XDefiant Is Ripping You Off! Don't Fall for It! 

As long as the microtransactions are not pay to win, it does not bother me. This is why i dont mind fortnite. You can play for free and have access to all the same weapons and items as the guy who has spent a grand on skins.

weapon balance is awful...?? 1. no matter what game you play...not matter the scene there will always be a top 3 tier gun/meta 2. the question isnt, are the guns over powered? its can i fight back? in Xdefiant you for sure can fight back against every gun in the game. lobbies with lvl 70 bunny hopping mp7 and acr users, ive won and have seen myslef lose with those same ppl on my team, and there was mass gun variety. 3. Snipers only problem is no flinch, but good movement literally destroys any sniper in the game, the use of abilities, proper positioning... Every gun in this game is pretty broken in its own way, AA12, LMGS, Marksman rifles that two tap to upper body... and if they are all broken nothing is broken. As for microtransactions agreed they shouldn't be this high (pokemon unite on the switch, a free moba game charges 60 bucks for one "unique" skin in a game whos company market is at kids. talk about predatory). The Devs have no control on the pricing model thats Ubi, (look at the new Star wars and assassin game coming out). Other hand they are just skins and thats a persons choice to spend their money on what they want and we have no control over that. Im not a person swayed by pretty pixels on my screen knowing years down the line it means nothing to the gameplay unless the skins are intractable ((Bo3/4, WW2). But it is highway robbery to be putting digital purchases out at a consistent rate at these prices when the majority of gamers are in age groups that work, go to collage, and or pay bills all of which is already expensive.

this guy has never seen the valorant store yet have ya....shameful indeed. we as a gaming community need to revoke buying any AAA studio games until they truly show progress but hard to do when 13yo will eat em up left n right bc parents care less and less. RIP

I hate the MTX model these days. I have paid for some BS skins, and after playing XDefiant I wonder why. However, here is the deal. Why I hate the Transactions in these games today. In 2012-2014 you could buy gun skins that worked on every gun, they came with a calling card as well. How much? $2.99 Skins like cyborg, dragon, bacon, or Weaponized 115, or even pack a punch. These were in the game Black Ops II. In Call of Duty Ghosts you could buy multiple skins, got some for free, but still all worked on all guns. You could buy Snoop Dogg, or the general from full metal jacket as announcers. You could buy a wolf skin, etc. Nothing went over $5 for the microtransactions unless you bought a map pack which came with multiple maps, new guns, etc. for $15.00. Today you cannot even buy a skin for all guns we all know they go to only 1. and they charge over $20.00 for it all. It is BS. Shorty is right. Stand up for yourselves. If Mobile games are making a killing on actual microtransactions. Then so can these games. We hate paying high prices on mobile games, so why do it on an FPS Shooter. Make it make sense.

This Is Why I've Been Biased About microTransaction

One thing I noticed yesterday, when unlocking attachments is there are some attachments that help weapon flinch. Except there isn't any flinch in the game. Every time I use an LMG, I'll be spraying a player in his chest or neck, and I see a glint then bam I'm down. I cannot remember how many times I've been spraying a player who has a sniper rifle and he just casually one shots me in the face.

I personally buy stuff in fortnite coz you can actually SEE the cosmetics... but in shooter games, you can't even see your skins... what's the point? Not to mention that a lot of the bundles are priced just slightly over the 20$ x coins option which forced you to spent double as much on the 5750 x coin option. Like why? just charge 20 for like 2800 or something so people don't have to spend so much and be left with extra x coins they never wanted in the first place.. huge turn off tbh.

I have always been against it. COD, Battlefield, now Defiant are al about the money nothing more. Poor game development, lots of issues with the games, and when the community starts to complain tooooooooo much, then day decide the fix something here and there to keep us happy, so that the micro-trans, can continue. Yes get something out of the game, but as you mentioned it should be something fare. I don't pay for characters because at the end of the day, you can not see your self while playing, it's a FPS game for crying out load, only the other players can see, and on top of that, they don't care too. The game lets you unlock all gameplay related content and not bad for cosmetics either. Also, we knew about these bundles well before the game came out? I feel we are a little late here

Yeah the honeymoon phase is wearing off and I'm really starting to see its flaws. I'm holding out to see what they do with season 1. Its a good game, not a great game. 7/10 in its current state.

