HMK, why is the x-blade have two kingdom keys? This makes me think that the kingdom key is a special key. And if this is true what makes it special, and why was Riku going to wield it? Same goes with Sora.

I like the "keyblades have hearts" idea. I've actually heard something similar that maybe their "hearts" are contained in their keychains. I noticed the keyblades in the keyblade graveyard all seem to be missing their keychains. Maybe that's where the keychains come into play where the chain allows another keyblade to take on the form of a fallen keyblade from the graveyard by replacing the "default" keychain with the heart of another.

Interesting theory HMK. I have a theory that in kingdom hearts 3, kingdom hearts will be unlocked and all the deceased keyblade warriors will return from the grave. Also I think the keyblade changes shape based on the wielder's personality. #HMK #Kingdomhearts3

HMK, I would like you to think about a theory I have ever since I've seen what the "X-Blade" looks like. People have been saying "the Keyblade shapes itself into what the wielder's heart's condition. Riku, for example, is both dark and light because he chose the way to dawn. But Sora's Keyblade is just a Kingdom Key, or a Default. In my theory, it is actually half of the "X-Blade" and really Ventus' Keyblade, just in its true form. Since Sora holds Ventus' heart, making Sora a Keyblade wielder, he can wield one, but not his heart's form. In a short version: Sora's Keyblade is half of the X- Blade since Ventus is within Sora and holds Ventus' half of his true form. If you can't understand fully of what I am trying to say, I will try to word it correctly in another video or reply. Please consider this theory. In one of your theory videos.

Maybe the key chains exist in multiple places because those three are connected by Aqua's good luck charms. And as well deeply connected in Sora's heart like everyone else.

but even Sora doesn't know. He only knew that because of the vision Kairi gave him earleir in the game when Kairi's grandma was talking to her about her favorite story.

Didn't someone say that Nobodies grew hearts overtime or something? That Xemnas lied to his "friends" about them not having hearts and they cannot feel?
@HMK
@HMK 10 лет назад
Actually that wouldn't work as the Kingdom Key and Wayward are 2 different separate Keyblades and that is how He duel-wields. Also with the scope what you trying to say about the Kingdom Key and the X-Blade that would mean they would have some sort of pre-existing relationship and that cannot be as the X-blade is the original Keyblade and when it shattered it didn't shatter into other keyblades or the sort, just into 13 pieces of Darkness and 7 pieces of Light, that apparently can be brought about but multiple means.
@HMK
@HMK 10 лет назад
That can be a possibility but in a future video I'm going to elaborate on their relationship

I have a theory on why the heartless (or rather the heartless, nobodies, unversed, nightmare dream eaters, or any other dark amorphous beings of darkness) are hunting those with the keyblade. because dark forces hunt for hearts, they take hearts of every shape or form, whether it be a heart in a being, world, keyblade, etc. As for how one can obtain a keyblade, you can also create a man made keyblade and imbue it with some sort of spell that let's you have the capablilties of the keyblades we know today.
@PhantomBones101

I always figured keyblades were similar to power rings like the green lanterns use. Maybe the keyblades that are used after the war came from thw Keyblade Graveyard and only activate and seek wielders with strong hearts, certain amount of control over the light and dark, and of course show their worth in the face of danger whether being threatened by the light or darkness. Which would explain why a person of the dark can use the keyblade for evil. Maybe the keyblades are the type of weapons that take no sides in the conflict between light and dark and only seek those with strong ties to either side.

I thought Riku only had one keyblade? Soul Eater was a sword, and Way to the Dawn is his actual keyblade. But yeah, I guess that could tie in to how Sora's heart is shaped by those he meets (and that's how his keyblade can change from the keychains in each world)!

***** Sora's best friend and rival, he wields the Way to the Dawn Keyblade, though in Kingdom Hearts he briefly took possession of Sora's Kingdom Key. In Kingdom Hearts, he stayed behind with King Mickey in the Realm of Darkness. In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, he explores the basement of Castle Oblivion and struggles in resisting the darkness in his heart, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, while in Kingdom Hearts II, he helped Sora defeat Xemnas. In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts, he used the Soul Eater as his main weapon until it transformed into the Way to the Dawn Keyblade.

