As I work or build out a new setup I remember all the little things you pointed out over the last year. For whatever it’s worth you’ve taught me a lot and I appreciate these videos and your thoughtfulness in explaining all the details. Hope you kill it this season.
Good stuff Joe, great explanation for the new guys! Love my j-rod but i did buy a turbo nozzle for small areas of brick or concrete after seeing you use one. I also started using a foam cannon, fill it up with bleach and soap (hot mix) for those little add on jobs people want sometimes like a quick roof wash on a shed. I don't usually do roof washes so it saves me from having to make mix a batch of roof mix. Works great, goes on thick and doesnt move and does a pretty good job with cleaning.
I really love all your videos! I'm in Miami and, most of the time, I do the pressure washing by myself. You have helped me so much in my path to better myself! God bless you and give you tons of work and health! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Hi Joe, Thanks for explaining the x-jet nozzles. Very helpful to me and probably a lot of other new guys who are going to get into this type of business. Michael C - (WA)
Oh no. I have been using the X-jet M5 twist as my primary downstream soap & rinse nozzle for this whole season..... joe, this video has completely flipped my world upside down! I have been under the assumption i am pulling 10:1..... its back to the lab tomorrow, i will have to do a flow test. As always, THANKS
I really enjoy all your videos. Learned alot. Can’t wait till you get blend valve hooked up. Just one big favor. Could you please turn the background music off or down. please. I’m having a hard time hearing/understanding you.
Sweet! I'm starting off with a 2500 psi gas pressure washer and the Northstar 5.5 gpm soft wash 12 volt set up. SO EXCITED. Thanks again Joe for all the info!
Good content brother! Very helpful information for the new fellas, and even then guys like me who’s been in the game a while. I love my Xjet, use it often Scott
Hey man all the Xjet that I've looked at comes with different color fittings. Is that what I need ? Or do they make one that doesn't need the little fittings
Those little fittings are proportion or’s. Each one has a different size hole. And it controls how much chemical is drawn. I personally don’t use them at all. And I just run my Barb wide open.
What's the difference between using a shooter tip and a 0070 tip? Does a shooter tip jist give you an extra inch of distance? What did you pay for the shooter tip?
I’m just starting and initially I will probably stick to flat work. In the event I want to start house washing and considering I don’t have any soft wash equipment now, what would recommend would be the best to start (12v system, downstream with a Jrod, x-jet, etc)?
Hey Joe, great video but was curious on why you choose to rinse with a different tips/nozzle rather then a ball valve style on the end of your hose? Just curious if it would be easier to soap with the m5 as you explained and then remove and rinse with the ball valve?
Hey Isaiah. One main reason is I don’t use a ball valve on my set up. We don’t do a lot of flat work so rarely swapping guns. I may give soaping and rinsing either the ball valve a try later this season
Good morning joe, John from Long Island here. I am interested in getting a 12 volt the stealth 7gallon a minute everflow pump set up . The only thing I’m confused with is a sales rep from a powerwash company said the batteries only last about 2 hours, is that true. I know I have to buy a deep cell marine battery . Can you advise me on this concern. Thanks John Bacotti
Hey John. My deep cycle battery sometimes last for days. Maybe if you ran it for two or three hours continuously straight nonstop that would be it. But that’s not how it’s done. You only run out for about a half an hour for a job.
Sorry for all the questions. Ive been doing flat for 3 years and Im adding downstreaming vertical this year so Ive been watching all ur vids to learn. I bought an x hadn’t got it yet but now im wondering if i threw away $140 cause if im understanding u right a j rod does the same as a x jet? Thx for ur videos. Ur amazing at putting this very help info out there. Any additional thoughts?
@@powerfulimprovements Hi Joe, I have basically the same question. Starting out in Arizona, curious if J-Rod is sufficient to softwash a house, or If both the J-Rod and X-Jet/M5 Twist are needed as well as a J-Rod.
