Awesome video, I just got one! I just wanted to point out that you can use the USB-C to USB-C cable for both video & pen data, so there's no need to also plug in the HDMI or DisplaPort cables (otherwise it will trick your computer into thinking you're using two pen tablets at the same time). The HDMI or DisplayPort Cables are only necessary if you're using the USB-C to USB-A cable for pen data.
Hey Anthony. Great review! I'll be receiving a Xencelab 24 next week. I've been using a Cintiq 22 pro touch for about 2 weeks, and I can't stand the fan noise. Also the Cintiq screen seems soft and my eyes struggle to focus on it. I don't use the touch feature on the Cintiq because it doesn't actually work intuitively on MacOS compared to an iPad Pro. So I really don't use it. I'm looking forward to comparing the Xencelabs 24 to the Cintiq 22 pro. I'll leave my reaction here in the comments. Cheers.
Thank you for the review. I'm planning to get this one as an upgrade from my Wacom Cintiq16. I love wacom product, but the Cintiq16 feels underspec for me, while the pro line is the opposite, overspec and yes, expensive, not overprice, but it is expensive. Now Xencelabs comes with the size and all the features that I need and also with a great price. I just need user review to convince me. And thanks to you I think I'm going to get it very soon.
Hi, I am a student studying and practicing Maya software. I am currently in the modeling phase. Can you please explain how to model a car? I mean, what are the steps and requirements for creating a car model for perfect rigging and animation? 🙏
I just set mine up and running into an annoying behavior quirk. It appears that the pen button "clicks" only register reliably if the tip of your stylus is a few mm off the surface of the screen, MUCH closer than the range needed for the pen's cursor to activate. This makes is almost impossible to do navigation in programs that rely on holding RMB or MMB to pan/zoom/rotate the view. My hope is that I've received a bad unit that can be replaced since I LOVE this thing aside from this deal-breaker problem. I've made a couple of videos that demonstrate the issue but it appears any comment with vimeo links gets deleted.
A huge display like this really ought to have touch functionality. I'm spoiled by the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra and wouldn't be able to go back to a pen display omitting touch. No matter how good it is. No touch no joy for me.
