XDefiant Maps RANKED WORST TO BEST! (Which Are Great & Which Are TERRIBLE?)

The map designers for XDefiant are on another level. Fantastic to look at and fantastic to play on. Can't wait to see how the other two play this season.

Emporium is a map I back out of probably 99% of the time. Every once in a while, I'll play it. Nudleplex is my second least favorite. My three favorites are Arena, Pueblito, and Showtime.

Dumbo is a map that bothers the hell out of me on Occupy specifically. The way people play that map on that mode is dreadfully annoying. Any other mode though and I enjoy it.

I used to hate attica heights during all the test and at launch. And kinda liked Mayday. Now that the games been out for a few months, I dont mind attica heights anymore and I CANNOT STAND Mayday, I hate it more than i hated attica heights when i didnt like it. More often then not the games result in, "oh, they got control of the center plane, guess they won".

Clubhouse and Arena are just meat grinders at this point. You are guaranteed to have a bad time if you aren't echelon or cleaners and are looking to use weapons that aren't the meta. Far too chaotic!

Clubhouse is gonna get dethroned when Rockefeller releases

Attica heights for me is so fun for some reason. You can get some gnarly flanks for occupy and domination.

Clubhouse has grown on me now that I’ve gotten a better feel for it

Arena, Pueblito and Showtime are my top 3. Emporiom, Clubhouse and Attica Heights are my least favourites. The one map i won't play is Attica heights. i back out every time, it's terrible.

I normally don’t agree with your map takes, but you’re pretty spot on here. I would have Echelon HQ and Pueblito higher and Dumbo much lower, but other than that I’d rate most similar to you.

Pueblito, Arena, Mayday, Attica Heights, Clubhouse...I can't stand Dumbo, Emporium, Echelon HQ, I'm not a run and gun type of player, I like to control an area with and LMG (which is different than camping where you just sit in a corner), I can do that with my favorite maps, it's much harder to do on the ones I don't like.

Clubhouse is crazy good. I'm convinced that the people that don't like it are the same people that keep backing out of lobbies until they get Arena and will do the same once Rockefeller will come out 🤣

I have been loving the new map Clubhouse. I can sit in the Clubhouse playlist and just play for a while.

My top 3 are probably Clubhouse, Showtime, and Pueblito, which feel like the most fair maps to me. Hate emporium, because it feels like if you have the mall spawn you're fighting into high ground the entire game. Echelon has grown on me - it's not at all a fun map if you're just running down the middle lane, but it's amazing for playing flanky playstyles.

Clubhouse is an S tier map, though I’m biased as a Siege player. The layout is roughly the same to the point where my map knowledge of siege translates to XDefiant. Domination is a blast

From 1-5, I'd go Pueblito, Nudleplex, Dumbo, Showtime, and Arena. Arena is great as a meat grinder for XP and chaos (Arena 24/7 playlist when?) but I don't think it's a top map in terms of pure gameplay fun like the others. I'm also not quite as high on Clubhouse as you are. It's just good, not great.

I have to admit I played xDefiant a lot for about two weeks and loved it, but haven’t gone back to it since. I don’t know if there’s anything worth reading into that but it seems like there’s not much to the game, even if the gunplay is fun. In terms of the maps, they’re all good for fast paced gameplay imo, but no maps stand out too much. Attica Heights is probably my favourite if I had to pick. Think the game really lacks identity and I think once Black Ops 6 comes out they’ll really struggle to retain a player base.

Echelon HQ is by far my least favorite map

Honestly clubhouse is the last map out of all due to audio issues this map have well the footsteps are wrecked through all maps but on clubhouse is on another level

Mayday is the best map in the game imo

For me it's likely Pueblito, Arena, and Nudleplex for my top 3. Echelon gets an honorable mention, mainly because of all the little hidey holes, and how easy it is to flank A or C with digital ghille suit while people fight over B in domination. Emporium I agree is ass, but another one I really don't like is actually Dumbo, mainly due to the long sniper lines on the outside leading up to the A and C point. People can hard camp your spawn with snipers, which is pretty damn annoying.

Pueblito is numero uno for me!

My worst to best: 11 Bad - Arena - Side kill hell. Chaotic. Just, no. 10 Bad - Nudleplex - Too open. Sucks for snipers, marksman, LMGs, and shotguns. 9 Bad - Attica Heights - Only a little better than Nudleplex. 8 Average - Echelon HQ - Lots of running, horrible flow. 7 Average - Pueblito - Weird sightlines. 6 Good - Clubhouse - In the middle because I'm still on the fence about it. Despite its size there's only one good sniping area around the corner of the exterior rooftop walkway. 5 Good - Liberty - A little open, but most weapons viable. 4 Good - Dumbo - Hated it at first, but it's grown on me. 3 Great - Showtime - My early favorite, but it's a little clunky in places. 2 Great - Emporium - Indoors, outdoors, and multi-levelled in both. Starting to see more people playing the outdoor area, which is good. 1 Best - Mayday - You can make any weapon work on this map. There's even enough cover to get from one end to the other with a shotgun. Another I wasn't fond of at first. Hey, if you like either Shipment 24/7 or Nuketown 24/7, just reverse this list. I think it's insane to like the B Flag area on almost any map, and generally avoid them like the plague. I'm no camper, nor a chicken with my head cut off. I like maps that offer variety for different loadouts and outplaying rather than just outgunning or out-monkey-jumping. XD is good, but has glaring flaws. When I can get match best longshot kill with an SMG, something is wrong. And these maps are no exception. There's a lot left to be desired in most of them. Honestly not fond of most objective areas in this game altogether, so I usually stick to TDM and Hotshot.

