I think that Mumkhar's death is one of the best done story points in the game. Throughout the game up until this point the game has been making you HATE Mumkhar; he murdered Fiora and the Emperor, destroyed colony 9 and 6, and is overall just a massive asshole. When he dies though, you feel no joy or achievement, only pity. His death scene completely changes the way you think about Mumkhar, from absolute hate to utter pity.
PunchingOblivion also, think about how he died. You have a boss fight with him, then a cutscene plays where Shulk gets a vision of him dying. He tries to warn the guy but he ignores the warning and fires a ranged attack and then gets skewered. Think about it. HE DIED THE EXACT SAME WAY THAT FIORA DID!!!
What are you talking about? I felt no pity whatsoever. Shulk got to have his cake and eat it, too: he got past his desire for revenge, but Mumkhar still got what he deserved!
@@MarioLuigi0404 considering how long he took for the last 2 trial demon gates for Okami... Its probably gonna take 3-5 years for it to come It took 9 years for the last 2 trial gates. And XC is a huge game
@@flaccidpancake336 Okami also was in limbo/hell because he was waiting for an HD port as well as a file that was at the end game (que Masae actually going and doing her let's play). So for Okami the only thing that's similar is that they both got a Switch release, let's play wise.
chuggaaconroy So it takes almost a year to beat the best game of all time. I can't thank you enough for the LP Chuggaa, and I am excited to see you push on and on and on. We know this is the end of Xenoblade, but we look to the future now, and probably Xenoblade X
***** Sharla The Homs haiasI nosrettaP Fiora The Homs Monokuma Half Hope and Despair Dunban the Homs ***** Josh Tindale Ella The Alchemist ***** Prince Kallian Xord シュルクShulk Theaggyyu oHo And tag anyone else you want, for old time sake, you can say whatever you want here .... unless you are Juju the Homs who got into the cloning machine and is now Juju 2.0
It's been a journey. But you inspired so many to take this journey for themselves and I think I speak for everyone when I say, thank you Chugga. You have done so well with this playthrough. You have put your blood, sweat and tears into this and it has immensely paid off. This was my favorite let's play I have ever watched... EVER. It was so well crafted. So well planned. And you basically introduced tens of thousands of people to this universe. Seriously, amazing work. And I still think Shulk got into Smash and Xenoblade got ported to the N3DS because of you XD
Chugga, yesterday at Boston Comic Con I was able to meet Jenna Coleman and get her autograph. While most remember her as Clara Osborne from Doctor Who, I remember her as Melia from watching your Let's Play of Xenoblade Chronicles. I told her I loved her role in the game and she laughed saying it was a long time ago since then. She was really nice and cool to us fans. Thanks for making this Let's play, and I hoped you enjoyed reading this.
I just wanted to leave this comment to say that the playlist for Xenoblade Chronicles, entirely clocked and accounted for runs at an astonishing 58 hours, 16 minutes, and 08 seconds. And we watched every second of it.
Holy shit, ONLY 58 hours?! I can't believe I put off watching the last few episodes for more than 2 whole years just because episodes were coming out a little slow and I was gonna binge watch it. Also, 58 hours makes it feel a little morbid that I've spent thousands more hours on singular games, yet this whole playthrough felt like a lifetime.
That last Heart to Heart just hurts to see. Especially given Dickson.... Both of Dunban's closest friends and allies betrayed him over the Monado and empty promises of power. And yet it seems he does not hate them truly. That... is noble.
I know what you mean. It’s true that Dunban got betrayed by Dickson and Mumkhar and yet he doesn’t hate them after they fought with him. It’s difficult to see it.
If you are ever in any doubt as to how AMAZING this game is, I did a book report on it. A book report On a video game. My teacher allowed this. My life is complete!
I just finished playing through with this as my guide to make sure I did not miss anything. I already had watched it for the story as it was coming out.
Good going, man. Your favorite game of all time deserves no less. Would recommend taking a little breather, though...this has been insane. But when you return...ahem... *Say it with me, now!* Pikmin...3... Pikmin 3... PIKMIN 3...!
I like to imagine how Mumkhar was before the Monado was discovered maybe considered Dunban a rival, maybe the only guy who speaks up to Ol' Square-tache, probably had a family or a girlfriend just, being a normal guy instead of the backstabber he became
I do too. He kinda reminds me of Blue from Pokémon, in that he was a good friend that turned sour. It's interesting how many characters are friends but betray you for no reason other than, well, anything seemingly trivial, like jealousy, and it's even more interesting to think about what characters were like before the character arcs they made before you met them. Personally, I like to think that Mumkhar's colony was destroyed by the Mechon, making his betrayal all the more surprising.
