The playable Nopon in this game is similar to Xenoblade X's Tora. Seems like Vanderkam/Vandham will not be the only character to have spiritual succesors across multiple Xeno's titles.

I really hope the party members yell out stupid and entertaining stuff during battles and have good banter. That's one of those things that just makes me love Xenoblade even more.

Israel Comics don't want to disapoint you but it isn't 100% confirmed for a 2017 release i mean look at kingdom hearts 3 since 2014 i think has gotten delay after delay after delay but hey nintendo isn't square and the most time they took to do a game i think were 4 years and a half with breath of the wild so I hope xenoblade 2 isn't delayed (oh yeah and a xenoblade chronicles hd doesn't hurt eighter nintendo c'mon we know it's possible)

Pralenka Well they seem very confident that they will release it in 2017, and the game looks pretty done, and about the Xenoblade Chronicles HD remake, man.... I would LOVE to have an HD remake of that game!, I love that game, everything is beautiful but the graphics, and I know graphic are not the most important thing but they make the game more enjoyable, so yeah I hope they don't delay the game and I hope we can get a Xenoblade Chronicles HD remake for the switch :)

Comparing this to the final product, I noticed a lot of changes. The UI is different and most of the features are changed. What I noticed especially is the specials. I noticed when invoking nias and toras lvl 3 special, their animation is the lvl 4 special, something that is only exclusive when you play as their character or full burst chain attack.

or adds a Superboss (Metal Face or someone) that drops a crystal that has Shulk and one Monado or the other. Maybe it changes based on how high-level your arts are? Going from Monado I, to II to III.

Yeah definetely i mean this is a direct sequel to the original meaning it has to have some connection right if shulk doesnt appear in the story which i am fairly certain he will i hope even with or without him in the story he is a blade it would make sense right pyra is my waifu dont get me wrong and i love rex's sword clearly inspired by the monado but even if it requires the shulk amiibo shulk has to be a blade it would be so awesome for rex to wield the monado while shulk is shouting. IM REALLY FEELING IT and then for your power up ability like when pyra makes fire shulk could totally grab the monado and use monado buster or something that has to be in the game and shulk is probably the architech i need this game i have to see sexy grown up shulk :😜😋😍😍😍

Xenoblade Chronicles X was one of the hugest, most beautiful, badass RPG I've ever played. And it wasn't even a numbered entry in the series. Monolithsoft is a mazing.

X and the original are pretty different. X is definitely more badass and more visually impressive. The original had better storytelling, and each character felt more unique from one another (gameplay wise). Can't say much about the "quality" of the characters because you spent a lot less time with the X characters, and the side missions and heart-to-hearts don't make them justice. That said, Valak Mountains is my favorite place from the 2 games, specially on sunset.

Overall, I think I will really enjoy this game. The combat looks like it will get much more crazy as you learn all of the mechanics. However, I wish arts were available at the start of battle... I'm gonna miss sneaking up behind an enemy for a surprise backslash (or this game's equivalent).

this is the type of game that doesn't need amazing/realistic graphics to be good. The game knows what it's supposed to be and embraces that, and that's something Xenoblade 1 did extremely well. Doesn't look perfect, but I really want to play this game, I think I will have a great time with it

It looks waaaay less complex than Chronicles X and more like the first game. Which is imo a good thing! And they apparently increased the font size which was my biggest complaint about X.

I don't think it will be less complex than X. It will just be presented better than X and XC, more clear and intitive. Yet, the whole thing with the blades, and arts, and use of the auto-attack getting more importance, the special moves, the team moves and on and on. Pretty sure it will be very deep. Otherwise it would actually be a step down from everything X achieved.

Divise two It's still complex. They have switching between blades with different arts while also having the same break-topple-daze mechanic with combos for other things as well. The battle system doesn't look less complex. It is just much easoer to grasp and is far more streamlined which is a good thing.

when i think of the @ least 400 hours i put into xenogears/xenosaga/xenoblade/xenoblade chronicles x i am grateful that after all these years Tetsuya Takahashi and his team still care enough to bring more to the xeno world even when squaresoft didn't there is very few games now that i am older that i can say i truly had fun playing so yea i just wanted to say THANK YOU Tetsuya Takahashi and your team for all the hard work you have put in over the years

Okay but I lowkey feel like the Blades would be better if they disappeared during battle. Having six characters onscreen running around is a bit hectic. It'd be better for the player and probably for the game's performance if the Blades entered the Aegis as battle begins, and then reappeared for their special abilities.

Feel like it would be really smart if they packaged Xenoblade 1 and 2 together the way they did with Bayonetta. It would encourage those new to the franchise to try it out. That being said, I understand that would require porting and what not. Just a thought.

Wow this looks beautiful. I hope they speed up the combat it the final version though. I'm going through my first play through of the first Xenoblade and it flows much better than this one. The attacks seems sluggish when they connect

Hopefully it's just a slow speed stat. The faster you were in the original, the faster your auto-attacks were.

Coming from a big time Xenoblade fan, this looks amazing. The characters look a tiny bit too chibi for me since I played a ton of the original Xenoblade Chronicles. I also like that some of the enemies from the previous games make an appearance, like the armus and the bunnits. All in all, I'm very excited for the release and I will probably get it!!!

I'm really excited for the new take on the battle system. I think I like the battle system from the previous two better but this looks like fun, especially that Blade combo in the end. And the way each Blade skill changed depending on who triggered first? Oh man, thinking of all the possibilities drives me nuts!

+Samuel Samuel nopons only, if you look better you'll see so much more from XC1 in here. Still the nopons of XCX have knowledge of the Monado, of Riki and the frontier village, and that is revealed not inly on side missions, the most important is revealed in story missions. So that means something too.

The guy said that indicators for enemy aggression (seeing/hearing you) aren't in the game but one enemy he was fighting had a lighting bolt on the name plate like the other games

I only ever played Xenoblade Chronicles X but that game started my interest for the series, now I'm trying to get Xenoblade chronicles 1 (3DS ver.). Definitely getting this one too

Yami They have been working on this game for 5 years (basically since theoriginal xenoblade chronicles came out). Xenoblade Chronicles X was developed by a different team within Monolithsoft.

MtMarshi Has that been confirmed? The developer in this video said Xenoblade 2 was built off of Xenoblade X's engine. How would they be able to do that if they were in development at the same time?

No, they said they started development for this around 2014. Around the end of X's development.

PLEASE fix the sound for the next stream. The amount of issues here were ridiculous. Crushed sound effects every time you hit an enemy, very low game volume in general, and sometimes, you just flat-out couldn't hear ANYTHING. I wanna hear the music, but I can't because of the badly mixed audio. :c

They said they will be polishing it as they move on, its in that phase now just before they release, X had a lot of bugs in the first trailer but were fixed in the final ones.

If there's one thing I dislike in the gameplay is the fact that abilities are on cooldown at the start of battle and you have to spent 10 seconds or so to use them, makes the battles slower, a lot slower.

Only have one complaint. Don't like the fact that you have to auto attack for standard arts. I'd rather arts be on a timer like the previous entries while auto attacking charges the blade'a special attack. Otherwise this is my most hyped game of the year. Cannot wait for this masterpiece.

Rex is so perfect for smash as second Xenoblade character. His neutral b would change his swords that would change his tilts, smashes, airs etc. his upb would be like shulks or something new, down would b counter as well, side b maybe a sword shoot something? idk. But it would be awesome
