huge. The graphics on the series s are just worse, it’s like it’s sorta blurry. I downloaded ghostwire tokyo on both my ps5 and series s and it’s just way better and smoother to play on ps5. Also I can’t even download many new games on the series s since the stock storage is laughable. Just my opinion

The series s is dog shit. Triple A titles run at 900-1080 30 fps. The console even misses out on ray tracing features 90% of the time. Stop acting like the difference isn’t massive because it’s huge. The graphics difference of the ps5/series x makes the series s look like a last gen console. The console is literally a mid gen upgrade at best and will only continue to hold back gaming. I hate this weak ass console now every current gen game is catered towards it.

starfield is 30fps max on both consoles so series s is alr

Prolly not but a lot of new triple a games lock series s to 30 for some stupid reason while x and ps5 gets 60 performance mode

You can run 120fps on games like Fortnite and apex

I have both S and X the framerates are 2 to 3 times better on Skyrim I get between 30-60 fps on the X its way over 60 fps with better resolution.

I have both Series S and X your right the X is much better. After I got the Series X I put my Series S away but going from base Xbox One to Series S was the biggest jump I ever made in games. The best next gen experience is with Series X

Xbox Series S has a ZEN 2 CPU that has 8 Cores and is clocked at a maximum throughput of 3.6 GHz (3.4 GHz with "SMT" (Simultaneous Multithreading) ), which means that the Series S is less capable of hitting the 120fps mark in games and is typically more rounded towards 30-60fps in games. Xbox Series X has a ZEN 2 CPU that has 8 Cores and is clocked at a maximum throughput of 3.8 GHz (3.66 GHz with "SMT" (Simultaneous Multithreading) ), which means that the Series X is more capable of hitting the 120fps mark in games and is typically more consistently rounded towards 60fps in games and can also go to 120fps if the games are optimized.