Chuggaa doesn't end his favourite LP with the main character in the fan favourite area. He leaves of with Melia on Valak Mountain, and that means so much more.
This was a phenomenal LP, Chugga. You were so professional, humorous, dedicated, and overall jolly with this game. I felt like you opened your heart and soul for us to explore your absolute content and wondrous felicity, which was a very enjoyable sight to behold. I love Let's Players who pour their everything into a game they cherish so much and share it with their friends and viewers. This whole project was like enjoying a sunset on the beach while eating a juicy, bloody steak with giant, steamed snow crab legs served with butter and chili cheese fries drizzled in ranch! You make me so happy, Chugga! THANK YOU!
TheLegendaryRK9 it one of my favorite games. Maybe X might help fill the gap in are gaming hearts. I got the 3ds version and now I look this and say, I will miss you. For ever this if my number , but my top memorial games I have play. Thank you. And under 301
Truth is, I have both the wii version and the new 3ds version and I have already 100% both systems. It is that darn good. I actually finished doing Heart to Hearts today on the 3ds version just before this went live.
Just coming back to say... Man I can't wait for Definitive Edition so that we get these dynamic fly around shots in HD, but hopefully some great shots of the Bionis Shoulder too!
Hey Chugga, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for pouring months upon months of effort into creating a fantastic letsplay series. Thank you for showing us a greatly underrated game with fantastic characters, a beautiful story, and a whole new world. Anyone could lets play a game, but what makes you so unique is that you put your whole heart and soul into every aspect- going as far as making sure as the audience has the best possible experience and gets so much out of it: from stuff that isn't in the game, to simply atmosphere creating, to persevering even in sickness. You already convinced me long ago to play this game and the sequel, but I know now that there are thousands more invested in the series. So thank you thank you thank you for creating a letsplay experience unlike any other, and we'll see you in the next letsplay when you craft something else amazing. Thank you Chugga! Thank you!
I binged this entire series within a few months and, something to know on my first watch of the series, I never saw this video but now, I'm happy I did, and Xenoblade Chronicles will live on, as the longest, and close to, the best game, of all time.
THE FINAL EPISODE! Finally the most completed walk-through of Xenoblade Chronicles there will every be. Now comes the fun part. WHAT WILL BE THE NEXT SERIES! Leave your predictions/suggestions down below!
I watched bits and parts of this episode when it first came out. I never thought I was going to watch the whole thing, but here I am, 118 episodes later. Chugga, thank you for taking me- for taking us all- on this magical journey through one of the true masterpieces of gaming. It's been a long run. I started watching this series in December 2015, and here I am in June 2016, commenting on this video. Every step along the way has been infinitely rewarding. Not to insult anything you've done or will do, but I believe this LP will go down as your magnum opus. The commentary was splendid, the depth of your coverage was awe-inspiring, and perhaps even better, you introduced tens of thousands to this incredible piece of art. Again and from the bottom of my heart, thank you, Chugga.
It's over sadly, you playing this game has made me want to play it I and I'm glad I stuck through the entire play through. You and your channel has made each and every day special for me even through my hardest year in school I have ever had and my best year too so thank you and every thing you do
I’m always coming back to this playthrough and this is still one of my all time favorite projects you’ve covered on the channel besides Earthbound. I’ve grown appreciation to Xenoblade through Smash and your playthrough! Good job Chugga and I’m hoping to get the game later. Thanks for such great playthrough of such great games!
Thank you chuggaaconroy for introducing me to this game! This is easily one of the best LPs you have ever done! This took over two years to complete, so you have put a lot of commitment! Thank you!
Chugga, thank you so much for LPing this game. Xenoblade Chronicles is truly an absolute masterpiece, and this series is possibly your greatest to date on this channel. The amount of work that went into every episode is mind-boggling, and even though I've played through the game myself to almost 100% completion, there were still a whole bunch of things you taught me. Xenoblade is one of the only games that has made me laugh hysterically, shed tears, and be left awestruck, all in the same play session. It's also one of the only games where I've felt a strong connection with every main character. Thanks for sharing your love for Xenoblade with all your fans! :)
Thank you for such an amazing lp Chugga, this is one of my favorites of all time, and I especially appreciate how you went out of your way to get info on unused data, Japan exclusive stuff, and even read aloud an amazing lost episode! Thank you
It’s been almost 4 years and this is still my favorite playthrough series EVER, made me get the game, the 3ds port, and made shill my main for both smash 4 and ultimate.... this episode makes me cry every time I watch it.
