I have used BT keyboard to type in things like CW preset. Much joyful than using the bulit-in keypad.

Thanks for the video. I have successfully updated. Definitely has improved function. My favorite is the mic button changes. I am now discharging/charging the battery. It's already showing improved battery voltages with just the firmware change. Previously, it would complain quickly after charging especially when transmitting. Hopefully this will allow a ultimately longer battery life in this radio.

Great update, very curious what that note regarding increased output power is. Would be pretty cool to 15-20W out of it.

I don't know that the finals were designed to handle that kind of duty... I'm not ready to let any (more) smoke out of my radio.

@@temporarilyoffline I have been seeing momentary high power output of 14-16 watts on a fast Peak reading wattmeter on CW keydown into a dummy load. This is a very brief surge but long enough to register on a LP-100A Digital Vector RF Wattmeter in Peak reading mode. It does not register above normal in Average Reading mode. This started with fw 1.1.1 but does not occur on either 1st or 2nd firmware releases. Strange that no one else has reported this that I'm aware.

Its out on Xiegu's Chinese site, but you'd have to translate it to english... I'd say its "at your own risk"... but that seems well known already.

I've got it installed, its still english. The instructions and the README on what is updated is in Chinese.

@@temporarilyoffline I had a lot of QSO's while I was in Italy during the holidays with my italian callsign and my vertical antenna. Now I'm back to Ireland so next weekend I'll try it outdoor for the first time with my HWEF :) can't wait!

Hello. Have you tried how it receives and transmits on AM and FM? I just received the equipment and I have opened it for the CB27 band and when I use FM they receive me well but I receive with a lot of distortion and in AM they neither receive me well nor do I receive well. I love Esraradio but it does very strange things. Thank you.

This radio does do very strange things. If you want to hear how you sound, tune to a matching frequency on a websdr and CQ call yourself ;-)

This is the 4th fix they've put out... and it doesn't address all of the things the radio was supposed to do but didn't... it is a good radio... but the software man... the software...
