Raimundo was my favorite character next to Kimiko. Dude was awesome. The fact that he became leader at the end of the series showed just how far he came as a character.
Clay was voiced by Jeff Bennett, who played the summerween guy from gravity falls, choose goose from adventure time, and the joker from batman the brave and the bold to name a few.
Raimundo’s hair, personality, and elemental weapon of choice (A sword) do remind me of a fire elemental character from another series about teenage martial artists collecting magic weapons
No, fire is not about intelligence but about temper. In order to roast qualitively people you have to posses calm temper with high intelligence and little bit childish and unserious attitude towards life. While fire does not fit this criteria.
I agree she can rock any outfit and still look cute. I like how she changes her appearance in almost every episodes it's very rare especially in a cartoon.
Raimundo was my favorite character for a multitude of reasons. He was brimming with personality. Rai always made his presence known in every episode, he kinda reminded my of Tommy from the early Power Rangers series (The Green Ranger, aka the BEST Ranger IMO). At times, he would be obnoxious, rude, and even disrespectful. But that wasn't exactly a bad thing, in fact, it made him appear more "Real" in a sense. Like he was an actual kid just like me, just being himself despite the circumstances. He also acted similarly to a friend I once had, he came from Brazil as well, and had mannerisms on par with Raimundo's lol However, like the rest of the cast, I enjoyed watching his character progress and change as the show went on. Rai became mature, wise, and cunning during future Showdowns. He even had less of an attitude and was more compromising towards his team. To this day, Raimundo is my personal example of character building DONE RIGHT, and it still shows in the present day.
I actually love that too. You would think it would be Omi given the cliches, but Raimundo had the most character in my opinion. He had a lot of flaws but at the same time a lot of character development which I appreciate the writers didn't disregard at the end.
@@ryangamble6697 I feel like they named it that cuz it actually weighs 2 tons lmao. And not to forget they didn’t actually lift Omi up all they did was help turn him over so he be standing upright like how someone would push a 2 ton square of iron so it would switch sides.
@@kelvinwong1591 No, they probably just call it that because the name sounds catchy. Besides, it is very heavy but I doubt it actually weighs two tons. That's like as heavy as a car. If it were that heavy they wouldn't be able to walk with it.
@@ryangamble6697 that is the case no? Everyone who has used it sinks to the ground instantly not being able to move. They can stand sure but they can’t move a muscle. Even tubbymura sank to the ground when he used it against Raymundo and it was cuz of a cyclone Raimundo made that actually lifted tubbymura with the 2 Ton Tunic on.
Its funny to think about his series of event. Disobey orders, leave the temple, turn evil, bring forth a greater evil, reconsider, turn good, save the world, becomes the leader. Like ...yeah omi you need to have some yang with your ying. Had too much ying. And you needed to want it
Raimundo learned from his mistakes and constantly was looking for improving when he noticed he was behind others, Omi's ego didn't allow him to do the same (even with something simple like when somebody corrected him when he said something wrong he replied "that too" instead of accepting he was wrong). Basically Raimundo surpassed Omi not because he was better but because he was humble to accept when he needed to work harder, and since Clay and Kimiko failed as leaders on the alternate timelines he was the choice to be the leader.
@@pforgottonsoul Like close friends are; I know most people on here barely have two friends between them to spark a fire, but when you typical get more and more friendly with friends/teammates, you tend to roast each other more, especially between males. It's more fun, because you slowly grow to laugh at your own shortcomings as a person.
@@pforgottonsoul Your loss. I'd rather have someone unafraid to tell me my small and big flaws to my face than clam up from fear of "upsetting" me. You mistake roasting for insulting; not the same in the slightest.
I always felt a little annoyed that Rai got so much attention in the show. I get he was the creator's favorite, but god it was too obvious most of the time. Omi often got shat on or regressed just to make Rai look better, despite being more or less the main character.
Eh, id say Omi still got plenty of screen time and development even if he did regress at moments where it felt forced (Charcater regression can be done well too) really i feel like Kimiko and Clay got cheated out of their developments. The reboot? tried to shove in some for Kimiko but it felt forced as hell
@@itsjustvin7630 You didn't quite read what I said. Omi had to regress to make Rai look better, they made him intentionally worse over time rather than making him better ,despite him having a good set up. Also, it wasn't just omi who got shafted. Clay and Kimiko could have used an arc to themselves, but neither one got any because Rai got -literally- all the major Ws in the series. I like Rai, but from my POV, he ate up a lot of the potential of the other characters.
Long ago, in ages past, I left a comment explaining the significantly superior naming of Everywhere Man. I presented a name which made more sense, using logic and science to determine a more proper name for “Everywhere Man” based on the villain’s abilities and nature. Ahh the good old days.
To me, it always seemed like Kimiko did like Raimundo, but he was always being a jerk to Omi or Clay, so that was a "Turn-Off" for her. However, in later seasons, Raimundo's attitude improved. So her feelings towards him became more friendly. She even gives him a kiss in the last episode (On the cheek of course).
As a kid I thought they ended up together they had some chemistry and it’s revealed every time Haylin Magic was trying to seduce him like, the illusion would be of Kimiko