ZeldaInuYashalover i cleared the game last week on the new 3ds. such a shame i already knew what would happen but it was worth it even so. i intend to do a second playthrough soon, because i misinterpreted chugga's video of the last battle against zanza and thought his level would always be one above mine. i had the whole party well above level 90 before the fight with dickson and it was easy enough to take away the enjoyment of these battles. and also to show the game to a friend of mine.
jp mesquita If I watch a lets play of a game I end up owning, I don't play it until I forget almost everything about it. That usually takes a year or so.
Just finished watching this. Incredible LP, Chugga. :) You should definitely be proud of yourself for this LP. Its your best yet and I don't see it ever being topped. You've made me want to play through this game again and its only been a week since I beat it lol!
chuggaaconroy Thank you for introducing me to this awesome game, as well as other games that you have played. Without you, I probably never would've played Xenoblade Chronicles. This was a very fun series to watch, and I hope to see even more in the future.
I have to say, doing an LP this massive and putting in so much work in little details everywhere really requires some dedication and love for the game. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I know I enjoyed every bit of it.
I'm glad I got to experience this Lets Play. You convinced me that this really is now my favorite game of all time. It was a long road, but it was a great journey.
Hard to believe it's over. Thank you Chugga for inter dousing me to these characters, this world, and this amazing story. The past year or so has been hard on me and your videos always make me smile. Thank you
3:04 Oh God was that Lion King XD In all honesty, thanks for let's playing this Chugga. It was a REALLY long game for you to play just for us, and we are truly appreciative of it. Thanks again, and see you next lp!
Oh it's been almost seven years since I have watched one of your videos it's great to see nothing has changed. Your videos always gave me a warm nice feeling and I loved the old funny moments. It makes me feel good to see that your also near one mil subs
***** Yea, I really admire the effort and determination that he has put into this project in particular. That is why Chugga is one of my favorite RU-vidrs.
Music Dragon Mountain I know right? Plus if not for this let's play I wouldn't have discovered Xenoblade in general and it's my favorite game of all time now. Before I didn't even have a favorite game since I tend to like everything I play quite equally. Well, until now. Xenoblade goes first and everything else follows after :P
***** Yeah. I wouldn't have bought several games if it weren't because of the let's plays of them. Kid Icarus: Uprising and Animal Crossing: New Leaf are just a couple of examples. I also wouldn't be making more puns now if it weren't for him.
Thank you so much for doing this Let's Play, because of it I got introduced to what is now my favorite game of all time. Really, before Xenoblade I never thought I could love a game this freaking much! But now I do. This game is just too amazing. Congratulations on finishing it at last, I'm glad I was a part of it watching almost every episode (skipped some due to having limited internet data at one point, but they were sidequest episodes so not anything significant, thankfully) and seriously, good job on all the information you managed to touch on during it as well. I still remember that day after your huge hiatus due to your illness, when there was a new episode that came out. I was so happy that the Let's Play is finally continuing. This let's play just in general means a lot to me during the time it was going on, so once again, thank you :)
Very awesome, Emile. I'm honestly impressed! You took this game and put a (probably unhealthy) amount of time into it and covered it entirely. You overcame the worst illness of your life, overcame every unique monster and even went to The Bionis Shoulder. Also, the pain of seeing Melia lose her beloved to another girl, but that's neither here nor there. However, if there is one thing I want to say about Yaldabaoth, as extra trivia, it's this... When Yaldabaoth is still called Gold Face in Galahad Fortress, if you get him to half HP, he will never lose anymore but still takes damage, you can wail on him all you want. He is the only boss I know of that does this and only through topple locking to an extreme degree (100 seconds or more) was I able to see this. That is a small detail that no one should know...That isn't important though, what I wanna know is if that Secret Episode could be played out by someone as a CGI Animation cause seeing that would be very cool.
You also can't get Yaldabaoth in Mechonis Core less than 10% of his HP before he makes the systems that allow him to use Bionis Slash X. I know because I did a 770k damage chain attack on him in NG+, maxed chain Buster, Sword Drones X, and Blossom Dance with very strong red multipliers as well.
Man I am late. This game was so well made and hearing your voice tell out and comment on it was the perfect addition to this adventure so thank you Mr. Conroy for playing and posting this game because it seriously felt like watch an anime and tv show play out.
Ahem... Chuggaa... Chuggaa, there's something that you said you would do years ago, yet you haven't done it, nor made a video discussing it. Know what it is? I'll give you time to think It's the Wind Waker Nintendo Gallery....
