@@marinnn1234 Max G2 is more like Pro 4 2Gen then Ultra, and Ultra and Navee are basically the same..I would still go for Ultra out of those 3.

If you zoom in on the Xiaomi introduction video it actually says "500w direct drive motor" on the hub cap.

To the wheels, yeah it's true that they can slip, bit it's very easy to just brake a bit earlier than you're used to. I don't think it's a problem, and also with tires like the ones on the 4 Ultra you have more range that an offroad tire, so i think props to them :)

I had these tyres in the past but even at slower speeds on wet weather you definitely need to remain cautious.

Hi, I would like to ask a question. I have a Xiaomi Essential that I bought four years ago in 2020. I've ridden it for 2,120 km, but I've been having a lot of problems with it lately. Yesterday, I had to take it to an e-scooter repair shop because it had error 14 and the charging port didn't work (which I thought was the charger's fault, but it wasn't). So, it's time for me to buy a new e-scooter. I'm interested in the Xiaomi 4 Ultra because I like the new suspension system, four gears, longer battery life, bigger battery, and more power compared to the Essential. My other choice is the 4 Pro Gen 2, which is almost as good as the Ultra, but I prefer the Ultra. So, what do you think? Is it a good upgrade to go from the Essential to the 4 Ultra?

Good video Kugoo kirin m3 can you put self-healing tires on the scooter at the front. Very good xiaomi scooter

On the M3 they are tubed tires at the front (solid on the rear). Best thing to is use Slime for the tubes BUT remember that the number 1 cause for punctures is low psi. Remember, 45psi is what to keep it at.

I tried the Navee S65c and S65 which is the same. Very good but the price is too much. One of the big things putting me off is the speed.

Great video Glen. Yeah, regarding motor Navee S65 sounds like RC car but I dont need bell at all. There is no chance to zipp around without being spotted. 🤣 Im trying to get my hands on one so as soon as it lands you can check it out. Regarding tires you saw what tires was out 60kmph Xiaomi and were still alive except motor burned/melted after 1 year of use. 😬

I just don’t like them tyres at all. Turning tight bends is sketchy. What would be nice is being able to change them to a more knobby tyre.

It’s the tyre threads and curvature that I don’t like. I had them on a few scooters before and turning tight bends in bad weather can cause the scooter from slipping out from underneath. Just need to be cautious and should be ok.

@@Movelectrics You're right I have Xiaomi Pro 2 the standard tires start to deflate itself every week, and from the middle of tire there was treading which was only formed in the middle. I bought new tires from Misolin more durable and puncture resistant tires and it is way better more reliable no treading problem!

Forgot to mention this but Drum brakes requires less maintenance over Disc brakes! I will miss the disc brakes but it looks like Xiaomi took some inspiration from the Ninebot Max.

Great overview of the Xiaomi's 1st flagship e-scooter 4 Ultra with Dual-suspension! Anyway, xiaomi conducted heaps of tests on the prototypes of the 4 Ultra model to fix the problems like the tyres, battery, brakes, and yes this is in fact based on the Navee S65 which is what Xiaomi is currently selling at the moment. Regarding the 500w rear motor being a noisy-as Gear one I don't think so because the website states its a brushless motor meaning it should sound similar to the 4 Pro. Will pre-order it since my Pro 2 is getting out-of-date hehe😃🛴!

If you read the article linked below, you can see it says geared motor. Honestly, I hated that motor on the S65. But also the Xiaomi site states brushless. Thanks for the review sir. but is it possible to hack that speed limit? cause for me 25kmh is quite low for my daily. 40kmh max is a must for a better daily ride so i can maintain the speed round 30-40 kmh

In some cities, max speed is restricted to 25km/h only on bike lanes. In sidewalks and pedestrian zones without bike lane, the speed is 6-8km/h.

The scooter will still move but top speed/torque will be decreased a bit. I wouldn’t worry too much.

Tested with 130 kg and it reaches 20km/h in S mode just fine. Almost the same dynamics with 80 kg over it.

The new brakes are just not there , the stopping power has been reduced significantly, and that is a major drawback !!

Drum brakes can be adjusted in seconds. Just turn the nut.

Suspension on this Xiaomi is brilliant. I tried it on my Navee which is the exact same design. Never tried the G2.

I don't see much of an advantage to buying this scooter, it only goes 25 kph will probably cost more than the other one and has a bigger battery and deck but actual performance will be similar, ok it has suspension but that just makes it heavier to carry up steps, it also has a drum brake, which might become a nightmare when it comes time to change the brake liners, you may end up with the inability to find new brake liners.

I think if you live where the speed limit is 25km/h, it’s a great scooter. Drum brakes will last a good while but definitely when the west down, what are they going to be like to change.

@@Movelectrics And let's not forget high mileage vehicles wear out the brake drum over time as well which would mean a complete replacement of the wheel, probably, that would depend on how well the wheel was made of course.

Very good scooter,amazing build quallity and suspension also quite powerful and the drum brake works well.The only negative about the scooter is that it is not transportation friendly.

I think there is confusion here with regards to percent or degrees, I'm not maths genius but percent is different from degrees. You can work out the percentage of a slope, but the number and slope angle would be different from degrees, a 25 percent slope would be different from a 25 degree slope. I believe the percentage is a part of the slope where as the degree expresses the actual slopes angle. So a 25 degree slope would be quite a decent challenge for a motor of this size, but a 25 percent slope would not be much of a challenge. It's quite confusing but there is a difference, and I assume you mean 25 degree slope challenge or there wouldn't be much point. I could be wrong as I said I'm not maths genius and it is a long time since I have done this kind of maths.

@@gtone339 Yep it does get confusing, I find it much easier for people to understand when you speak of degrees with regards to slopes and hill climbs otherwise trying to work it out can be a real pain. Also a lot of people don't realise there is a difference and often actually mean degrees rather than percentage. Anyway it wasn't a criticism for his video it was just an attempt to clarify what he meant rather than percent I think he meant degrees.

Hi fantastic video last month I bought my self a Xiaomi Mi Pro 4 brilliant scooter 🛴 I have noticed when I press the brakes my back brake light doesn’t come on is it meant to do this or not thanks

I haven’t reviewed this scooter but if imagine that it is meant to flash or brighten up. Check the wiring first for potential damage.
