I love how you do the review just wandering around the city, as opposed to doing it in a studio or some other controlled environment. Just gives the video a very laid back feel.
We are waiting for you to review the new Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone because your reviews are very wonderful and we will always support you@@bensgadgetreviews
Exactly! Been following Ben for years, and he's about to grow exponentially, deservedly so. Takes a long time to pass 300k, but he's almost there. He manages to stay unique AND informative, not easy
now that it has 4k60 on the ff cam its a better value than the regular s24. and this is coming from an s24 ultra user. Great value! it's going to be better next year. 😁
Just finished watching the Barcelona launch event. 999 Euros for the 14. The 14 Ultra will be globally released with a European Price of 1499 Euros, and unannounced price for the Photography Kit.
@@hopexhope3985 12gb 256gb is lowest option in eu in the netherland you get a free xiaomi pad 6 and 100 euros off as a early bird gift. and the 14 ultra 1299 plus Photography kit.
Here in Malaysia I can get this phone for around $620 only for 12GB/256GB model, pretty damn cheap here 😁 and the Pro model cost around $710 for the same storage configuration, both phone are import set model since the global model will be launch next month in Malaysia
@tomharris7689 The official global version just announced few days ago at Malaysia, selling at RM3499 (~USD745) for 12GB+256GB version, and preorder come with free Xiaomi S3 watch, and extended warranty
The idea of the device is nice. But camera shake is huge. And switching from regular to zoom shifts the colors greatly. Its like to different manufactures of the camera model. And no color and exposure matching in software.
@@ddn1472 i can forgive Samsung since they have two sizes. Except the increase of the S24+ to 6.7 inches for no reason. But the iPhone 16 Pro is rumoured to be 6.4 inches instead of 6.1.
Hello from Malaysia. Good video, i am glad Ugreen products been getting the recognition they deserved. They are pretty high quality product. Our specs for Xiaomi 14 its actually a 12GB Ram version priced at RM3499 (256GB) or RM3799 (512GB).
there is a setting for the notification bar if you don't want the split type of setting you can have it the old way you swipe down and you get both the notifications and the shortcuts in one swipe
Ben needs to do a 14ultra vs magic 6 pro vs vivo x100 pro plus. As from a price point even the Samsung ultra seems cheaper then the Xiaomi 14 ultra. £1400 is a lot of money
Xiaomi 14 ($1016-1161) vs iPhone 15 ($870-950) What will you choose? Iphone is more consistent with software and hardware. Xiaomi is messing with consumers by releasing a global version months later. It runs snapdragon 3 and has 120hz but also higher price where i live. How about camera, haptics, speakers etc..
For camera and software the iPhone is probably better than 14 but the hardware 14 is better, as you can see from this video comparison we can clearly see the 14 struggle with night time photography even 14 has better hardware, and at some photos from day time iPhone also took better photo
@@pudinichigo91 I see the iphone 15 pro max wins on night time photography at 3:06 and 6:38. But other than that it took nice photos and better overall. Do you see more timestamps where the iphone wins? I also just read the xiaomi 14 has a macro lens. There is too many trades offs choosing a regular iphone 15.
That's not fair to expect it to be priced like the FE. The FE isn't a flagship phone lol. The Xiaomi 14 is more premium than the standard S24 now let alone the S23 FE.
@@bensgadgetreviews Ahhh sorry about that man I thought the FE is still considered a "flagship" albeit a "lite" version since it's still under the flagship's series 😂😅 lol
Ben, great review and thank you as always. Will you do a 14 Ultra vs X7 Ultra review at some point? I'm really struggling to decide and value your opinion/testing. Thank you.
It's European import duties and taxes and carrier and distributors driving prices up. You think Chinese brands are pocketing the extra money? It's Y'ALL. I can ask why a bottle of water in Germany cost six times the price in Thailand too
@@bensgadgetreviewsexactly. It's shocking how these people don't even do a little bit of research before commenting. Europe wants to remain Americas bi t ch, so they are making it difficult for Chinese players to enter their market.
The VAT alone in Europe is 20%. Also, the costs of complying with EU regulations. Import costs as well as making a Global ROM and supporting it for the next 4-5 years! You add all this up, and the price is reasonable and commensurate with rivals.
Waiting for your review of the 14 Ultra, Ben. I trust and value your opinion and reviews and you walk about with the phones and don't just sit in front of a camera talking through the whole video.
Xiaomi due to the extra costs of entering the EU have a choice, charge a price reflective of the extra costs, or do not release in Europe. Stop moaning, it is better that we get a release than not so either pay or move on. There are some good deals in the UK for pre-orders, for the Ultra, a free Xiaomi Pad 6 (£270), a free camera grip (£180) and a £50 discount code.
I don't think Xiaomi camera is better than the IP15PM. Look @6:37. I can clearly see the "Vegetarian Food" on the signboard for the IP while the words are so fuzzy for the Xiaomi. Looking further you can see the phone number 25174 for the IP while the Xiaomi photos is not as sharp. Even the words "KONG YUP PROPERTY" are much clearer for the IP one. And this is the problem with all Xiaomi cameras - their post processing is always subpar comparing to other brands even when Xiaomi hardware are flagship levels. I will never buy Xiaomi phones for their cameras.
that 3.2x is not steady in video, jitters heavily. btw how is that ugreen so tiny, I have a really really cheap ugreen 66w charger (less than $10), which is giant next to these pyra tech minis. and hong kong uses 3 pin plug no?
HI, Ben, could you please help me out in deciding between Xiaomi 13pro or Xiaomi 14, i'm stuck in between. Considering the only point of pure photo quality and sensor size, i was prefering the 13pro 1". But 14 got my mind changed, with new chipset and more better dynamic ranges, the only downside being the "Sensor" which i didn't expect Xiaomi would be doing. And its a bit smaller. But X13pro is a bit costlier(dont know why) here than X14. Could you please help me sort out. Thanks in advance.
Saw a comparison betwee 14 ultra vs vivo x100 pro china version. Xiaomi as always, overexposed on highlights. Vivo win every aspect. Xiaomi only win on stabilizer on video
Manufacturing process and quality tests in 2024 of an "IP68" phone..... Camera lenses fogging due to condensation...WTF....a flagship phone that too....
Again an Excellent Review.. Xiaomi is losing again internationally .. particularly in the huge Indian market..they might have come with 14 Ultra...to compete with OnePlus 12 and IQOO 12 which are ruling market at 50000 to 70000 range..
But this regular 14 is already much more expensive than OP12/Iqoo12 so how can the 14 ultra compete with others since the ultra model will be more expensive than the regular 14 ?