Emile...thank you. Watching this LP has been an amazing experience for both me and my friend. Watching these characters grow as homs, machina, high entia, and of course nopon was an adventure in itself. Every single cliffhanger you left us when you were sick added a bit of drama and anticipation and I'm not saying your sickness was a good thing but it left the story dramatic and intense. Against the odds You have given me the best year ever watching this and I look forward to your next lp in hopes you'll be really feeling healthy this time! I don't know if you'll see this but at momocon I had a friend of mine get you to sign a copy of Xenoblade so thank you for that very much! Till next lp, May Meyneth watch over you Emile. I look forward to it, same Reyn time same Reyn channel.
You can actually find the door to the regeneration chamber in the cylinder hanger in Colony 9. Screw "If you can see it, you can go to it." If you hear about it from a source outside the game, you can go to it.
Closure to one of biggest roller coaster rides I've seen in gaming in a while. Chugga you honestly enriched the experience of the game for me by putting so much time, care, and effort into it and getting at every detail that this game had to offer. I'm sad to see it all finally come to an end but, let the future of this channel be filled with stories as amazing as this one.
Chugga, thank you so much for showing us this amazing game. It truly has grown in popularity because of you. Not only has the hype for Xenoblade Chronicles X skyrocketed, but it became so popular all thanks to you, that Nintendo re-released it on the 3ds. I have been and will revisit the episodes of your Let's Play because i love the story so much. I keep looking up any way i can listen to its amazing music on any radio app and absolutely love the musical score. I never wanted this LP to end because I loved it so much. I sincerely thank you so, so, so much for showing me and the world this wonderful game. I hope that you make more amazing Let's Plays. I hope that they will make another Xenoblade game following the amazing cast of characters we have come to know and love. And for the love of Bionis please make a LP on Xenoblade Chronicles X. Like I said before I never wanted this Let's Play to end, but as one wise man once said all good things must come to an end. Thank you Emile. We love you.
Chugga/Emile, I just wanted to thank you for this Let's Play. It is because of this Let's Play that I tracked down a copy of this game and played it, because it looked like such a good game, and it was. While I had known about this game since it was released (here in Australia), I wasn't sure if I would like it, but your Let's Play gave me the confidence to finally purchase it. It has since become one of my top 3 favourite games (alongside the Mass Effect Trilogy and Super Mario Galaxy 1). So again, Thank You for all the work you put into this Let's Play. This has been (IMO) one of your best yet, because of all the work, details and dedication you put into this Let's Play.
once again, I must say thank you for making this series, it has helped me appreciate this series and has lifted my spirits after some brutal parts of my life, thank you so much for this let's play Emile
Before I even watched this Let's Play, I wasn't really interested in Xenoblade, or any JRPG for that matter except for Pokémon (if you wanna count Pokémon as a JRPG). Now that I've watched the entire series, I've been completely obsessed with this game, and I'm already thinking about rewatching this series from the very beginning. Thank you, Emile, for introducing me to such an amazing game.
+Mumkhar the Homs If you didn't save Dunban he would never used the Monado, and won the battle at sword valley. Basically letting the mechonis win the war, So the true hero is Mumkhar.
Riki: Hail Mumkhar. Dunban: ummmm Riki. Riki: Dun Dun Hail the God Mumkhar. Dunban: I though Zanza was are God. Riki: Dun Dun you got it all wrong in xenoblade chronicles X Mumkhar is God. Dunban: But we aren't in that... Mumkhar: How's it going Dunban. (To be continued)
Emile, well done! This was probably your best LP ever thanks to your enthousiasm, your passion and your love for Xenoblade. You did a phenomenal job! Keep doing what you do. I can't wait for Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, at least if I guessed it right.
Man, I can't believe it is actually over! Congrats on an amazing LP, I've loved watching the series so much! I know whatever you do next will be just as good.
this has been an amazing let's play Chugga! Can't wait to see what you do next! thanks to you I learned a lot about this game I didn't know and was able to see lots of parts of this world that I wasn't able to expereince myself. Thanks for such an amazing series!!!
I just wanna say this Emile, I can say hand on heart that this is one of only two Let's Play's i hvae ever seen that made me want to purchase and own for myself the game that was being played, and for that, I thank you for that
Sad to see this over, but damn what an LP it was. I can't believe how much you put into this project over all this time and all the preparation before. Truly a masterpiece of a game and LP. Thank you for your dedication to your work
It hasn't even been a year since I subscribed to you, and yet I've been watching your lets plays since Majoras Mask, each time one finished I wanted to say this and now I get a chance to, Congratulations and thank you for another amazing let's play, you, protonjon and ncs are probably my favorite let's players, on your personal channels and on TRG I can't help but laugh, thank you so much Chugga
Thanks Chuggaa for reminding me that story... it gave me the chills though. It was more emotional when you read it than I did. Great journey and fantastic end... I hope you could find a game that can equal or surpass this Lets Play. More LPs to come and stay AWESOME!
