If you go into config plugins you can assign all the macro buttons to really use this pendant to it's full potential. Had mine for 5 years or so now and wouldn't want to be without it.
I've seen a few videos on this controller, and some talk about how an axis just takes off when you click the dial a couple clicks, I wasn't sure what to think about that. My brother and I decided to try them out, so we both bought one, and they both just Take of running with just a couple clicks of the wheel. Not Supposed to do that. Also it changes my XY coordinates, to some extremely high numbers, like in the 3 and 5 millions. Both Controllers we bought do it, not good!
Congratulations on the channel. Very instructive video. I bought the exact same model of MPG pendant. I use mach3 but I have problems, when I move, for example, the Y axis, the X axis also moves. And this also happens with the Z axis. The X axis always moves together. Did you have this problem?
sir i dealt with the same problem, i tested two models of mpg ... i only solved the problem by changing the usb port. I'm using a USB 3.0 port... this way the problem was solved. health and peace!
There is at least one serious flaw that you didn't mention. The resolution selector only goes down to one thousandth. If you're using this on a machine tool (lathe, mill, not router) you typically dial in tighter than +/- 0.001, so you want a 0.0001 selection. It doesn't have it. I emailed them about it and they were very rude. The response was "We don't care what Americans want and we aren't making changes just for you". If you're working in metric 0.001 is fine, but not in imperial units (inches). An obvious mistake by someone who really only works in metric. It's a pretty nice pendant, but that said, it does me not good.
I've just received my xhc pendant but there are no instructions and no drivers in the box, so I'm confused how to get this working with mach3? Any help appreciated!
