XFL Highlights: Vegas Vipers vs. St. Louis Battlehawks Week 8 was the first XFL game of the 2023 season to go into Overtime! The Vipers and Battlehawks headed into Overtime at 17 points each and Brian Hill blew the roof off The Dome in St. Louis with the game-winner for one of the most exciting finishes of the 2023 season with a final score of St. Louis Battlehawks 21 Vegas Vipers 17 (OT).
RU-vid sensation @Deestroying was in the house for an exclusive interview in the third quarter taking in the action.

The BOOS were so loud! Everybody around us was screaming that the Hawks had to go for it on 4th down. Then we immediately cheered when we saw the pass! The place was shaking after he touched the pylon! Felt like the early 2000’s again!

@@asap472 hi.. The voter mobilization campaign the NFL advertises is political. The NFL's celebration of Hispanic Heritage month is ethnocentric politics. The NFL's celebration of American militarism is political. Covering their endzones, helmets, and field goals in messaging about ending racism is more social, than political, so I'll agree with you on that. My point is, I wanna watch football, not be propagandized on political and/or social issues. So I'm grateful to the XFL (so far) for sticking to sports entertainment. peace.

Wow. So this is only like my 2nd time watching a XFL game, so a couple things stood out to me: 1. Wow, that St. Louis crowd is AMAZINGLY LOUD! Its like the Arrowhead of the XFL (makes sense, since both teams are in Missouri) 2. The OT rule the XFL has in place is so incredibly genius. I love how each team gets one shot per round to get into the endzone, and what I love just as much is if the offense commits a penalty (like the P.I. in this game) they lose their turn. If the XFL can had a solid 5 year run, I truly believe they can gain a lot more popularity and be a viable option of football during the NFL offseason.

well if there better than any other division this year, keep this in mine, after the XFL champion ends in mid may, the USFL will also do there 10 weeks in the summer, so who knows what the ratings are gonna be when the year is over.

The XFL shootout is amazing. Similarity to the NHL hockey shootout. My son and his wife went to see the game and could not believe the crowd noise ike back in the days of Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk and Tori Holt at The Dome. He said the place shook. Very large tailgating crowd. They even pulled out a win like that STL Rams team. I do hope though AJ Mc Carron is able to return to finsih the season.. Go Battle Hawks! 1

St. Louis had its NFL team forcefully ripped from them and the league blamed it all on the city and its fans. This is a fanbase with a chip on its shoulder and something to prove. Not the case in other XFL cities.

I love this league so much. So much better quality than college. You feel like you’re watching NFL Lite. Remember, Taylor Heinicke was a BACKUP in the XFL a few years ago. There are some really talented guys out there.

The XFL championship should’ve been slated for St. Louis and not San Antonio… St. Louis had already proved themselves during the 2020 version of the XFL! Because you KNOW that if St. Louis makes the championship and it was held in the dome, the upper bowl would’ve been opened, and the WHOLE place would sellout!

Those 2 missed Vegas field goals was the difference. One of course was the fake field goal try by Vegas that did not work. However, for St. Louis, it did.

I'm going to tell you Vegas has got offense they're very very good on offense not a very sound when it comes to protecting the balls and one thing I see about St Louis they ain't playing when coming to going to get that that defensive theirs is hungry and they came to eat. When it comes to the XFL you can tell that somebody's preparing a meal and every team is coming to eat if it's going to be a feast somebody might get their food snatched off the table because somebody's going to be a little bit more hungry when the game time starts and we're here to watch. We want to know who's hungry you better show up and show those teeth don't just growl you better bite welcome to the XFL

I hope the overtime penalty rule get change for next season. The offensive team shouldn't have their try removed they should just move further away from the endzone.