***** Pretty sure SE appearing in DDD is another reference to how Sora and Riku went back to a time when they knew nothing about the keyblade (hence why they look younger than they do in KH2) But if my understanding is right, just because they're going through a mark of mastery exam doesn't strip away the abilities they've gained so far. I think Sora should still be able to take out Oathkeeper/two become one at that point, but he never did, because the exam forced them to learn everything from the very beginning.

One thing since you mentioned that keyblades have hearts, what if ....the fortellers hearts in a final effort to survive found their way into the keyblades of Terra,Aqua,Ventus,Riku and Kairi the supposed reincarnations of these fortellers possibly meaning that they are still trying to fighting against all the evil that is trying to conquer the light through their supposed reincarnations im not sure about Sora though.

This is actually pretty interesting, and the sentience of the Keyblade is something I hadn't given a ton of thought. However, Concerning the veil of mystery over the keys of Xehanort and Eraqus, wasn't it said that those two were trained together by Yen Sid? Could they not have simply gotten their keys from him? Also, Xehanort gave up his body to time travel back to see his older self and tell him of the plans mentioned in 3D. Could he maybe have given it to himself in some weird time paradox thing? Hopefully, since KH3 will mark the end of Xehanort's saga, it delves deeper into his origin story, but there's a lot of ideas that might explain how he obtained the Keyblade.

I think a keyblade is only a part of the welder's heart this might explain why you get a keyblade/chain after every world you complete. With Sora he has had so many adventures even ones that aren't him physically, he has touched so many people's hearts and helped them too but also helped his friend Riku who was lost in darkness Sora's heart is very strong but as he said his 'friends are his power' and every world he went to he has made a lot and it gives him more power to change the keyblade this happened to all the keybladers but one Riku who's only keyblade change is into 'way to dawn' we know Riku hasn't been to friendly either until KH2.

i have a question. wasn't it said in the first kingdom hearts game that the keyblade was the only weapon that can hurt the heartless. if this was the case how can the final fantasy characters, disney characters, and virtually any character without a keyblade be able to fight the heartless. when on destiny islands when it was almost destroyed you couldn't do anything to the heartless with your wooden sword until you got the keyblade. but when you reach hollow bastion and had the keyblade taken away and was replaced with the same wooden sword you could then hurt even more advanced heartless only a little bit. even characters like beast and tifa and fight back against heartless with their bear hands. am i missing something. also magic can be used which bring a question if magic has a relation to the keyblades power or is it a separate entity all together since others use magic to yet can still hurt heartless regardless of it previously being said that the keyblade was the only weapon against the heartless (unless i am missing something).

lunerblade13 The Keyblade releases the hearts of the heartless. Other weapons can't do that. When Cloud killed a heartless it was weaken, but later on completely restored. Thats why the worlds resisted the heartless that long. They weren't able to defeat them, but weak them so that they got more time to protect their worlds

Great theory, now here are my thoughts: the first keyblades were man made (after the X-blade), some "died" at the keyblade graveyard, the others lived on (since Nomura said "there are as many keyblades as there are strong hearts", maybe they found a way to duplicate themselves or something) and now they only lend their strength to those they deem worthy. I believe the keyblades link themselves to one's heart (this explains why they prefer strong hearts and keep changing shapes, why there's one keyblade per heart, and why they follow their master's heart even in another body). But this is just a theory ... whatever. And you're mistaken on something: young Xehanort has no keyblade of his own (he uses ethereal blades). He gained a keyblade at that time because being a vessel, Xehanort could possess him (the old man wasn't fully materialized yet) and the keyblade was different due to the heart being different (but somewhat the same). I believe his master (and Eraqus') was the one to perform the ritual on him and get him out of the islands.

At this point Terra was a Master in the eyes of Master Xehanort. He repeatedly refers to Terra as Master Terra. Although he isn't a Master in a traditional sense this acknowledgement from Xehanort may have been enough for his heart.

Wait a second, does this mean that the characters of TWEWY could actually end up wielding Keyblades? Their world is now connected with Kingdom Hearts, and Neku/Joshua are similar to Riku, as Beat is similar to Sora/Terra, and Rhyme/Shiki are similar to Kairi/Aqua. Having the TWEWY cast team up with the KH cast would be more than freaking amazing, if I do say so myself.

