second game did something cod used to do but never does since the strict matchmaking....with two really good players carrying a team, like you said, "instant rivalry." was so fun in prime cod. now if xd can get their lobbies fixed so they don't break-up after every match, could have been a few games you played that guy.
My biggest problem with it is that the whole point of the MDR was designed to be a marksmans rifles, and Ubisoft made it that way in every game EXCEPT XD. Makes me mad honestly
That AR was noticeably bad. The TTK on that thing seems terrible. I think you could have got at least 10-15% more kills in that last game if you were using an SMG.
love your gameplay itemp, been watching you since original mw3 back 10 or so years ago, i just want to say love your videos if you see this comment, also if you shoot a shield inside your ultimate bubble you can break it, your gun in your ult is like an emp at the same time as a shotgun, it can cancel abilities if you shoot them within your bubble, best of luck!

New subscriber here, really have been enjoying your commentary style and of course the top tier gameplay. Also, I kind of like using that gun. It's obviously not the best, but I get bored of using the same three or four guns repeatedly. I wish others felt the same lol, but COD has conditioned people to use the meta gun 24/7.
I feel like it just doesn’t fit anywhere especially when there are SMGs that fit the medium/close range description better and there are ARs that are better than it at long range
13:34 Here i don't think the problem is the weapon, the hitreg is just so bad on XDefiant that 1/3 of my gunfight is loose because of bullets going to the void. That a shame I love this game, but the hit registration, the supremacy of the MP7, the unbalanced class system are a major problem for me :(
The point of a hybrid weapon is to catch others in their disadvantage range. It's a playstyle thing. You mentioned that it's outclassed in the specific ranges (SMG for up close and AR for distance) but what if you are up against an AR up close? Or an SMG at distance? In both of these circumstances, you have the advantage with a hybrid weapon.
If you are up against an AR up close, an SMG will give you a far bigger advantage. It is far easier to control which engagements you take compared to just running around aimlessly hoping the guy you're challenging at range is using an SMG. Chances are he's using a better AR than you are if he's challenging at that range.
Someone hasn't used the m16 apparently. The MDR is crazy good at close to mid range. I got it gold and it's definitely a top 5 gun. But I'm also a PC player so that can make things different.
By being a hybrid - it's a below average AR and a below average SMG. It gets beat out by both at their respectable ranges. That's okay though, not everything needs to be great.
It has more range than all of the smgs and the fastest ttk out of all assault rifles due to the rpm. Maybe I’m just loving the gun right now but I did drop 126 kills with it. I think people just hate having to control the recoil on it.

I don't need to swap to deal with either sweaty MP7 users or meta ACR users because the MDR does it all. Except Juan, so I also find myself using the Tac when there are at least three of them in the lobby. The MDR and Tac will be my first gold. MDR just feels so good.
"the MDR does it all" - it literally does nothing well. There is no good way to use this weapon. Have you used the AK? It's better than this weapon at long/medium and close range.

Not everything has to be about dmg. MDR gives you flexibility. You can plays as if you were using smg and AR. You will be worse than both but you will gain the choice
He’s not bad but he’s not a top player. He’s above average so he’s got some input on things. But yeah he’s got a really bad take here. The MDR is goated. Not sure why he thinks an AK out TTKs this gun when you can literally test the damage values and see that this gun has a faster ttk. It’s literally an smg with AR range. Dude is buggin.
