I'm on team Biden. Xenoblade 2 was kinda mid for me, and I had to drink to finish it. The DLC was fire, but the main game had a good story and nothing else! After Tantal, Zeke, and Morag get pushed off to the side for the rest of the game. If they weren't party members, I would have forgotten about them.
Well, it's far better than Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I will agree with that. It's still not as good as the first, but a worthy follow-up nonetheless. I'll pop that game in anytime and enjoy myself. I had to drink to finish Xenoblade 2 it was that bad, but I look back on it fondly.
I actually wanted to do the side quests in Xeno 1. I didn't want to do the side quests in Xeno 2 bc they were annoying and tedious with all the field/skill checks. Not to mention the gacha mechanic. But the combat in 2 I feel is a bit superior with the arts cancelling mechanic. If 2 didn't have the gacha mechanic and instead had reasonable progression for the skills, it'd be the clear victor, but as it is, I could take it or leave it.
The one time joe biden is correct on something xenopeak 1 is better than Midblade 2 and I stand on bidness with this one because midblade 2 by the community at large was lowkey a disappointment.
Xenoblade 2 is fire and too many people get hung up the anime bits. You can do some INSANE finishers. Though I like all 3 (haven't played X or the og xeno gears though)
Ay bro xc2 is amazing (Xc3 spoilers) I'm am also not sure what to think about Rex being a Father to 3 separate kids with 3 wives. Part of me doesn't like that 😅
Sanders is something of a Xenoblade 3 fan himself. Obama is a Xenoblade X fan. G.W. Bush is a Xenosaga Episode III fan. Clinton is a Xenosaga Episode II fan. G.H.W. Bush is a Xenosaga Episode I fan. Reagan is a Xenogears fan. Carter is a Chrono Cross fan. Ford was a Chrono Trigger fan.
Riki being good was the most based thing Trump has ever said… albeit a low bar preceded it, but even if Bernie said it, it would be a top 10 Bernie takes.
Yeah nah I love Xenoblade 2 but Xenoblade 1 trumps it by a mile. Annoying protagonist in Rex, mid english voices, sure the different characters get arcs but those are ultimately mostly sidetracking from the central plot, most of the biggest reveals are honestly not as surprising when you've already played XC1... The world is still gorgeous in 2, best of the 3c but to me the characters and lack of focus in the plot drag it down
XC1 has a better story, XC2 has better characters, and XC3 is the undisputed goat because it’s story is perfect and the characters are on par if not better than XC2, and I have very strong opinions on every aspect in the series.
All Xenoblade games are amazing but if I have to choose my tier is like this (taking both story/characters and gameplay into account): 1 > Torna > 3 > FR > 2 > FC
There is a lot of shit that the first game do better.. "TUTORIALS" first game definitely has the better written story. Better ending and final boss fight... The second game is not better then the first..
I’ve never played the game but really want to , I would like to know if I can play the 3 rd one right away or do I have to play it in chronological order.(thanks in advance)
I would highly recommend starting off with either the first or 2nd game then play the vice versa then lastly 3. The 3rd game encompasses a lot things from the first 2 games so you'll get more of a kick out of it playing the other 2 games first
XC1 has good characters, but they require considerably more digging to notice their arcs and how they are growing as people, whereas in XC2 it is front and center for most of the plot. I have the emotional analysis skills of an autistic goldfish so I prefer 2's characters, but after doing some extra research after the credits of the first game I was able to appreciate it's cast more. Issue is, because I've gotten into that mindset, I've been looking for deep character growth while playing X, which has exceedingly little of that and now I feel like an English teacher overanalyzing the text.
Biden is actually spitting fire right now. Compared with each other, Xenoblade 1 has everything over Xenoblade 2. Actually, the latter is pretty mid. Side quests suck (im looking at you two, Ursula and Nameless Sentinel), Blade summoning is a bad gotcha system with no pity after 3 free blades, which one of them sucks (Looking at you three, Godfrey, Elecrta, and Finch (but definitely you Finch! You stupid, f***ing bird!)), characters are fleshed out for one chapter than fade into irrelevantcy, villains are okay, but get praised right after they die? Jin did not deserve praice after what he had done. And field checks, halting progression for no god damn reason! Xenoblade 1 never had these issues. Quests still suck, but at least they are fun and involved. Not one is too difficult, and fun stories can be made with them, like the fireworks with Seasame in Colony 9, or with helping Diseeŕe with her career, granting Shulk his 4th skill tree. The whole world is your oyster from the very beginning. The only "field check" is the magma stone, but that makes sense in the context of what you use it for. And every character is great with wonderful arcs. Shulk, having lost his best friend to Mechon, vows to kill them all until he finds Homs inside of them, wanting then to find answers. Reyn finds himself kicking up the rear but has Sharla there to keep him in check, and in the same way, Sharla has Reyn there to take good care of her, even without Gadolt. Dunban doesn't waste time and comes to Shulk and Reyn without feeling 100%, just because he can. He has a tactical approach to everything and acts as the general of the group. Melia is just a sad story. Unrequited love, tword Shulk, and tasked with leading a whole race of people that dont exist anymore, and having her own father die in her arms right after she realized her father, Sorean, really did care about her. Riki is Heropon and best dad. His talk with Dunban on the beach is reason to like him enough. And Fiora is amazing. Shulks childhood friend turned into what he vowed to destroy, now finding a way to get her body back, eventually finding a way in a removed cutscene! Xenoblade Chronicles 1 is a perfect game.
The fact that I had that much to say about that game just sums up all my feelings toward it except I did leave out the part where I was going to say I did love the game, but because I love it I was going to be more critical about it than most.
@MegaZard_X I could have made is longer, but I didn't want to waste too many people's time on why Xenoblade 2 wasn't as good. It's not bad, far from it, and a lot of my point are nitpicks, but it's nitpicks that stop me from liking it more. How it took an AI Donald Trump for me to say all that is a question I don't have an answer for.