This may be unpopular but I absolutely hate arena. There are so many times where I’ll spawn and immediately have the enemy feet away from me. Even the times when I absolutely dominate the map, I still hate it. I just leave when it gets voted

The only thing I don’t like Attica heights is the sun glare on the one side of the map I need the shades perk from WAW

Clubhouse is good coz it's one of the most popular Siege maps. Ofc it's reworked in Xdefiant but since I know the layout of the map already it feels good for me. And somebody open the gym hatch

The only maps I like are Nudleplex, Pueblito and Showtime. The maps I won't play no matter what are Clubhouse and Attica Heights. I played Clubhouse 2 times and those will be the only 2 times they get played. Im a solo TDM only player.

Dumbo is number 1 for me personally I love running Deadsec with proxy mines and a shotgun. Soooo good and normally are able to get a 2+ K/D so easily. Clubhouse is definitely number two for me I had my best game on that map where I dropped an absurd 49 kills on TDM and before you say assist kills I only had maybe 3 of them that match so that is still 46 out of the 100 kills on my team 😅

Mayday is a top 3 map, it is the map that resembles classic cod maps the most i my opinion

Don't hate me, but Mayday just does not float my boat. Just too many snipers you have to avoid, if you are good. My current favourites were Showtime, Echelon HQ and Attica Heights. Those who fall into the Average category are Liberty, Pueblito, Emporium, Nudleplex and Arena. Clubhouse just released recently, so no rating at the moment.

As somone who plays only tdm here's how i would put it: 11-echelon hq. 10-emporium. 9-liberty. 8-attica heights. 7-arena. 6-mayday. 5-pueblito. 4-dumbo. 3-nudleplex. 2-clubhouse. 1-showtime.

Dumbo,clubhouse and arena are so damn good

Sadly clubhouse is a no, also since i dont back out of games due to bo2 days declining from peak, it was best to just stay in lobby if i really wanted to play and not play the waiting game and then get put on the map regardless. Small maps are very nice for a short attention span. Medium to big like emporium or mayday, i try my hardest to stay with the action. But it sucks to suck when you suck in general at fps games so realistically any map is bad when your score is 14-25.

Lol everybody who doesn't like clubhouse are definitely the ones who hated shipment 24/7. The maps are fine for the most part. The spawns really need fixed tho. 90% of the time enemies spawn basically right around the corner.

Mayday is an awful map for snipers who sit in the back.

Clubhouse is the worst map in the game imo. Feels like it’s straight out of MW 2019. Theres 100 lines of sight and angles to get shot from at any moment. I hope they don’t add anymore seige maps, but i know they will. The aesthetic of the map is 10/10 though

I think it’s a good sign that there’s not much of a clear consensus in the community on map rankings. It shows that the map quality is consistent and even the worst maps in the game aren’t too much worse than the best maps.

Making Arena 2 invalidates this entire video lol... hell no... allot of people outright leave the lobby when that crap map shows up.

This game feels like what OG BO2 maps used to feel like. All colorful, fast paced, fun, promote people moving around. They just play so well. I honestly don’t even vote because I enjoy the variety and playing them all! Something interesting I’ve noticed is devs put items in the corners on most of these maps to promote people moving and making it so sitting in a corner doesn’t really work. It’s a neat feature you don’t even notice but speeds up gameplay for everyone.

I genuinely like allll the maps. Echelon and emporium are eh. But still think they're good over all, I just dont care for them personally. What i love about these maps is that you actually have to adapt according to the map. Vector will shred on arena and echelon but you'll struggle on attica heights. Theres SMG/shotgun maps And theres AR/sniper maps

You talk about it a little! I think the game mode has a lot to do with it. I mostly play a mix of dom and occupy. Instinctively I would also put Emporium at the bottom. But where I straight up back out if it is domination, I take the variety when it is occupy. A map like dumbo I often enjoy a lot on DOM, but it is completely another map on occupy, and where I can get 10+ streaks on my double barrel in dom, occupy has several terrible spots that make it terrible to play. Maps like arena and showtime are fun fast paced no matter what, and rank high for that. Nudleplex doesn't rank lowest for me, but its one of the worst for sure. I don't understand what it is everyone likes about it. Pueblito is definetly up there, but again, better in occopy than dom, that B spot can be a real pain. On the other hand, if your team has brains, it is as likely to hold a+c as it is to hold b and one of the other spots. Attica can be fun in domination, but like with mayday there is starting to come a "meta" on how to play it, and it is really dragging down the experience. I used to have a lot of fun interesting games, dropping from the "sky" with firebombs and constantly fighting over B - but I can't remember the last time I had a really fun or good game on Attica.

