Xinyi Liuhe, originally from Henan province, later spread to Shanghai, I would assume this is from the Shanghai lineage.

The training is slightly different but the internal concepts and how they are applied in combat are basically identical.

@@LiShuBen not true. the orogins and concept are different. not that much but definetly different styles and moves.

I was just thinking how the elbows are used exactly in the same manner as in Baji, but the body mechanics are different. It somehow seems to make more use of rebound where Baji mechanics would emphasize a short burst. Also the kick at 0:20 is very similar in Xiao Baji form, usually followed with a small wrap. I've seen Xinyiliuhe have similar movement to the small wrap (a quick turning hop) so I'm guessing it could be that combination exists in both styles nearly identically.

Perhaps it is a way of adapting and developing practical combat system both systems ?
