I really can't tell which is odder. The fact that Egil and Bana share this song in the first place, or the fact that a common citizen of Bionis is STRONGER than not only Egil who became the new spirit of Mechonis, but almost every other creature [save a few unique enemies I suppose] on Mechonis.
bensupermario I loved this when fighting Bana. I fought Bana severely underleveled, so the fight was truly difficult. It was like avalanche abaasy hard. This song made it so epic.
+GokensLetsPlays Well, This sidequest chain was being hyped up since the very start of Frontier Village, and it IS the only time you EVER fight a Nopon
+Poryful-Z Even earlier actually, The first character to offer a quest required for the whole questline is Daza outside of Colony 6 and the first character you meet that is involved in the whole mess is on Bionis leg when you first go there.
I can't explain how much I've cried during this game...most RPGs, for me, have 1 moment that I really tear up, but Xenoblade Chronicles has made me cry so much more than just 1 time. Best RPG I've ever played.
I thought THIS was the final boss theme when I heard it. I was super confused, but it really gives off a great 'final boss' vibe. Not to say I don't like "The God-Slaying Sword", but that one sorta just loops, and has the music 'peak' right as it starts, and you never hear this peak repeat. Tragic Decision has a nice build-up, then a peak a minute in, but after said peak, you hear more buildup to another peak a minute later, not to mention 2:30's chorus. It fills the role of emotional battle and 'final boss theme' at the same time. ...I rambled, didn't I?
The first time I fought Bana I was NOT expecting it at all. I just head up to the top of Frontier Village, expecting a quick little cutscene about him being arrested, or maybe another continuation of the quest. NOPE. Suddenly I'm in control of my team, we're in attack mode, this music's playing... and we're fighting a character who's leveled up higher than Zanza.
+Heather Smith Actually, even though Zanza is level 81, with Bana only being level 78. Bana is however, 6 levels higher than Yaldabaoth, after Egil has been accepted as the Mechonis's soul.
HOLY SHIT THERE WAS MORE? is this the only track that wasn't complete on the OST? also thanks for uploading! really glad to hear some seconds of new OST :D
@Clyte23 I recorded directly from the game. I think they not included this version in the soundtrack maybe beacause there was not enough space on the cd... :)
Actually the disc in question is only 70 minutes long. There are other discs in this very soundtrack that have 75 and 77 minutes worth of music. I honestly can't fathom why they would cut out the 60 seconds of music this song still had. I guess you could say it was a ...Tragic Decision on their part.
I just hate how the OST cuts off this song. Fuck you Dog Ear Productions, I payed $60 for the soundtrack, and this is what I get!? (I don't care that much lol)
THIS. The acting in some segments is pretty good (Shulk is generally good in intense moments, and the battle voiceovers are all decent), but pretty bad in others. The "it's an English dub, they're always bad" excuse doesn't fly either when one considers how consistently good the Tales series is dubbed.
This may be true but when you compare this track with the rest of the cd which is mostly effective but repetive background music... It's just beyond understanding why they would cut this one short.
AgentG128 too be fair he is an amazing LP'er adn introduced me to the series and I bought it and played it independantly from his playthrough, I love the story so damn much
If you're talking about the Nopon, it's because some people don't sidequest. About the other one, well... dude, that is just TOO good to spoil, so no one is.
and still it remains: jokes on you...if you are so good at observing you would observe faster that since the beginning of anime and japanese stuff outside of japan...voices never nailed the characters well in any kind of media....english dub sucks since the beginning of mankind...you should have known this mr observer. sorry for my bad english but iam not from your part of the world.