Hey great channel!! Can you use different chemical running through the x jets. Or down streaming. For example you mainly use sh but want to use a degreaser. Or a tougher product like for oxidization. How do i spray other chems?
Great content! I will be placing an order for an Xjet (nozzle assembly only) tomorrow! Question for you: Are there any added parts or modifications I'll need to make to use the Xjet for rinsing only? I will be using it on a 4000/4gpm belt-driven pressure pro (for context).
I haven't had a lot of luck depending on the pull of the chemical injector or the "venturi" effect, especially when on a lift or using extensions. I also have a separate low pressure 200 psi system that I'm wondering whether I could just use that every time and, if so, regardless of the tip would it pull chemicals? If you know, please respond. Thx.
Thanks for the information. I was wondering if the M5DS nozzle turned off soap when you made it to a super high stream and this video explains it. A question i have is what psi are you getting with these nozzles? Would they make marks on vinyl? Im still googling it, but wanting to make sure im not beating up peoples houses before i try
@@powerfulimprovements thank you for the response. My biggest problem im running into is that i live in Alaska and locally i have no access to 12.5%SH The highest i can find thats not 25$ a gallon is 7.5-8.5 and i have an internal debate on if thats going to be a strong enough mix with my downstream injector or if i should buy the m5 first. I am thinking the m5 with a self contained bucket will allow me more versatility though i could understand that you would want both in a perfect world. What are your thoughts?
I plan on applying my chemical only with the softwash system... using the mixer valves... what are your thoughts with a 2 or 3 story home using that? You think that plastic blue twist nozzle would reach those heights with a 5gpm ? I see guys using them with 5gpm softwash systems all the time but I’m not sure about the total height it can shoot up
What if you put the your downstream injector at the end of your wand and then put the m5 twist nozzle on the end of that? Would you get the same results as the x jet?
Basically just a cheaper version of the x jet and you don't have to go back to the truck if you're not changing tips to rinse you can just disconnect the chemical injector right there and put the nozzle back on. Also then you have your chem bucket right there to see when you're running low. Idk I'm new to this I just started last month so I'm still learning haha
It just seems like the x jet type nozzle may reach higher places than my J rod? Idk tho I'm just basing that on watching RU-vid I don't have an x jet type nozzle yet to test out
Joe, does the M5 twist draw at the same rate as the M5 Xjet? I've got a 4gpm machine and was wondering what my percentage would be if drawing straight 12.5% with the M5 twist?
@@powerfulimprovements i found there the m5 twist but i search xjet for a 5gpm machine and i cant find it. Can u provide me with the link i would appreciate.
Can you use the x jet nozzle with a 12v pump, if it fits the quick connect? I made the mistake of ordering just the x jet nozzle alone on google and it won’t fit my quick connect for my pressure washer. It’s way too small but fits on my 1/2 inch soft wash hose quick connect
@@powerfulimprovements The x jet nozzle fit my gun! I tried it on a 3/8 quick connect earlier, and it didn’t fit, so I assumed it wouldn’t fit my gun. Forgot my gun has the 1/4 quick connect on. Doh! 🙄
@@powerfulimprovements yessir wow. Haven’t done that in a while lol. I just rinsed with the x jet like you said you like to do. A customer wanted some leaves blown off their pool screening so I just rinsed as they asked for no chemical. Boy it worked wonders! I thought it may be too strong for the screen, but wow I was wrong. I’m waiting on the M5 twist so I can soap with that. Thanks for all the info brother.
Hey joe quick thing , I hear you always say power washing but what you are doing is pressure washing. I actually found out there is a difference, pressure washing is what we do with our machines as to power washing is when your doing the same but with hot water , so in reality we are pressure washing not power washing , I love your content brother keep it up
@@powerfulimprovements oh no brother thank you for making such great content , I’m sorry to have told you about that . I’ve built my business down here in Miami watching your channel , thank you for showing what you do and how you do it 👍🙏