Anyone saying a bundle costing 60+ euros is legit because its "free" is insane, a 60 dollar game, Tripple A or not, is tons more work than some f'king skin in a FPS game.

I agree Microtransactions should probably cap at $10... like instead of those $100 packs, those should be $10 lol. But it seems disingenuous to focus so much on xDefiant and Ubisoft when almost everyone does this. To be clear, I'm not really defending MTXs. I don't think I've bought ONE since the goddamn horse armor DLC was introduced in Oblivion. (And again, tbc, I didn't buy that, either) The one reason I will SLIGHTLY defend xDefiant is it's free-to-play. That's better than the CODs you HAVE TO PAY FOR and then have MTXs on top! I'm still not gonna buy a MTX. But I might play it a bit more. I don't have PS+ and haven't in years. There aren't that many games I can play with my friend that are cross-platform/cross-play and don't require PS+ so... eh.

I think the amount of content + the frequency that they deliver new content will be what determines the lifespan of the game

This shit started so long ago... Shit in the OG BO2 in 2012 they had the Map Packs that were like 15 bucks every 3 months and people said then don't let them do this it's going to get bad. Fast forward and what's the DLC cost now in COD? 40-50 for the Black Cell crap? Just play the game and stay out of the store... problem solved!

You asked in-game chat how to get ult faster. Being in Objectives gradually makes the ult charge faster as well as Kills making it charge faster. From playing a lot of occupy matches, it's.. I think around 20 kills per ult. Kills give you more ult charge than objectives. Also Idc about the prices on skins. It's just skins. Has no impact on your actual gameplay. I normally don't buy skins and only usually buy the battle-passes after I finish them. So far the skins on the store have been kinda' meh anyway. Though I will say, I don't even hate CoD. But I haven't even played an arena shooter really since MW3 days back on console. Played a little of Halo Infinite. Played a lot more of The Finals.

I could give less of a damm what the definition of microtransaction is, these expensive bundles of in game currency have always existed. I remember even playing clash of clans back in loke 2012 they had them. If xdefiant either doesnt make better skins to justify the price or lower the skin prices, then let the game die 🤷🏽‍♂️

Still say, if the game was great, I didn't have the issues it did. Fine, get what you want, but as a community, at some point, we have to make a stand. We have seen this time and time again, and we have become way too comfortable with it. If you want buy the packs , buy it. Understand, that right now with some the issues is something they been working on through alpha, beta, server test and we get the same results. The game is fun, but as a community we need to do better and expect the same from dev teams

Everything in the store is worth $2-$5, nothing more. I understand the game is free, but we didn't ask for live service. I just recently gave away my PS3, w/ COD collection up until AV. Being that the game is colorful, skins should be earned, to compliment the game. which head of marketing over there. You're going to run people off the game, with greed. Here is my take. Number one its not the devs who chooses the prices on the Micro-transactions its the company Ubisoft. Next, XDfefiant dont shove the Micro-transactions down your throat each time you open the game. Its not trying to make you want to buy it, its not trying to force you to get it. Its a free to play game, yes it does need some tyoe of way to make money to continue to development of the game. I rather to have a free to play game with Micro-transactions then a game where you actually buy the game for $70 and have the Micro-transactions like COD. Im not defending Micro-transactions by all means, but i rather have a free to play game to have that then ad pop ups or a 30 second ad to play after each game. And i believe everyone would agree with me on that.

I can lose just the same, so I never buy skins or anything. They always charge too much just to end up losing to some PC douche YYing all over with their settings on G Fuel maximum. Have you seen how much skins are on that and other games?
