Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

I love steampunk, solarpunk, and cyberpunk; all great genres. So I get why someone would want to have a 'something'-punk title for their game, but SHARDpunk is well... Well it sure is a title.

Played the demo for this a while ago on steam. I'm not a big fan of pixel games in 2023 but it is a very interesting game and a lot of fun from what I have seen. XCOM darkest dungeon is a very good way to describe it.

Very fun looking, I'm getting some "Dungeon of the Endless" vibes, which is great. I do feel you could have timed your Looting better though, it felt like you had ample opportunity to gain the "Looting Spree" bonus and go HAM on higher quality loot in the last couple of rooms in the tutorial, and just... Didn't. If this game highly values and emphasizes resource management, it seems like that'd be an important consideration for the future.

My thoughts on the added overwatch charges is you probably need to be next to automaton with with support turned on to make use of the extra shots, since they won't generate heat.

Medals kinda remind me of Dead Age unlock/boost future runs mechanics and game definitely feels like Depth of Extinction. But yes, I can imagine it being pretty challenging and stuff. I can utterly see myself playing this game for hours, completely losing my sense of time! Thank you Mr. Odd for sharing this one with us (haven't watch your content in a while but you never stop to amaze). :)

Interesting mix of features. A version of Skaven from Warhammer, the Heat-as-Ammo system from Mass Effect, pixel style graphics that remind me of good old late-80s Zak McKracken and most of the main game mechanics from X-COM/Long War. Personally, I don't like that graphics style any more, so I likely wouldn't play this game myself, but it looks like a solid game so far.

Loving this game, big shout out to the devs. Now as much as I like the psychosis traits from stress, some are rather annoying and I wonder if there was some way of "curing" them? Maybe a treatment/therapy? ;)

If it's too output randomness dependent, no thanks. Xcom does an OK job at removing output randomness via progression and distance/elevation system. Darkest Dungeon had nothing like that so it was just output randomness incarnation which I really didn't like.

I’m beginning to have an addiction for indie games and I love it. It all began with Rimworld then I tried out project zombiod recently I played zed zone and now this game. Someone stop me I can’t control myself. Oh wait nvm I bought all those games and it only cost me what 1 AAA game would have cost me. Hmmm 🤔 indie games are my saving grace cause I was starting to lose interest in games from the lack of passion put into them. Not any more!!!