This theory really makes sense. HMK I have a few questions. If there are keyblades of light & darkness, is it possible for there to be keyblades of in between for example nothingness, twilight ( dawn & dusk)? And also is the X-blade technically a keyblade of heart? Because it is the counter part of kingdom hearts? Lastly do you think the X-blade would work on the kingdom hearts in birth by sleep that xehanort created from the hearts of worlds & the kingdom hearts in kingdom hearts 2 that xemnas created from the hearts of people or not because they're both "artificial"?

What if the Foretellers have built the original keyblade? What if the Heartless were actually previous, long forgotten keyblade wielders actually seeking their proper use of their own keyblades and seeking for true bodies of their own? Think the message SOS from the Kingdom Hearts 3 announcement trailer shown at E3.

Who's to say Sora can't just naturally use a keyblade? His dual wielding skill is because of Ventus but where does the ability to initially wield one come from. Two theories the heart fusion acted as an inheritance ceremony just not in the traditional sense. Or Sora can just wield keyblades after all the kingdom key as well as Ventus's keyblade as well as Riku's second keyblade can all be used by Sora naturally and just as good as the original wielder if not better. It also explains his ability to pick up the master seeker even though he isn't a master. The first one is more plausible because who is to say the inheritance thing can't be done multiple ways.

I know this is a long shot but you know how HMK said keyblades had hearts? What if a character ended up turning into a keyblade by giving up their heart. For example master eraqus or Xion. Maybe Master Eraqus transfered his heart into his keyblade which Aqua carries so he could rest like Ventus. This is probably wrong but its just a theory :-D

I believe that A strong heart is required to hold a keyblade... BUT many people have strong hearts in kh universe. Perhaps the person WITH a strong heart needs some extra attributes, for example; a strong will (-to leave your homeworld? Like sora, kairi, riku & xehanort), believing that there are other worlds and the WILL to look after them. Maybe the keyblade watches over those that pass through worlds, to protect the person..... Just a theory that crossed my mind

actually Axel is the nobody of Ria. kingdom hearts, i believe at one point went on a speech about how hearts or even all hearts are connected. so it might also be possible for one to obtain a keyblade simply by having strong ties with a keyblade wielder and if keyblades where once people or they are some sort of fragment of one or many past wielders than surely in their history many keyblades would have served alongside one another. so when the ally of the wielder is in enough distress perhaps the blade could call out to a former ally or the past ally could sense the danger itself. kinda like a symbiotic hive mind.

I think Sora's keyblade is the x-blade and that it was forged when ventus and vanitas fought. Xehanort only thought he failed. This was then passed to Sora through ventus. I also think its the only keyblade to choose its master. You'll notice its the only one we see rebel against its master and you'll notice that Terra's keyblade doesn't care when he chooses darkness. You'll also notice in the keyblade graveyard xehanort sends an entire typhoon of keyblades at terra, but those keyblades may simply be "dead" or something.

@NickRyanBayon
@NickRyanBayon 9 лет назад
I believe that keyblades are manifestations of the will of someone's heart, for example riku's keyblade the way to dawn is a manifestation of his will to find a path to light while accepting darkness, the forms of the keyblade can change because of the will of the weirder and focus for example sora can change his to many forms like oath keeper because of his memory and will to complete his promise to kiari which is pure thus making it's form stem of light because of the purity of this desire. Keyblades are united to the hearts of their master and may even have a heart themselves xehanort says they were United to the heart of their masters which would explain why those with hearts get them because a heart gives you the ability to have a will even roxas who was a nobody had a heart and a will strong enough to wield one. Vanitas explains the X-blade was forged of ventus' heart to and if he destroyed it be would lose his heart also, if the keyblades are forged in appearance of this grand key then they to are possibly bonded to the hearts of their master in this way.

nomura said once that light and dark keyblades only differ on the outside appearance; that their internal makeup is the exact same. so that got me thinking and i don't think having a darkness keyblade makes you "evil" or a light keyblade makes you "good" *cough* eraqus tried to kill ventus *cough*. if darkness were only evil, then how come riku and lea still use it and still fight for the "good guys"? and the way the story has played out for me is that darkness keyblades go to people with lots of self ambition, which isn't INHERENTLY bad at all. the whole reason darkness is viewed as bad right now is because of one out of probably a handful of darkness keyblade wielders. light keyblades, on the other hand, are for those who only care about helping the general populace, with little to no motivation other than helping people, like by balancing light and darkness or fighting heartless. in other words, darkness is for the emotional/ambitious and light is for the "protectors".

