In about my 8th or 9th time on a loop of these and the podcasts and I've grown to love the sturgess episodes ..Ricky and Steve actually run the show and it's not bad when ya listen so much you sometimes need a tiny break from the tripe😂

@@TheTerrorUforgot Partly that's a persona he's putting on though. Anyone implying they're a sad virgin geek who only longs after getting a girlfriend, live on air, is being sarcastic. Based on real-life character traits, but still. On the whole he's not trying to be popular and cool (at least not on the show) He's just genuinely witty, which he routinely undermines by playing a loser.

He asks her questions. And talking to ricky most time he is just talking. But every time clair u like this. Clair listen to this. Nice story clair. He clair. God damn, when I listen to this I can't help but think that Steve criticizing LotR, HP, and anything fantasy related is laughable. Like on one hand, I think "Just let people like what they like." Comparable to pineapple on pizza. I like it. I like fantasy stuff. It's not for everyone. But I also recognize that I'm a bit of a hypocrite because I look at the furries like they're subhuman. Like... take that bestiality-adjacent kink like.... really far away from me, please.

Observe how they behave when not on-air, such as during interviews, on stage and behind the scenes) and just apply common sense. Of course, it stands to reason that the characters and relationships portrayed on the show aren't mirroring reality, they're exaggerating it for comedic purposes. This also goes for Karl.
