I can't overstate how incredible of a rubber Vega Euro DF is. Excellent for young and developing players on both sides but also makes for an excellent backhand rubber to a decently high level. So while any 37.5 degree rubber is going to be too soft for offensive professional or world class players, intermediate and advanced players can make use of its incredible spin, control, and glue effect feeling. Your comments on Vega Pro being more durable is partially correct. The 47.5 degree SPONGE of Vega Pro will indeed last longer however the topsheet grip and spin of Vega Euro DF will last longer than the topsheet of Vega Pro. This is due to the newer dynamic friction of its topsheet that you mentioned. The performance of all rubbers in the Vega series can vary from rubber to rubber but the entire line is, in my opinion, the most important rubber line on the market today as it suits the needs of an incredibly large spectrum of players ranging from those approaching an intermediate level of play to those who have begun to enter an advanced level. A range which comprises the vast majority of our sport. Of course, Omega VII (and later this year VIII), is there for the higher level/professional/world class players.

Hi Steve. Ive been using Victas for ages but have been co verted to Xiom now. Personally use Stradivarius and Jekyl &Hyde both sides. Absolutely love it in every way. Weight, spin, speed and durability. Dont get me going about Butterfly and durability!! Anyway, always learn new stuff from your videos. Big 👍from me. Leo

vega pro might be as effective as t05 in a match, but the feel and the way you play them are completely different. Personally, vega pro has one of the coolest/unique and effective arc. Rasanter R42 also has a similar arc, but vega pro takes it further. However, vega pro has kinda poor grip and dwell comparing to other rubbers, so it's better to play into sponge, rather than thin topsheet contact (including on loops). Also vega pro after a break-in period (about 6 sessions of normal play) - the speed increases significantly, easily +20%

Completely agree. Most Xiom rubbers work well when you engage the sponge. Thin brush shots which tend to only engage the topsheet can be done but are not in the same league.

Hi Steve, which Xiom rubber is most durable at 45 degrees and 47.5 degrees scale of hardness for a USATT 2000 rated player? Thanks.

Hi, either Vega Pro or Vega X at 47.5 or the new Vega Korea at 45 degree. We can’t speak to the longevity of the Korea as we have just got it in stock but we find the longevity of Xiom in general to be excellent.