AJENTx SPACELY It would look like the Keyblade of Hearts (the keyblade Sora used to free Kairi's heart, and turned himself into a heartless). It's the only keyblade without a keychain in the series, I think. c:
@leiyx6096
@leiyx6096 10 лет назад
***** Xion's keyblade was fake too, but it had a keychain. After some thought I came up with a theory so uh, sorry for all the words: As other people have theorized, Keyblades are some kind of embodiment of the heart. Keychains can be used as a metaphor to a change of heart, or the heart being shaped by experiences. (Main characters' keyblades all have something to do with their experiences, or "strengths") The keyblade of heart can't change shape, hence no hole/clasp for a keychain to hook on to in the first place. This is because this keyblade was not meant for any wielder. (Or another reason, going with ***** 's theory, would be that although it's made OF hearts, it doesn't follow A heart) The keyblades at the keyblade graveyard also have no keychain (jk about my last post I totally didn't google this just now) because these keyblades are not following a heart. They are not sentient, and kind of dead in way. Lingering will also ties into this because it doesn't have a heart, it's just armour. In short: Keychains shape the keyblade, just as experiences shape the heart. So in *summary* AJENTx SPACELY after more thought-out explanation is that a keyblade without a keychain would look like what it did with the last keychain attached to it. None of us expect Sora's keyblade to change to something we haven't seen before if we ever see him in the middle of equipping a different one, right?
@leiyx6096
@leiyx6096 10 лет назад
o_e that was lengthy. It would also explain why Square decided to make Roxas change his keyblade shape using "gears" rather than keychains like Sora because they wanted to go with the whole "nobodies have no heart thing", which is also why Roxas' game over screen never has a heart floating above him.

I'm not sure if anyone has answered this question yet, but why does Riku ask Sora why he (Sora) has the keyblade, when he (Riku) has one? "Why, why do YOU have the Keyblade?" Wasn't Soul Eater a Keyblade?
@aaronpegany
@aaronpegany 10 лет назад
There are mixed opinions about this, but I don't believe that soul eater was a keyblade, for the simple fact that, unlike all other keyblades, this one does not have a keychain. I think soul eater does eventually become way to the dawn, which is Riku's keyblade.

***** I actually got confused, I didn't mean to say that, I was actually referring to KH1/Chain of Memories, where Riku actually HAD Soul Eater. One of the reasons was because he wanted to get the Keyblade for Maleficent. I'm just asking why Soul Eater isn't a Keyblade lol. There are actually parts in KH1 where Riku questions why Sora has the Keyblade, and he doesn't, and that's why I was wondering. How does Soul Eater turn into Way to the Dawn, a Keyblade, when Soul Eater wasn't a Keyblade in the first place? Way to the Dawn is a Keyblade of Darkness, like Xehanort's (there are Light and Darkness Keyblades, right?). Did Riku just have more Darkness in his heart, or less? I don't see how a blade can just "turn" into a Keyblade.

okay i have a question. are you claiming we see young xehanort on destiny island because that was HIS homeworld? i am asking because you speculated here that it could be inherited by being a descendant of a keyblade wielder. i would then like to pose the idea that riku is a keyblade wielder for more than one reason. Yes he went through the ritual, the most official means of receiving a keyblade. But as you yourself have noted riku shares a lot of striking resemblances with xehanort and therefore tried to theorize he might be xehanort but i think it is more likely that he is a descendant of xehanort

Sora did get Riku's Keyblade, and it chose him over it's apparent master. They were both going to get one eventually, but since Sora got Riku's, Riku needed another method to getting one, and his sword, Soul Eater, somehow became the base. I don't know how that works, though.

