Maybe it's just me but Wu Xie and Xiao Ge remind me so much of the characters from my favorite book series: The Infernal Devices. Xiao Ge as Jem, Wu Xie as Will.

Comparing other series of 盜墓筆記, I found that the relationship between Xiao Ge and Wu Xie in this new series 终极笔记 is a little bit less close than the others. Why are they so distant from each other?

I heard that the next Lost Tomb drama will have a DIFFERENT cast AGAIN!!! I am so MAD and disappointed!!😫😭😤😡🤬 They have/had this amazing cast (in this Ultimate Note) with great chemistry, and they company making it are only using actors from their company that DON'T fit the Characters, especially Zhang Qiling!! I am so ticked off!! They should have at least kept Joseph Zeng (Wu Xie) and definitely this Xiao Ge (Xiao Yu Liang)!! Xiao Yuliang is wonderful as Zhang Qiling! The Chinese Entertainment industry don't care about the fans, stories, who is right for the part, they don't care about the CHARACTERS or COHESION in their dramas, and especially with their Series!! They drive me nutes! Dang! If I was a swearing person, I would be right now and crying...🥺😫😭😡🤬

@@TheMeaninglessArt If i’m not mistaken this show feels like it’s more of a mini series in-between The Lost Tomb tv show seasons 1 and 2 when they returned from the under water tomb (parcel islands) and at the end of season 1 after Xie shows old photo to uncle san he remembers something which causes him to leave suddenly in a hurry which Xie, Wang & Litte Brother plan to go looking for him then beginning of Season 2 it picks up at Xie’s house where he dreams is uncle’s killing everyone inside a tomb (surprised memory) and midway through the season they found his uncle who now look much older. Ive been waiting for season 3 to become available all this and all i’ve been seeing is allot more of like mini-episodes or short films related to the TV series with similar characters with same names in different locations but the actors and actresses’ themselves either are younger or older in each one I see.

The umtamed can be so much pouplar in China , there is one favor is it does not have kiss and sexual scene for gay couple , So there are many kids and elder pple like this drama , they did not read the novel , so they just thought it is a good story to tell adventure ,friendship or something. Wow it appears in my reccomendation. I didn't know there's serial of this. I watched it because of yangyang and the story are a bit weird after some googling i found that just an adaptation of a novel.
Je viens de regarder ce qu'était "Ultimate note". C'est apparemment la 3eme saison de "The Lost tomb" (la 1ere en 2015, la 2nde en 2019, et celle ci en 2020-2021). Mais à chaque saison les deux acteurs principaux ont changé, ce qui est dommage je trouve. Ah, autre élément aussi, au départ apparemment était prévu une saison par an, on est loin du compte.

Because this is an adaptation and on top of that a CHINESE adaptation probably censored because of how strict china is so to know about the true relationship of the characters you must read the book or the manhwa (if it have one) so probably they’re more than friends in the original script they can’t show it because of how strict is china about gays
The book is not bl, not like mdzs, it's about friendship and adventure. Yes, what's between Xiao Ge and Wu Xie runs deeper than friendship, it's pure and beautiful. The drama is definitely not censored, it even shows way more than what's in books.

It is a Chinese drama called Ultimate Note beside that this is also apart from the lost tomb but you don't have to watch the other season bcs it is like a different dimension this drama is a bromance I hope this will let go of your curiosity
You don't have to watch the other seasons, but if you do, you'll understand the characters better. Also I highly recommend you to read the books. This is a whole new world, and once you fall into it you won't be able to get out.
Ah, it's complicated to answer but the relationship between the two male leads is definitely more than that of best friends:) i watched first 7 eps of this season(ultimate note) only because of them, and the subtle chemistry seems good enough for me to continue watching it:)