Pueblito is my favorite by far. Dumbo and Third Echelon are my less favorites but I do enjoy Emporium for medium/long range weapons.

Clubhouse is an automatic skip. Multiple levels, random rooms and an opportunity to die from any direction at any time. No flow, not good for objective and makes no sense in a 6v6 arcade shooter

I actually like mayday a lot, think clubhouse is mid and I almost always have a bad time on nuddleplex😂 I almost always play occupy for reference

Lots of morons saying clubhouse is one of the worst maps in the game. They say it has no flow but it has some of the best flow in the game. There’s so many different ways to move between lanes and it even has great verticality. Haven’t heard one good argument for clubhouse being bad. Anyone hating in this map is essentially outing themselves as bad.

some maps took me a while to warm up to.. they at first felt cramped, as if forcing engagements. once you learned to explore, its almost the total opposite... Echelon HQ, for example, could easily be an 8v8 map.. there is tons of unused space, you NEVER have an engagement in.. so why bother..?? same for Noodleplex,, you seem to end up in top half or bottom half of the map every time.. its big enough for an 8v8.. Mayday is yuge..love it for getting in snipe/,marksmen shots... . SHOULD be an 8v8.. or 10v10.. really like to see some options like a smaller clubhouse with 4 v 4.. and 10v10 squads on the big maps.. some, if you dont play escort, you never see at all. which is a total shame.. we SHOULD have every map available in every mode.. just section them up, if they are just too unwieldy.. but i think the escort maps would make great 10 v 10 maps..

Showtime is absolute buns. I back out when I can and if not I always have a bad time on that map. Maybe for competitive it’s fine but as for tdm (which is mostly what I play) I can’t stand it.

Clubhouse is R6 siege map that probably why most players don’t like it. It’s meant to be a slow pace knock walls down type of map n style R6 siege is not really a game I would take maps from.

Honestly, I can't stand Arena. I'll never understand why people adore maps like it. You get no time to breathe and I've personally never played a map where you have to check behind yourself every time you spawn in. I get it to a degree, it's great for grinding because every game you get like 30-60 kills, but the overall experience is so miserable.

#1 Clubhouse? #6 Liberty? #10 Mayday? This list is awful. Mayday is fantastic. I dunno, i enjoy sniping on it and gives me a reason to use a sniper. Clubhouse is terrible. The audio is trash on that map and i have no way of telling if people are above/below me or on my same level. its so bad for that reason alone.

Emporium is easily the worst, followed by Echelon. Best 3 I enjoy out of the rest are (in no particular order) Nudleplex, Liberty and Pueplito. As for Clubhouse, when I first played it I thought yeah, this is gonna be a good map but now I know its not really. Its not terrible but its defo not that good. As for the other 4 maps, Meltdown,Zoo,Midway and Times Square I think maybe Zoo is best with Midway easliy the worst.

all the half open doors and barriers you have to slide under are getting really really annoying and are to me becoming like the doors in cod , there is just no need for them and they serve no purpose in the game.

I feel like clubhouse is a maze

dumbo and emporium are shit and i thought they couldnt top them and then they released clubhouse which is worse than the other 2 combined and a big part of the problems with clubhouse is the audio as you can hear foot steps but you cant tell who it is or where they are. dumbo to me just doesnt flow well in any game mode. emporium its just too easy to get spawn trapped if you spawn inside and again doesnt flow well in any mode. i have noticed that if any combination of clubhouse , emporium and dumbo are the choices ppl generally vote for a random map and more often than not the third one will be the random map at which point the lobby often explodes and ppl leave. they also need to clearly mark the zones and on echelon when it spawns you halfway down the map its a pain trying to get through all the rooms and paths to your spawn.

Sorry but we need maps that attend to everyones gaming style. Sniping, close quarters, run and gun, exc.

Damn arena that high? Personally its a bottom 3 map for me, nudleplex is a map im mixed on tbh, depends on the gamemode, clubhouse is a based pick tho

Has anyone ever not liked a map, but you don’t know why you really don’t like the map. For me that’s Dumbo. I’m not the best player in the world but I’m not the worst. I’ll have good games and bad games on Dumbo. I just can’t put my finger on why I don’t like the map. I think if Xdefiant were to put in a SnD type mode, Dumbo based on its layout could actually be a pretty good SnD map.

Clubhouse and Dumbo are goated, Attica Heights is terrible, the rest of the maps are good enough but nothing special imo.