What about Mickey then? The Keyblade D is clearly a Keyblade of darkness. So why then does it willing allow Mickey's heart of light to wield it? If the Keyblades are drawn to hearts similar of their own then why is this own different? It would make more sense that Keyblads are drawn to power rather then light and darkness. It would make sense as to why Mickey a being with a heart of light intentions could wield a Keyblade of a dark past.
@godsplayingfield
@godsplayingfield 9 лет назад
your comment is old but i thought i'd give my idea. i believe the Kingdom Key D wishes for balance of light and dark, like Mickey does. Sora and co, including Mickey, have stated they "dont hate the darkness, but the ones lurking within it" or something to that effect (they say it to Xemnas in KH2) and maybe the KKD feels those like Xehanort and such are a danger to the darkness itself and works with Mickey to destroy those that threaten the darkness and balance of light and dark. cause if one goes, the other will mostly likely follow into nothingness so even if it is a dark key, it will follow one of light as long as it feels that their goals are the same. maybe when it feels the darkness is safe once more or that Mickey is becoming a threat to light, it will leave him for a new master or to just hide away until it's needed again. well thats my theory anyway, sorry for ranting though.

First off, to correct a mistake that you made, Young Xehanort in DDD was actually from before he had a Keyblade, the reason that he had a Keyblade in his fight was because he was being possessed by Master Xehanort. Also, I'm pretty sure that Lea got his Keyblade because either Yen Sid or Mikey preformed the inheritance ceremony on him. Other than that, great video.
@HMK
@HMK 10 лет назад
He wasn't possessed by Master Xehanort, Master Xehanort didn't have contact with him at any point, Ansem SOD is who gave him the task for DDD, if MX was possessing him he would have had MX's Keyblade. Also With the inheritance ceremony, The person doesn't get their Keyblade for YEARS, if Yen Sid or Mickey performed the ceremony on him, they wouldn't be surprised in DDD

The whole point of Stopza is too keep MX from showing up completely. Also once again, if it was MX, it would have his Keyblade, furthermore a Soul doesn't grant a Keyblade a Heart does.

There are also too many contradicting points in this that just doesn't make sense in itself or to the series. I'm going to take this into account but hold with a grain of salt as Nomura contradicts himself alot in interviews and the validity of this seems shady. I'll wait until something like this appears in an ultimania or such before I state a retraction. Not writing this off, but I need something more solid than this.

in the original Kingdom Hearts game, it was a pretty simple concept. Sora was chosen simply because his heart was strong and full of light. However, when a the other games came out especially BBS and DDD, it kind of watered down that original concept I liked. Hence DDD may be one of least favorite games because of that mark of mastery bull. It reminded me too much of stereotypical Japanese anime high school concepts (Naruto, Soul Eater, ext.). It just ruined it for me a tad bit.
@nopeace3689
@nopeace3689 6 лет назад
I believe there are two types of Keyblade wielders those who go through the ritual and those who have a heart so strong that the keyblade leave current welder and decides to go with them instead In fact we seen this with Riku remember sora's keyblade was originally riku's but because he chose to allow his heart to be pulled into darkness and sora showed that he had the stronger heart the keyblade chose him instead.however because we could did go through the Riku he ended up having another Keyblade. Also kairi can go to keyblade because she touched the hilt of Aquas Keyblade. This is further confirmed when you look at xemnas and Roxas because Roxas still has light within him from Ventus and Sora isn't a heartless he's able to wield a keyblade compared to xemnas his heartless is consumed by Darkness and he also is consumed by Darkness which is why he cannot will the Keyblade. At least the ones that we are familiar with all of which even xehanort's keyblade is made from light the only keyblade that is made from darkness in the series that we know of is Mickey's Keyblade

