Exactly, at the beginning of the broadcast the announcer said and a graphic that was put up on the screen showed that Seattle had to score 34 points to make the playoffs. They only scored 28 points but the announcers then said that Seattle is going to the playoffs.

I think most XFL fans would agree that STL should be in instead of Arlington. The league would be better off without divisions until they can expand imo.

​@@cameronsmith2245 agreed, even though it wouldn't bring the dramatic race to the playoffs bc we would know the 4 teams making the playoffs before week 10, it is better for the league to have the best teams to compete and the final seeding would still be up in the air for week 10. I do want the XFL to expand either next season or in 2025.

I'm a seattle fan being from here. But man I felt bad for the battlehawks as they are a very good team. And the rules are confusing on the tie breaker.

@@chrisgranados3835 yeah, they need to clean up these tiebreakers, half of the game it felt like the broadcasters didn't fully know what they were. Obviously a 7-3 team should make the playoffs, but the Battlehawks blew their chance last week, so I can't say we didn't get our chance.

What was said is that they needed to score 34 points on offense, but could not allow 34 points to be scored by the Vegas offense. Then they went to a fifth tiebreaker.

... regarding tiebreaker 4. If they won and scored less than 34, they remained tied with St. Louis and 2nd place determination then relied on tiebreaker 5. Or we can just go with it

Yeah, it's a bit confusing, I think the top 3 from each should go to the playoffs. first place gets a bye and let 2v3 battle, then advance, then advance one final time. An extra round.

I think they rushed AJ back to soon, they knew they needed him for such a big game but he did next to nothing that game. Sea Dragons have best offense in the league when they are on form. Dinucci and Josh Gordon are lethal. An NFL team needs to pair them up

I don't even think they really needed to beat Seattle. Even if they could have kept it close against them, or not giving up a ton of points to Orlando, St Louis could have won the tiebreaker.

Finally found a way to bring us Seahawks and 49ers fans together to root for the same team! Kinda cool honestly. Sea Dragons easily could have went 9 and 1 this year to bro. The first 2 games were absolutely heart breaking loses with one being a fumbled snap at the 1 on a QB sneak that would have won the game with no time left easily. And instead Dinnuci fumbled the snap and we lost 😢 But the other game was down to the wire as well but to see the Sea Dragons go 7 and 1 the remaining 8 games with the loss coming to the best team in the league besides I believe isn't so bad. We coming into the playoffs ON FIRE 🔥

As a broncos fan, my team is also the sea dragons 🐉

Unless you are very very good at math it would be confusing. Besides, St. Louis should've won their game in Week 9, which was against Seattle.

It will never be equal to the NFL. The NFL is probably the biggest sport in the world outside of soccer and that's despite being only played in one country and most countries don't have sports besides soccer which is why soccer is so big. The NFL is a juggernaut. That being said the XFL has a chance to suceed and become a development league and basically a "minors" or second chance league for the NFL. So many players come out of college too early or not developed enough or lacking in game experience amd so forth and don't make a roster and pretty much call it quits on thier dreams. But with a successful league like the XFL those players and players who got suspended or in trouble and deserve a second chance can use the XFL to not only develop more. But get IN GAME EXPERIENCE which is vital. Cause it's hard to get better even on a practice squad because you barley get any reps in practice let alone none in real games. But they will be able to do that and develop at the same time and it will shine a huge light for them to be noticed by just one GM or Coach on these 32 teams. It is a spotlight. And thr NFL needs this more then any other sport. Baseball has the same kind of thing but football being a total of 24 positions and large rosters of 53 men absolutely need another league to help pick and develop talent from. The possibilities are endless. And I think the XFL and USFL would do good by combining both leagues and will be more successful. Turn it into a 16 team league. Make it 2 conferences of 2 divisions. And it would add another week and 2 more playoff games to be played compared to only 3 a year. It's a win win for both leagues. But if the NFL was smart. It would help subsidize the XFL. Throw at least 2 to 3 percent of annual yearly profit into the XFL for better advertising, salaries/contracts and league development. Instead of seeing it as competition which they know will never have a chance to really compete talent wise. But as a minors league to benefit from 🤷. A man can only dream though lol. I'm just stoked I have 2 football teams to root for in Seattle now and the Sea Dragons name and uniforms have really grown on me. Also the only downside to the league is if you have a player dominating all year best bet he won't be there the next one 😭. Which means we gonna lose Ben Dinnuci and Pearson

I think that is still too harsh of a penalty for a fumble. The 1 yard line is about as fair as you can make that cause the defense getting a touch back is way too much of a penalty. If you want it to sting a bit more, make it the offense gets the ball on the 5.

I don't like it lol I might just be so use to the other rule but if you are hustling like that on defense and make a amazing forced fumble right before the player scores I definitely think that's worthy of getting possession. This way there's literally no consequences for the offensive player for fumbling right before scoring.

They went to fifth tiebreaker. Statistics-wise, Seattle has the better points/points allowed over Saint Louis.

​@@kingmo8789 In hindsight that's true. I wanted STL to go to the playoffs too but SEA was also playing too good to not be able to go as well. Of course there would've been no way to know that ahead of time. And if they had taken the top 4 teams somebody would've complained that it was mostly northern teams. The just need to get the South going faster next year.

I thought the same thing. DCvsSEA and HOUvsSTL it's a much better playoff setup. They'll fix it for the next year. I think no one really wants to watch again Roughnecks vs Renegades.

the only issue with that is you have 75% of the league making the playoffs.

@@keithouderkirk7493 no, it would still be just 4 teams. Number one seed in the north and south. Then the next best 2 teams, regardless of which conference they come from. So it could end up being the 1 seed from the south, then 3 teams from the north.

ah, i mixed it up cause someone earlier was talking about making it a 2vs3 game and 1 seeds get a week off. meaning 6 of 8 teams make the playoffs

Sea Dragons needed to score 34 points to win tiebreaker #4 over the Saint Louis. They didn't, so nobody won tiebreaker #4. They went to the 5th tiebreaker and Seattle won that.

for the 4th tiebreaker they took the teams rank for points scored over the entire season among the teams in the division. this gave each team a score of 1-4. then they ranked them by points allowed and gave them a score of 1-4. the team with the lowest score (2 being the lowest score possible) won the tie breaker. at the kickoff of the sea dragons game, seattle ranked 3rd in points scored trailing STL by 35 points, and first in points allowed ahead of STL by 34 points. so as long as seattle won and neither team hit over 34 points, then it would go to the 5th tiebreaker. now the 5th tiebreaker was almost exactly the same as the 4th. but instead of being ranked only within the division, it was the teams rank in the entire league that matter. for the 5th tiebreaker the magic number for points scored was still 34. however, the magic number for points allowed was only 16. if seattle had won the game but given up more than 16 points but scoring less than 34, it would have resulted in a tie for the 5th tiebreaker. both teams would have a ranking score of 7.