I have a question, why doesn't Xemnas have a keyblade? And before you say "He has no heart, which is required to wield a keyblade" let me remind you of this, Roxas can wield a keyblade due to the fact that he has a heart, most likely because his "somebody" had the hearts of two people within him, himself and Ventus. The same can be said for Xemnas, it might not have been under the same circumstances, but he is still the nobody of apprentice Xehanort, who had both the heart of Master Xehanort and Terra within him, two keyblade wielders, just like Roxas. So now that we know that the same circumstances for which Roxas despite being a nobody can wield a keyblade and have a heart, why doesn't the same apply for Xemnas? And if I'm correct, the reason why Braig agreed to house part of Xehanort's heart within him was because he desired to wield a keyblade, and if Xemnas, as one of the members of the 13 seekers of darkness also has a fragment of Xehanort's heart within him, shouldn't the same rule with obtaining a keyblade apply, I asked this question on a previous video, and one of the replies was that his ethereal blades are corrupted keyblades of some sort, this would make sense as there are two of them and Xemnas should have two keyblades, but I've debunked this theory due to the fact that in BBS Young Xehanort also uses the ethereal blades, so I again ask this question, where is Xemnas' keyblade? It could be some major thing of plot all leading up to KH3, or just really horribly planned storytelling. Someone also replied that he just refused to use it, why the hell would he do that? He needed hearts for Kingdom Hearts, didn't he? So why not speed it up by jumping into the fray of Roxas, Xion, and later Sora, in defeating emblem heartless with his own keyblade, which he would likely be more talented with than any of the above due to having possession of the weapon for a longer period of time. Now I ask that you please take the time to like this comment, but only for the purpose that this reaches HMK himself, who is likely much more knowledgeable on the series than I am, so we can get his input on the subject? HMK, if you're reading this could you please make a theory video on why Xemnas doesn't have a keyblade?

@ronneemazukin
@ronneemazukin 9 лет назад
TeamOrange Well I have two possible theories. I also have a feeling that both theories could be in effect. Theory 1: Xenahort after his battles with Lingering Will and Aqua resulted in him losing his memories. Xemnas came after it, meaning he may not have knowledge that he is capable of wielding a keyblade, much less dual wielding. I know Braig should know, but from what I seen in movies of BBS and Dram Drop Distance Braig didn't seem convinced (although this is just my opinion) that Xenahort-Terra lost his memories and was just putting up a charade. Even if he was convinced or eventually convinced I doubt he wouldn't say anything as he would find it interesting to just let things unfold on their own. He always seem liked he was always amused how things were unfolding. The only problem with this theory is memories may not be all that important in wielding a keyblade as Xemnas could always accidentally summon one, which is unlikely because he doesn't seem to ever be around heartless or anything that will probable call forth the rage of the keyblade.Theory 2 Terra and Eraquis is suppressing Xenahort-Terra power to use the keyblade, which would effects Xemnas as well. Both of these theories could easily be combined to clear up some of the plot holes of why he never used one. Theory one would provide the reasoning why he never attempted to summon one, because he forgot he could. Theory 2 would provide evidence why he never accidentally summoned it or was unable to summon it in 3D when he got clued in on Xenahort big plans. That sounds about the best theory I could come up with that would make at least an ounce bit of sense of why Xemnas never wielded a keyblade or dual wield.

This video is just full a wrong facts Nomura has confirmed that in order to wield the keyblade you must first undergo the Inheritance Ceremony which gives you the ability to wield the keyblade. From there the keyblades must deem you worthy and choose you as it's wielder. This is the only means to obtain a keyblades and the only exception is Sora who Nomura confirmed did not inherit anything from anyone. Ventus is not the reason Sora can wield a keyblade he is the reason he can dual wield.

Xion's keyblades was an imitation it wasn't real. It was able to function like a real one because Xion was siphoning power from Roxas. As for Roxas he was using Sora's keyblade. Roxas and Sora were sharing Sora's keyblade for the entirety of his existence. It was an ability granted to him due to his status as a Keyblade wielders Nobody. In short Roxas could wield one because Sora could. Read the interviews.

I did read them and then you should know that actually Roxas has his OWN Keyblade as Sora and Roxas were both awake and using them in tandem during the events of 358/2 Days and COM, even the through the end of KH1, with the proof of Xemnas. Many interviews and the ultimanias even state that Roxas has his own Keyblade as Sora's Nobody. What it sounds like if you read 1 or 2 interviews, maybe some fake ones and think you know facts on Kingdom Hearts.

El oh el. Ventus isn't the reason Sora can wield a keyblade..not anymore anyways. After the events of the first kingdom hearts, Sora prooves how strong his heart is and inherits a keyblade of his own as a result. The keyblade legitimately choses Sora as it's new master at this point. The only influence Ventus has on Sora's keyblade capabilities as of right now is Sora's dual wielding. When sora dual wields he possesses Ventus' keyblade along with his own. Once Ven awakens, Sora will lose his dual wielding abilities.
